Im managing Ibiza in Spain, I signed a french winger over the summer who is currently unable to settle, so I granted a leave of absence which he is currently undertaking.
However my AssMan said that he's performing very well in training and showing improvements in his game? He's away for another two weeks...

I have a funny relationship with FM the last couple of years; I played 20 to death and won the PL with Oxford 3 straight seasons, didnt get into 21.
Delved back into 22 but it's taken a lot of effort, havent really enjoyed it until now. I'm with Ibiza but only got into it after the latest/final big patch.
I don't like starting something that I know has a lot of bugs and won't be the final version until the following March/April

Thanks, just checking that this was a known issue.
on a related point, positive reactions such as praising the defence as a group for a clean sheet, or the midfield for bossing the game, can generate similar reactions. How can someone be demotivated or stressed in those situations?

I tried to praise a player for a great performance, Apo Halme. He said that he viewed his form differently and ended up really disappointed after the chat.
How can players be annoyed/disappointed after praising them after a good win, when his morale has been sky high since signing 3 months ago

Hi guys
Really struggling with this but hopefully a quick one; during a match, I want to see shots/passes/avge positions/tackles etc to see how well the tactic is working. I've clicked on the tablet icon, but this only shows things like the visualiser, match stats
I know where to find these in the Data Hub, but I'm desperate to see it in-game.
Thank you!

Should be ok. Benchmarks suggest it's still fairly decent.
If you don't have a dedicated graphics card, you'll likely need to turn 3D graphics settings down to lower presets.
graphics card is NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050

morning all,
I'm stepping back into the black hole of FM, having missed out on 21. What is your view on this spec, will it be fine/bearable/eye wateringly slow? I'm not fussed about the highest detail levels or loading every league, although I would like the option to possibly manage in a few countries depending on how my save goes.

I'm with Kaiserslautern in the Bundesliga after 2 successive promotions to the Bundesliga, expected to battle bravely against relegation in my first season in the top tier.
The squad came to me saying that they are unhappy with things. There are a couple of players who have poor/abysmal morale because they're not getting game time, but morale was superb 4 games ago with the board saying that I'm doing an unbelievable job etc.
My wage spend is 235k a week (LOL) which is comfortably the lowest in the division. However I am TEN points clear of 16th, with 15 points from 11 games. I did go out of the Cup at the 2nd round, when I was expected to reach the third round. This was my fault, as I played a heavily weakened/rotated side. But I'm generally winning one and then losing one...it's not as though we're 10 points adrift of safety?
Nonetheless, I think I'm working miracles and think this is slightly harsh!

hi guys - so just confirming this. I've been promoted with Kaiserslautern into Bundesliga and BADLY need to strengthen...so it looks like there's no windfall coming my way then until the end of the first season?!

Hi all
I'm with Kaiserslautern in the Bundesliga after back to back promotions. So I want to improve my coaching staff throughout the club, from first team, to U19s, to the reserve squad.
I've brought in a Technical Director, who has 19 for judging staff ability.
However, he has brought in some utter dross for my reserve squad, a GK coach of 8 or less for all three GK coaching specialisms. Similarly, a fitness coach with 7 for fitness coaching.
The reserve squad does have the most staff vacancies, and Im not expecting 20s across the board, but I'm at a loss as to why he's bringing in such dross?

The signings have really catapulted me way ahead of schedule in terms of the club vision; I'm now making a genuine fist of a promotion attempt to the Bundesliga.
Bergmann is a superb playmaker, but I've been impressed by the loan signings I mentioned in the previous post. Without those, it would definitely have been an uphill battle to avoid relegation.

Hi all
Well things are going well for me in Bundesliga 2; after a raft of loan signings, I'm sitting third after 18 games, 1 point off 2nd and 4 off 3rd. Since the objective was to avoid relegation, the Board are saying that I'm doing an unbelievable job etc
I did spend a small amount on a couple of players, but as above I've made some season long loan signings. Four from Spurs; Tangana, Skipp, Parrott and Jack Clarke. They are all doing wonders for me. As are James Garner from Man Utd and Liam Millar from Liverpool.
Im playing a 4-1-4-1 or 442, generally on balanced with conservative full backs. Skipp, Garner and Bergmann make a great central 3 at this level.
I'd be interested to hear any updates on Kaiserslautern. Also, keeping squad players fit...do you arrange friendlies for this purpose? They dont seem to get a chance in the U19s..
Thanks

Really interesting thread this mate, cheers. I think the squad is utterly dreadful and needs so much work, but without the resources to do it.
I started with them and just won promotion via the play offs. Beat Karlsruhe 2-1 on aggregate.
I signed Bakary Kone on a free, and Oliver Skipp on a season long loan, and they were solid if unspectacular for me.
Had real issues with the squad too in terms of morale and support, and only now is the manager support good. A big effort required to avoid relegation and will need some wheeling and dealing

absolutely amazing work. Is it safe yet to take over my local team Walthamstow in the Essex Senior League?!
How does the new feature of Club Vision work with clubs so far down the footballing pyramid?

yes I'd also love to play on the TV, but need to wire a keyboard and mouse

thanks Ben
OK fine, but I could play on a browser through the TV with the mouse/keyboard?

Yeah, mouse and keyboard should work properly and easy at least yesterday I was playing Destiny 2 that way, and had no issue at all, it was feeling like just having the computer in a website
cheers, I just saw this and wasnt sure?

TBH, I think this game is one that you wouldn't like to play with a controller... (it would be a pain with all the typing and clicking) still you can always hook in a wireless mouse/keyboard and then be able to play as if you were in your computer...
Actually yesterday I was playing destiny in the laptop (using stadia) and you could switch between the controller and the keyboard as you please (Just go to stadia.google.com )
yes I totally get that. I'm a PS4 guy and also had a decent laptop for FM19....
So excuse the silly question - but a bog-standard wireless mouse and keyboard would work fine for FM20 on Stadia?
I have the founders edition so will be using a Chromecast plugged into my TV

it's a shame from that review that its unplayable on a TV screen with a stadia controller :-(
Thats how I was hoping to play it.
Would it be possible with a wireless mouse?

of course yes - running every league should be possible, Can't wait

ok great have managed to get Founder

what is the latest on Stadia release date?

none that I'd even consider having a long term future at the club. I try to sign young players by having them scouted, and buy them for the U20 and U18 squads
The dream scenario would be the HOYD telling me that the crop is a golden generation.
Not saying I expect that, just wondering what else I can do to improve the overall standard

Loan issue in La Liga
in Football Manager General Discussion
Posted
I have this kid on loan with Ibiza, paying him 300 a week, yes £300.
However La Liga rules state a minimum wage of £2,500, I renewed the loan deal towards the end of last season, but I got promoted.
No recall/terminate clause on the deal, am I stuck?! Such a waste...there's no option anywhere to re-negotiate the deal
