  1. I was wondering, how do you see Real Madrid's real life tactic in the game, and I'm interested in the front 4. Ronaldo and Di Maria sometimes act like inside forwards but usually they play with their stronger foot outside and that doesn't make sense, also Ozil looks like an Advanced Playmaker with a support duty? And finally the striker is Poacher or Adv forward? I'm trying to recreate their play style in FM 2012 after having some success in 2011, but the counter attacks seem much less effective and can't make players to play more through balls :< However my question remains: their roles?
  2. Thanks for the quick reply, I have since then switched the AMR to a winger, to try and create more space, but it's still very hard... indeed I'll try to analyze things more... The problem is that players don't have space, they are being closed down and marked tightly. I'll try more by myself to find a solution to this issue, I'm sure it'll feel better:D Also, BIG thanks for the thread, it really helped me a lot in understanding the game!
  3. What do you do when you find yourself having a decent amount of possession, it's even in the opposition's field, however when you get to that final pass players can't make it... it's always being intercepted and things like that... can't get the ball to a free man. I play a 4-2-3-1 and usually the striker and the 2 inside forwards are just on the line with the opposition's defenders however I can't find a through pass to create real chances... so most of the opportunities end up as long shots... Most of the opposition are playing 4-2-2-2 (yes, I am in Brazil), I tried exploiting the flanks but still, my striker is short and still can't get that final pass. So how do you solve this kind of problems? Do you alter width, tempo etc., player mentality, roles etc... I would really like an insight on stuff like this.
  4. Firstly, I bow before you Cleon, awesome work, and indeed it made me see the game in a different way, it is also very intriguing to see that even though i won 5-0 my defenders pass ratio is 50-60%, so work work for me from now on . @SavageNick - Professionalism and Ambition are the key for Complacency, Professionalism mostly, you will notice that players that tend to cry about heavy training schedules also tend to get complacent.
