  1. Stuart Brawls, União Micaelense 2024-25, Season 11, Portugal Premier League Squad | Finances | Transfers | Reputation | Financial Ranking | Fans Player of the Year Season Targets and Pre-Season After completing a domestic treble last season and reaching the Semi-Final of the Champions League our aims for the season was to defend our league title and have another good Champions League campaign. To enable this I brought in a couple of first team improvements but also some much improved squad players. This would result in me being able to field an almost a completely differrent 11 in the domestic cup competitions ensuring that our main players remained fresh for the main objectives of this challenge. The other big decision before the start of the season was the sale of Muhammed Hajji who beginning his final year of his contract wanted too much money to extend his contract (compared to what the board would allow me to give him) and so the decision was taken to sell him to Arsenal for 8.25m, i had originally bought him 2 years before for only 550k. Our only other concerns for the season would be the loss of Mohammed Saad for Kuwait and Farid Joukar for Iran as they played throughout November and December in the World Cup Asia Quals and WAAF Championship and also Mamadou Kouadio in January for the African Cup of Nations. Supertaca We had previously played in the Supertaca twice before and lost to Benfica on both occasions. This year we faced Moreirense who we had beaten in the Taca de Portugal final. A 4-2 win gave us our 1st victory in this competition. Fixtures Taca De Portugal We had won the this Cup in the 2 previous seasons and using our squad players we progressed through the early rounds by beating Freamunde 5-1, Arouca 1-0 and Vit. Setubal 2-0. We then drew Benfica in the 6th round and most of our first team players returned to play this match. Benfica took the lead in the 1st minute before we took hold of the game a by half time we were 3-1 up after 2 goals from Souza and 1 from Clayton. Souza then missed a penalty in the 2nd half to extend our lead but we still progressed with a 3-1 win. Our squad players then returned for the 2 legs in the Semi-Final against Second League side Oliveira Bairro and with a 3-0 home win and a 4-1 away win we progressed to the final 7-1 on aggregate. For the second succesive season we faced Moreirense in the final and we were fantastic as a hat-trick from David Saavedra plus goals from Hernan Pinna and Simeon Stoychev meant we won the Cup for the thrid year in a row with a 5-0 win. Fixtures | FinalLeague Cup We had also won this competition for the previous 2 season and we entered straight into the 3rd Phase Group Stage and by beating Belenenses 4-3, Gil Vicente 3-1 and Vit. Setubal 6-0 we topped the group. The Semi-Final was against Fc Porto but we couldn't take the many chances that we created and the final score a 1-0 defeat to knock us out of the competition Fixtures | Table League - Premier League After winning the league for the first time in the previous season we were looking to repeat the league win. We had another brilliant season as we reached the top of the league after 4 games and were never headed as for the third season in a row we scored 79 points. As we only had 5 games left to play after the 22nd March and with the league title already secured we were able to rotate the squad and give some of the players who had mainly only played in the cup matches some games in the league. Table | Graph | FixturesEUROPEAN CAMPAIGN Champions League After winning the league last season we entered the competition in the Group Stage in the third group of seeds and were drawn against last years winners of this competition AC Milan, Olympique Lyonnais and IFK Goteborg. A 3-1 win in the opening game away at IFK Goteborg was followed by a 2-2 home draw against AC Milan after we equalised in the 91st minute. The 2 games against Lyon finished 4-1 at home and 2-2 away after we equalised in the 94th minute. The home match against IFK Goteborg ended in a 3-0 win whic was enough to secure our progression to the 1st knockout round. All that was left was the away game against AC Milan for who finish 1st and 2nd. The first half ended 2-2 after we went 1-0 down and then 2-1 up. We then missed a penalty in the second half before AC scored 2 late goals ton beat us 4-2 and leave us in second place in the group. We faced Liverpool in the 1st Knockout round and at home first we found ourselves 1-0 down after a 14th minute penalty. We fought back and Jansson volleyed home a cross from Kouadio after 40 mins to draw us level at 1-1 at half time. Just after the break we won a penalty ourselves but Kouadio's penalty was saved by the Liverpool keeper. Kouadio then made amends on 55 mins as he slotted home a throughball from Souza. The match then ended 2-1. The away leg again saw us again go behind early on as Lieverpool took the lead after 7 mins giving Liverpool the advantage on away goals. We fought back and after 22 mins Kouadio headed home a cross from Jansson. A corner on 29 mins ended up in a bit of 6 yard pinball before Saad eventually scored for us giving us a 2-1 lead on the night and a 4-2 lead on aggregate. Despite both sides having chances in the remainder of the match there was no further goals. We were now in the Quarter Final where we face another English side in Manchester City. Again the Home leg was first for us and despite pour dominace through the match we were unable to find a breakthrough as the game ended 0-0. Unsurprisingly the Man of the Match went to the Man City goalkeeper. The away leg saw us make a crucial breakthrough after only 34 seconds as Kouadio, despite being surrounded by 6 City players (after they all followed the ball!) on the byeline, managed to get the ball out and across the goal to find Jansson who only had to tap the ball home. We continued to press forwards but there was no change to the scoreline until the 60 minute when a 25 yard freekick was curled into the top corner of the net by Kouadio. Kouadio then made the victory even more emphatic by scoring a penalty after 82 mins. We therefore progressed with a 3-0 aggregate win. Man City in the whole of the second leg at the Etihad Stadium produced the grand total of 4 shots. The Semi Final was amazingly against yet another English side in Chelsea. This time the away leg was first and just like the away match against Man City we took the lead in the 1st minute as Kouadio was challenged in the box by a Chelsea defender and the ball rolled across goal to enable Jansson to score from 2 yards out. Chelsea fought back and after our keeper saved one shot the ball fell to another Chelsea player in Javi Fernandez who was able to roll the ball into the net to level the match. On the 29th minute Jansson played Kouadio through past the Chelsea defense and he was able to beat the keeper and give us a 2-1 away lead. Both teams then continued to create chances but the 1 remaining goal in the match came on the 79th minute when Tkemaladze crossed for Kouadio to score a header past the keeper from an almost impossible angle. After the 17 shots and 12 on target the 3-1 away win in the first leg gave us a fantastic opportunity of making our first European final. The Home leg saw me make 2 changes as i took the risk of leaving out both of my full backs, Tkemaladze and Clayton as they were the only 2 players at risk of missing the final if they picked up another yellow card. The first half did not go according to the plan of controlling the game and keep the scoreline level as the scorer for Chelsea from the first leg, Javi Fernandez, scored a first time shot from over 20 yards out into the top corner after 23 minutes and then scored a penalty after 43 mins to give Chelsea a 2-0 lead on the night leaving us with only the away goal advantage with the tie 3-3 on aggregate. Controlling the game obviously wasnt working and so we made a couple of tactical changes and these were almost instantly vindicated as in the 1st minute of first half injury time Jansson broke through past the Chelsea defense but his shot was saved by Thibault Courtois but the rebound came straight back to him and he scored at the second attempt. With Chelsea looking to get back in the tie we were able to hold them back and in the 81st minute a break eventually saw Van Steensel play Kouadio through to slot the ball past Courtois. A 91st minute corner eventually ended up at the feet of Mohammed Saad who scored to give us a 3-2 win on the night and a 6-3 win on aggregate to see us progree to the Champions League Fianl for the first time ever. Amazingly in the final we were not up against an English club though the Final was to be held in England at Wembley. Instead we faced fellow Portuguese side FC Porto and after our domestic domination of recent years this gave us enourmous confidence of winning the Champions Lague for the first time and completing this challenge. Porto had progressed to the Final after finishing 2nd in their group to Celtic (Bayern were knocked out in this group) then aggregate wins of 3-0 over Anderlecht, 5-1 over BATE and a 2-2 away goals win over Celtic. So the first Champions League final for Union Clube de Micaelense went as follows: 0 Min: Kick off by Micaelense here at Wembley for the Champions League Final featuring 2 Portuguese sides. 8th Min: Attack for Micaelense and Souza passes to Jansson who's pass to Kouadio is blocked by a Porto defender who in trying to clear the call hits the ball against Jansson and the ball falls to Kouadio who then fires a shot from the edge of the area only for it to thunder back off the crossbar! 15th Min: Clayon passes the ball into the box to Jansson who then rolls it off to Souza who 8 yards out shoots but it hits the post and is cleared by the Porto defense. 25th Min: Vietto advances down the right wing for Porto and looks to cross the ball into the danger area but is then fouled by Micaelense's left back Clayton who picks up a YELLOW CARD and will miss the next European match. 27th Min: Micaelense have the ball in the centre circle with Souza who is challenged from behind by Porto's central midfielder Igor Rodriguez who gets a YELLOW CARD. 31st Min: Porto attack down the middle of the pitch but a pass by Yarmolenko is intercepted by Micaelense's Ginga who is then fouled from behind by Igor Rodriquez. GOAL TO FC PORTO, 0-2 45th +1 Min: Tkemaladze intercepts a Porto pass in the centre of the park and he quickly passes the ball forward to put Kouadio through down the right wing. GOAL FOR MICAELENSE, 2-2. 51st Min: Micaelense are passing the ball all aorund the centre of the part pulling the Porto players out of position trying to find an opening. Carlos Roberto passes sideways to Ginga who plays it forward to Souza who spots the run of the full back Clayton down the left wing and Souza plays a throughball to Clayton on the corner of the penalty area who takes a few touches before shooting across the goalkeeper trying to find the opposite corner of the net and he does exactly that. GOAL FOR MICAELENSE, 3-2. 57th Min: Porto Attack down the left wing with Yarmolenko who runs past Tkemaladze but he is held back by the Micaelense right back. YELLOW CARD for Tkemaladze who will miss the next European fixture. 68th Min: Porto make their first sub as right winger Garre is replaced with left winger Costa as Yarmolenko switches wings. 69th Min: Attack for Micaelense as Tkemaladze runs down the right wing and crosses the ball into the 6 yard box as Kouadio controls the ball and shoots across goal beating the keeper and finding the bottom corner. GOAL FOR MICAELENSE, 4-2. 70th Min: Double sub for Porto as right back Evandro is replaced with Diaz and centre back Quintero is replaced with central midfielder Echeverria as Porto look to get back in the game. 76th Min: Clayton brings the ball forward toward the halfway line down the left hand side of the pitch and is brought down by Yarmolenko who picks up a YELLOW CARD. 77th Min: Micaelense make their first sub of the game as Ginga leaves the field to be replaced with fresher legs in the form of Junior. 80th Min: Throw-in to Porto near the corner flag. The ball is picked up by Emerson who plays it forward to Costa who crosses the ball into Yarmolenko who gets a glancing header to force the ball across towards the opposite corner but it takes a defelection to deceive the Micaelense keeper and 10 man Porto have pulled a goal bakc to force a thrilling finish to this Final. GOAL FOR PORTO, 4-3. 85th Min: Poto have the ball in the centre of the park and Emerson runs forward but is tripped by Van Steensel. Freekick to Porto and YELLOW CARD for Van Steensel. 89th Min: Freekick for Porto near the halfway line. Costa launches the freekick into the box trying to find one of the many onrushing Porto players but the ball is won in the air by Saad but Clayton is pushed over by Porto's Vietto and Micaelense get a freekick and Vietto picks up a YELLOW CARD. 90th +2 Min: Costa brings the ball forward down the left wing and looks to cross the ball into the box but Micaelense right back Tkemaladze slides in but mistimes his challenge and brings down Costa. 2. Stuart Brawls, União Micaelense 2023-24, Season 10, Portugal Premier League Squad | Finances | Transfers | Reputation | Financial Ranking | Fans Player of the Year Season Targets After winning both cup competitions last season and narrowly missing out on the league championship (finished 2nd a single point from 1st) our aim for the new season was to win the league. Supertaca As cup winners we faced League champions Benfica in the Supertaca. Unfortunately for us we were not good enough so early in the season and were beaten 2-1 Taca De Portugal As defending champions we had high hopes in the competition this season. After a comfortable 4-0 win over National league side Torreense in the 3rd round we faced Porto in the 4th round. We took the lead against Porto from a corner with a header from our left back Clayton before Porto equalised before half time. The winner deservedly came in the second half as Hajji drilled the ball home from the edge of the box after 63 mins. The 5th round gave us another difficult tie against Sporting. We fell behind after only 2 minutes but Souza scored a tap in to equalise after 20 mins. We then couldn't hit a barn door as chance after chance missed the target which result in the score being 1-1 after 90 and was still 1-1 after 120 mins. Both teams scored their first 3 penalties before Sporting missed their fourth to give us the advantage but we were unable to capitalise as Souza also missed the fourth penalty. With the next 2 penalties both scored we were into sudden death at 4-4. Amazingly both teams scored their next 8 penalties before at 12-12 Sporting missed and we were finally able to capitalise as Junior scored to give us a 13-12 penalty win. In the 6th round tie against Maritimo 2 goals from Kouadio saw us comfortably through. The Semi Final over 2 legs put us up against Tondela. With the home leg first we looked to dominate the tie from the off and with goals from Souza (22), Jansson (34) and Kouadio (59) we were in a comfortable position though Tondela did pull as late goal back with their only shot on target. Taking the 3-1 lead into the second leg we rested a couple of our players and one of the players to come into the side was Ugonna Johnsson who bagged a brace to put us 2-0 up in the match and 5-1 up on aggregate. Unfortunately we feel apart at the end of the game as Tondela scored in the 89th and 91st minutes to end the leg 2-2 and 5-3 on aggregate. The final was against Moreirense and a strike from the edge of the area from Jansson after 11 minutes gave us the perfect start to the final. Jansson got his sceond of the game after 33 minutes to give us a commanding 2-0 lead at half time. The seond half saw Moreirense come back into the game as a goal from a throw in after 50 mins put them back in the game at 2-1. The game was evenly matched for the next half an hour before after 80 minutes our top goalscorer Kouadio slotted home a through ball from Souza. We saw the rest of the game out to win our second successive Taca de Portugal with a 3-1 win. Fixtures | FinalLeague Cup We entered this competition as defending champions and were placed straight into the second group phase against Belenenses, Nacional de Madeira and Moreirense. A 4-1 win over Belenenses, 1-1 draw against Nacional de Madeira and a 3-1 win over Moreirense saw us top our group with 7 points and through to the semi final against Rio Ave. The match against Rio Ave saw 2 goals from Kouadio to give us a 2-0 victory. The final was against Porto and after a tense opening few minutes the deadlock was broken after 24 minutes when Jansson put us ahead as he lobbed the keeper after being put through by Hajji. The scoreline remained 1-0 at half time. We pressed forward in the second half and added to our lead with a goal from Felipe (ST) after 58 mins as both Hajji and Felipe both picked up injuries. This enabled Vietto to pull 1 back for Porto and to put us under pressure with the score at 2-1. Thankfully we were able to scope with the pressure as goals from Jansson after 85 mins and Souza in the 92nd gave us a fantastic 4-1 victory over Porto as we retained the trophy. Fixtures | Table | FinalLeague - Premier League After falling short in the 2 previous seasons to end up finishing 2nd (with 71 and 79 points from 30 games) after top the league late into the season we were deterined this season to win the league for the first time. With the additions of Momadou Kouadio from Porto up front, Mohammed Saad in defense and Valter Neto in goal we had significantly strengthened the squad over the summer break. Thankfully we had an absolutley amazing season as we went on a long winning streak that gave us a significant points lead early on as both Benfica and Porto stummbled. Our form continued and we were able to win the league for the 1st time with several games to spare. We finished the season with 79 points (the same as last season!) but this time rather than finish 1 point off 1st we finished 16 points ahead of 2nd. Table | Graph | FixturesEUROPEAN CAMPAIGN Champions League Last season we reached the quarter final where we were knocked out by Man. United 5-4 on aggregate. This season we were drawn in the group stage along side PSG, Ajax and Shakhtar. We didn't start the group stage well as we were completly outclassed away at PSG and were quite frankly lucky to leave with a 1-0 defeat. A tough game at home to Shakhtar followed as we struggled to break them down in the first half and as a result we went into half time level at 0-0. An early goal in the second half from Hajji looked to give us the advantage but Clayton was sent off after 49 mins and we had to finish the game off with 10 men. We were able to hold on and took 3 valuable points with the 1-0 win. The 2 games againgst Ajax ended 2-2 away and at home we won 3-1 to give us 7 points from 4 games. The home tie against PSG followed and this was a very even match as the stats were almost identical for both sides. The difference came through Jansson as he scored the only goal of the game to give us a 1-0 win and guarantee us qualification from the group. We ended with a 1-0 away defeat against Shakhtar in a match we were the better side but we still ended up topping the group with 10 points. 1st knockout round put us up against Real Madrid. The away leg was first and we were quickly out of the box as Jansson bagged a brace with half an hour and 2 important away goals. Real Madrid came back though and Memphis Depay bagged a brace for himself either side of half time to level the match 2-2. Real Madrid were the better side till the end of the match and we were fortunate for the game to finish level at 2-2. The Home leg was similar to the away leg in that Jansson continued his excellent European form as he again bagged a brace of goals after an hour to give us a nice advantage. Real pulled 1 back after 78 minutes but we held on and Kouadio put icing on the cake as he scored in the 90 min to give us a 3-1 win on the night and a 5-3 victory on aggregate. The Quater Final was against Inter Milan (who we had beaten in the group stage last season). Our confidence going into this tie ebbed away as the first home leg ended in a 3-3 draw after we threw away a 1-0 and 3-1 leads in the match. We therefore had to attack in the second leg to nulify the away goal advantage that Inter had and we were able to capitalise as we crucially won the leg 3-1 to give us a 6-4 victory. For the first time in our history we had reached the semi final of the Champions League where we would face Bayern Munich. The away leg was first and Bayern were lethal in front of goal in this match as they ran out 3-1 winners. We tried to turn the tie around in the second home leg and won the game but only managed a 2-1 victory which put us out 4-3 on aggregate. Still it was a fantastic run for us in this competition. 3. Stuart Brawls, União Micaelense 2022-23, Season 9, Portugal Premier League Squad 1 | Squad 2 | Finances | Transfers | Reputation | Financial Ranking | Fans Player of the Year Season Targets After last seasons 2nd place finish, we were looking to challenge for the title in the league whilst competing in the group stage of the champions league for the first time. Taca De Portugal After coming through the first 3 rounds we entered with 2 3-0 and 1 3-1 wins we found ourselves in the Quarter Final against our arch nemesis Benfica, who had beat us in all domestic competitions last season and in the 13 previous meetings we had never beaten them. This was a match that we were excellent in as we took the lead after 14 mins through a tap in from Jansson. We held the lead at 1-0 into the second half when Jansson set up both Joao Pedro and substitute Bimbao to put us 3-0 up before Benfica got a consolation goal after 88 mins. Fantastic result for us in beating Benfica for the first time. The 2 legged semi-final drew us against Porto. The tiredness of our players due to many tough games in a row reflected in our first leg performance at home as we struggled the whole game and were fortunate to leave with a 1-1 draw. The second Away leg required goals from us to be able too progress and we got off to the perfect start as Castillo scored after only 2 mins. Porto equalised 20 mins later to level the match. We continued to push forward and were rewarded when Bimbao scored to put us ahead again but also to give us that extra away goal. The second half went well as we increased our lead through Souza after 66 mins before Porto pulled one back. Castillo got his second of the game in injury time to see us win 4-1 on the night and 5-3 on aggregate. The Final was against Sporting and we played fantastic throughout the match, limiting them to only 3 shots in the whole match. We therefore won the cup for the first time with a 2-0 win. Fixtures | FinalLeague Cup We entered the competition in the group stage up against Pacos Ferreira, Belenenses and Nacional de Madeira. With 2-0, 1-0 and 3-2 wins we qualified from the group and into the Semi-Final. Sporting were our opposition in the semi-final and it was a struggle as all our top scorers were not able to take their chances. Eventually we took the lead but only through an own goal. It turned out to be the deciding moment as we won 1-0. We faced Benfica in the final for the second year running (after a 1-1 draw we lost last years final on penalties). Both of us had chances during the game but were not able to take them and so the match ended goalless and again we went into a penalty shootout. The first 6 penalties were all scored but the 7th penalty was missed and it was our Joao Pedro and with the next 2 penalties being scored it looked as though we were going to lose 5-4. Then Benfica missed the vital penalty so we were level 4-4 after 5 pens and into sudden death. The next 2 pens were both missed then the next 2 were scored. Daniel scored for us before Benfica missed their next penalty to give us the victory 6-5 on pens. This victory gave us our first ever top level trophy. Fixtures | Table | FinalLeague - Premier League A fantastic season saw us lose only 1 game out of 30. We drew 4 games and scored 79 points. Still we were not able to win the league as we were pipped by 1 point by Benfica. Table | Graph | Fixtures 1 | Fixtures 2EUROPEAN CAMPAIGN Champions League We had qualified straight into the group stage and drew Schalke, Inter and Sevilla. We got a 0-0 draw at home to Inter but really we should have taken atleast 1 of the many chances that we had. We then sneaked a 2-1 win away at Schalke in a time that we were very evenly matched and followed this up with 2 wins against Sevilla. A 2-1 win over Inter guaranteed our progress from the group in 1st even with the 2-0 defeat to Schalke in the last game of the group. The 1st Knockout round was against AC Milan. A brilliant performance at the San Siro saw us run out 3-0 winners with goals from Jansson, Hajji and Joao Pedro. Ac put us under real pressure in the second leg and took the lead in the 34th min. They continued to attack and created alot of chances but were not able to add to the 1 goal. In the end we were able to break clear in the 84th min for Souza to score, level the match 1-1 and end the tie as 4-1 winners. The Quarter Final was against Man. United. The first Home leg saw United as the better side as they took the lead in the first half through Wilfried Zaha. In the second half we rallied and took our chances as Felipe scored twice in quick succession to give us a 2-1 lead after 71 mins. We blew it though as Danny Welbeck and Insigne scored in the last few mins to give Man. United a 3-2 away win. The match at Old Trafford was another exciting match. United twice took the lead but twice we were able to equalise through Castillo and Souza. We tried but failed in getting the 3rd goal which would have sent the tie into extra time. So we bowed out 5-4 on aggregate. Fixtures | TablePlayers Rafael Veloso - Played alot more this season and had the least goals conceded and most clean sheets. Luciano Culio - Played less this season as he wasn't as good as last year when he had won premier league goalkeeper of the year. Emilio Zeballos - Had an excellent season at right back with an average rating of 7.25 and 10 assists. Martin Laros - Backup right back who was decent when used. Garrincha - Backup left back who did well when called upon with an average rating of 7, 2 goals and 3 assists. Clayton - After being dissapointed with him last year i kept faith in him and he was our first choice left back this season. His average rating of 7.14 shows he stepped up and had a good season. Alexandre Alfaiate - Bought for 230k as a decent player to rotate, he was also portuguese which i needed for the league cup. He did well in the games that he played in Marvin Gonzalez - Best centre back at the club and he had a very good season. Lautaro Manquez - Backup centre back who played very well in the 17 games he started. Fabio Mariano - Our other first choice centre back who also had a very good season and even bagged 5 goals. Muhammed has a lot of potential and had a very good 1st season. with 13 assists. We just need to improve his finishing. Felipe - Was excellent in the champions league with 6 goals but i was dissapointed with him only scoring 8 goals in the league. Nicolae Rata - Used as a backup and picked up 2 goals. Ricardo Castillo - Had a very good season and picked up 11 league goals from just over half of the games as Felipe. Johannes Jansson - This seasons top goalscorer with 23 goals. 4. Stuart Brawls, União Micaelense 2021-22, Season 8, Portugal Premier League Squad 1 | Squad 2 | Finances | Transfers | Reputation | Financial Ranking | Fans Player of the Year | Season Summary Season Targets After last seasons 3rd place finish, we were looking to consolidate our position in the league whilst embarking on our first ever European campaign. Supertaca Portugal Early season match fitness struggles, perhaps. Never really in the game went down 2-0 early on but managed a consolation goal in the second half but still lost to Benfica 2-1. Final Taca De Portugal We entered the cup in the 3rd round and were drawn against Leixoes from the Second League. We struggled in this match as we twice took the lead but were pegged back on both occasions. Then after 60 mins our centre back Gonzalez was sent off for hauling down an opponent when he was the last man. The match saw no further goals in normal time so our 10 men went into extra time level at 2-2. Thankfully we were still able to retain the majority of possession and as our opposition faded we were able to capitalise as Oliveira scored a rare goal just before half time which would prove to be the game winner and send us through 3-2aet. We were then drawn Away against Benfica and having to play the game a couple of days after a European game meant that i had to rest a few players. It turned out to be too much as we were battered 4-1 and knocked out of the tournament for the 3rd year in a row by Benfica. Fixtures League Cup We entered this cup in the 3rd phase and were drawn in a group along with Maritimo, Tondela and Nacional de Madeira and 3-2, 5-0 and 2-0 wins saw us progress from the group and into the Semi-Final. In the Semi-Final we were up against Porto and we played well eventually going into the lead on the 61st minute thanks to a goal from Esteves. It looked liked we were heading into the final but in the 91st minute Porto equalised to send the match into penalties. Thankfully we scored all 5 penalties and the 1 penalty miss from Porto was enough to give us the win and progress to the final. The final put us up against Benfica. It was a close tight match and there were no goals in the first half. The second half saw us take the lead on 59 minutes through Rui Borges and we settled down to see the game out. Benfica piled on the pressure and racked up the shots on goals. Eventually the pressure told and Benfica equalised after 81 minutes. There were no more goals and when the 90 mins were up the match went to penalties. This time it was us that missed a penalty whilst Benfica scored all of theirs. So Benfica beat us in yet another cup match. Fixtures | Table | FinalLeague - Premier League An excellent start to the season saw us in contention from the start settling into second place behind porto. Around the halfway point of the season we pushed on and went on a good streak of wins that saw us top of the table with a few points in hand over Porto. In the final third of the season the goals seemed to dry up as we struggled with tiredness with the number of additional games, playing a couple of days after European games, injuries, etc. We had barely beaten the bottom 2 sides 1-0 and 2-1 and scrapped another 1-0 wins when with 5 games to go we lost our top scorer Felipe to injury and then our form completely disappeared. After a couple of 1-1 draws we were away against Benfica in the penultimate league game and we held a 3 point advantage over them. A poor performance saw us lose 2-0 and we fell behind them in the league on goal difference. The final game of the season saw us lose to Belenenses 1-0 as they scored from their only shot on target as we couldn't convert any of our 14 shots. Benfica won the league by 3 points after winning all of their last 13 games. Table | Graph | Fixtures 1 | Fixtures 2EUROPEAN CAMPAIGN Champions League Having finished 3rd in the league last season we had qualified for the champions league best placed qualification round 3 which meant we needed to get through 2 rounds to make the group stage. We were drawn to play Anderlecht. I guess that we hadn't quite got the match fitness in preseason as we struggled the whole of the away leg and were lucky to lose only 1-0. The home leg we played much better as we levelled the tie with a 23rd min goal from Jansson but Anderlecht grabbed an away goal just before half time. We scored again in the second half but were unable to get another which meant that with the score 2-2 on aggregate we lost on away goals. Fixtures Europa League After crashing out of the Champions league at, for us, the first qualification stage we then entered the Europa league final qualification phase. Here we had to beat Rangers to reach the group stage and this was where we found our form as we ran out comfortable 6-2 winners in the home leg and the away leg saw us win again 3-2 seeing Micaelense win their first 2 legged European tie 9-4 on aggregate. The group stage put us up against Anderlecht (they got beat by Roma in the final champions league qualification round), FC Twente and Lech Poznan. Picking up 4 points against all 3 teams in our group meant that we qualified 1st from our group. The 1st knockout round saw us play Vitesse, a good 2-1 away win gave us a good advantage going into the home leg. Vitesse never gave up though and scored twice but thankfully we scored 3 on the night to put us through 5-3. The 2nd knockout round put us up against Celtic, 2 late goals in the home leg gave us the advantage going into the second leg which turned into another high scoring game and a 3-2 win for us resulting in a 5-2 aggregate win. Next up was the quarter finals and we faced big spending (£100m this season) Monaco. The away leg was first and we started off really well as we twice took the lead only to be pegged back on both occasions all of which happend in the first 30 mins of play. Monaco then grabbed the lead after 37 mins. There were no more goals in the game but most importantly we lost our top scorer Felipe after 75 mins to injury, he had scored 26 goals in all competitions this season but would score no more after picking up this injury. Despite this we were still confident of winning the tie, despite the 1 goal deficit, as we had the 2 away goals. Once again we twice took the lead in the first half but this time we were only pegged the once and went into half time 2-1 up on the night 4-4 on aggregate but ahead with the away goals. Looking good and keeping Monaco at bay the match was remaining scoreless in the second half but with 10 mins to go we gave away a penalty which they converted and this was enough to knock us out and for Monaco to progress 5-4 on aggregate. Monaco would go on to win the Europa league with a 2-1 win over Porto in the final, the decider in that match was also a penalty. Fixtures | Table Players Rafael Veloso - Continued as first choice at the start of the season but was conceding too many so dropped him and he then only played on occasion. Luciano Culio - Won the battle of the keepers and had an excellent season with 14 clean sheets and a goals conceded per game of only 1.03. Named in the League's Team of the Year and also Best Goalkeeper. Bernardo Carlos - Backup Emilio Zeballos - Signed to be my main right back and thats what he became as he had a good solid season. Rui Silva - Backup Martin Laros - Signed to be an improvement on my backups at right back and with the potential to improve, played occasionally but well. Leandro - 4th straight season as my best left back and his average rating continues to improve. Need to decide if i want to give into his wage demands (his contract is up) or if i can find a replacement (its been a tough position to find decent players for and if they perform on arrival). Clayton - Was signed to replace Leandro at left back (given a club high wage) but was the major disappointment of the season. No assists and a 6.68 average rating from 14 starts and 13 subs was not what i was expecting. Augusto Castro - A shame that he is now a backup and rarely plays, number 1 so far in total appearances for the club but his contract is up and i'm afraid it wont be renewed. Marvin Gonzalez - Excellent signing for only 30k. First choice centre back consistent and helped with 4 goals. Geovane - Backup but was injured for a considerable time. Fabio Mariano - Another solid season as he was present in almost every game this season, recovers well from matches and hasn't picked up injuries. Jose Azevedo - Backup who was loaned out. Ndongo Daniel - Had a good solid season and played in a lot of matches. Was disappointed with his 2 sending's off in the league, both towards the end of the season which didnt help with our end of season struggles. Maicol Morandini - Only got the occasional game, mainly when others were too tired after European games. Oliveira - A very good season as he got into double figures in assists with 10 and also bagged 4 goals. Junior - Used in both DM and defensive minded MC positions but performed well and even manage to get 5 goals. Claudio Ibraim - Record signing at the amazing sum of 75k (every one up until this season had been brought in on free transfers). Played more from the bench than starting games and i had hoped for more (he was rated a lot higher by my scouts than the Assistant Manager rates him). Rui Borges - Another excellent season from Rui as he consistently played well and picked up 8 goals and 9 assists. Another player though whose contract is up and who wants a lot more and 3 years to sign. Decision time! Samuel Owolabi - Used mainly as a backup. Felipe 2 - Signed to give us more of an attacking option from midfield as many of the other players are DM/M C. Used mainly from the bench though. Souza - Fantastic season and with Felipe was our best player. 20 goals and 16 assists from midfield show how good he was. Was named in the League's Team of the Year. Eduardo Esteves - Not the guaranteed first choice player he was in the past. He still started 14 and came on from the bench 14 times and picked up 9 goals. Another player whose contract is up and i have a decision to make. Felipe - Fantastic season and was missed at the end of the season. Top scorer with 26 goals and even helped the team with 19 assists. Nicolae Rata - Signed in January as the best potential striker i could find as we had a couple of injuries at the time. Still he did manage 2 assists from 46 sub appearances. Ricardo Castillo - Was signed to be a regular starter but had to be content to be used when needed. He still managed to get 5 goals and 3 assists. Johannes Jansson - An excellent season from our summer signing. Picking up 19 goals and 15 assists. 5. Stuart Brawls, União Micaelense 2020-21, Season 7, Portugal Premier League Squad 1 | Squad 2 | Finances | Transfers | Reputation | Financial Ranking | Fans Player of the Year Season Targets After last seasons (our 1st in the Premier League) excellent finish of 9th in the league the hope was to improve this season and obtain a place in the Europa League for next season. Taca De Portugal We scrapped through the 3rd and 4th rounds 1-0 against Second League opposition and again won 1-0 in the 5th round against fellow Premier League side Belenenses. We face another Second League side, AC Viseu, in the Quarter-Final and won alot more comfortably 4-0 including a Hat-Trick from Esteves. The 2 Leg Semi-Final put us up against Braga. The Away leg came first and we battled back in the second half from being 2-1 down to equalise and go into the home leg level at 2-2. We scored first in the second leg just before half time but Braga came back after the interval and equalised but we were able to press forward more and with goals from Borges and Felipe we won the leg 3-1 and went through to the final 5-3 on aggregate. Our first ever appearance in the final saw us come up against the mighty Benfica. An edgy first half from both sides saw half time come with no goals. After 64 mins our right back Barata broke clear down the wing and crossed for Souza to power forward from midfield to bury the header to give us a 1-0 lead in the final. Our joy was tempered when a minute later our centre back Haile Sailasse barged into one of the Benfica players and picked up a second yellow card leaving us a man down with 25 mins remaining. Benfica then pressed forward to take advantage and their shots started raining down on our net. We lasted until the 79th minute when they scored the equaliser. After that though we were able to hold on at 1-1 to take the game into Extra Time. It was in the 104th minute that to my surprise that Esteves set Souza up for a tap in to give 10 man Micaelense a 2-1 lead with the second half of Extra Time to go. We were hanging on to our lead despite the pressure that we were being put under and it was begining to look like we were going to hang on to win the Cup. That was until the 116th minute when Benfica managed to get the equaliser they were looking for. We did hold on after that and the game went to penalties. Our second penalty was taken by our 2 goal man Souza but on this occassion he wasn't able to beat the keeper and with Benfica scoring all our their penalties we lost 5-3. So we finished as runners up but am more than happy at our display as complete underdogs going into the match. Fixtures | FinalLeague Cup Giving some other players chances in the second phase 2 leg game against lower league Moreirense saw us 0-0 after the first away leg but the home leg saw us run out 2-0 winners. We were then into the third phase group c along with Sporting, Portimonense and Maritimo. A surprise 1-0 away win against Sporting put us incontrol of the group and we consolidated the position with 3-0 and 4-1 wins to ensure we topped the group and progressed to the Semi-Final for the 1st time. The Semi-Final put us up against Benfica away from home. The match didn't go to plan and we bowed out of the cup being beaten 2-0. Fixtures ¦ TableLeague - Premier League We had an excellent season were we settled into third place that we maintained through the majority of the season. We came under pressure towards the end of the season from Sporting. In the end we played Vit. Guimaraes in our final league game a day after everybody else had played (no idea why) knowing that a point would see us beat Sporting in the league after their win the day before. A comfortable 3-0 win saw us clinch 3rd place in the league and amazingly put us into the Champions League for next season. We suffered only 2 league defeats all season (but ended up 17 points behind Benfica) but the main problem we suffered with was drawing to many games as a result of lack of goals. We finished joint top in the number of draws, second best defensive record, but only 10th in goals scored. Bernardo Carlos - Backup right back Rui Silva - Another backup right back Leandro - Solid season but only 2 assists. Had expected more than the 2 goals and 0 assists that he managed. Souza - Excellent first season as he bagged 10 goals and 13 assists. Eduardo Esteves - Continues to add to his record breaking numbers of goals for the club. Added 19 goals, 8 assists and entered the 100 appearances group for the club. Stuart Brawls, União Micaelense 2019-20, Season 6, Portugal Premier League Squad 1 | Finances | Transfers | Reputation | Financial Ranking | Fans Player of the Year | Overall Best Eleven Season Targets With this being our first season the target for the season was to avoid relegation. Taca De Portugal We entered the Taca De Portugal in the 3rd round where we were drawn away against Second League side Naval. A decent performance and 2 goals from Ludo Deceuninck saw us progress. The 4th Round was again away this time against fellow Premier League side Vit. Setubal. A difficult 90 mins saw us struggle to a 1-1 draw that put us into extra time. Thankfully we improved and 2 goals from Esteves gave us a 3-1 win AET. A Fifth round tie against Second League side Academica beckoned but we struggled at times and scrapped through with a 1-0 win. The Sixth round saw the end of our cup run as we were drawn Away against Benfica and despite a spirited performance we lost 1-0. Fixtures League Cup For the first time in 3 years we got further than the 1st group phase in this competition though that was only because we entered it in the second phase thans to being a Premier League side. The Second Phase was over 2 legs and we drew Varzim of the second league and we comfortably progressed after a 5-1 aggregate win which put us into the 3rd Phase Group with Sporting, Braga and Portimonense. A 2-2 draw against Portionense and a good 2-0 win over Braga before a 1-0 defeat to Sporting was enough to earn us second place in the group but only the top team progressed to the Semi Final. Fixtures ¦ Table League - Premier League With the aim for the season to avoid relegation the start we made was encouraging as we were comfortably able to maintain a mid table poisition. Thankfully this form continued and with 5 games to go we found ourselves in 4th place. We then had to face the eventual 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 6th placed teams and as a result of the tough games and lack of points we dropped down to 9th at the end of the season. It also meant that we dropped below the 6th place that would have given us Europa league football. But even so i am delighted with the season and would have definately taken the league finish of 9th at the start of the season. Has the potential to improve though. Ruben Oliveira - Backup player used mainly from the bench and started the occasioanl cup game. Eduardo Esteves - Was glad that we managed to keep hold of Esteves, top scorer last season in the second league with 35 goals in 40 games. 8. Stuart Brawls, União Micaelense 2017-18, Season 4, Portugal Second League Squad 1 | Squad 2 | Finances | Transfers | Reputation | Financial Ranking | Fans Player of the Year Season Targets The target for the season was to improve on our 12th place finish last season and get into the top half of the second league. Taca De Portugal After defeating lower league opposition in the 2nd and 3rd rounds we were for the third season running into the 4th round but this time rather than facing a top division team we were up against fellow Second league side Trofense. It was a close game and after 90 mins the score was level at 2-2 after 2 goals from Roberto. Thankfully in Extra Time our ither striker Enoh score what turned out to be the winning goal after 105 mins to send us past this round for the 1st time. Round 5 was even more favourable for us as we were again drawn against lower league opposition in the form of Real who we comfortably beat 3-1. Round 6 put us up against another Second League side in the Aves and we played them whilst we wrre in good form in the league and easily beat them 3-0. So amazingly we had made the 2 legged Semi- Final and were up against Sporting, the first top flight team we faced in the competition. Unfortunately their better claseed show in both legs as we lost them both 2-0 to go out 4-0 on aggregate. Still im dleighted to have got so far in this competition. Fixtures League Cup After progressing to the second phase last season i was hopeful of doing so again. However after winning the opening match against Leixoes 3-2 we struggled in the next 2 games only picking up 1 point which saw us eliminated with 4 points. Group Table | Fixtures League - Second League We started the season off really poorly and i couldnt work out why to start with, then i found out the match engine had been updated, and it resulted in us losing the opening 3 league games of the season. A couple of draws followed but after 5 games we only had 2 points on the board. After a few tactical changes we started to play better and as a result we start to move back up the table, so much so that after match 13 we were in 5th place. Out form dropped off again as we faced some of the better teams in the league but we were soon back to winning ways. The second half of the season was brilliant as we were in fantastic form throughout and steadily climbed the table and were in the second promotion spot with 3 games left to play. Unfortunately we gave away winning positions in the next 2 games in the 90th minute to only take 2 points and despite winning the last league game we finished the season in 3rd place only 2 points from promotion. Table | Graph | Fixtures 1 | Fixtures 2Under 19's The Under 19's didnt win their group this year but they still did well as they finished second. Players Olivio - Sidned in the summer and after a shakey start settled into the 1st team and was fantastic in the second half of the season. Bruno Andrade - Played in the odd game but mainly stayed on the bench. Pedro Caipiro - Played at both left and right back and did what was needed throughout the season. Jorge Almeda - Played when others needed a rest and did well when called upon. Pedro Montenegro - 3rd choice right back who was called upon on a few occassions. Beto - Left back who had a good solid season Rodrigo Bessa - Was signed to be our first choice left back and whilst he played more than any other left back he did make a few mistakes and picked up a lot of yellow cards which reflects in his lower average rating. Augusto Castro - Third season in a row that Augusto has been fantastic and has now played over 100 games for the club. He has signed a contract extention. He also won Fans Player of the Year. Vitor Coentrao - Started the season as 3rd but became a regular start during the second half of the season as he was not only good defensively but also liked to score from corners alot hence his 6 goals. Fabio Sousa - Back up centre back who will be let go in the summer. Lansana Sagna - Started as first choice centre back but his performances werent as good as Coentrao's so he fetured less during the second half of the season. Joao Palhinha - Brought in at the start of the season as i felt the def mid was a position that definately needed improving and he did well throughtout the season. Pedro Tubeto - last years main def mid featured less this season and will be let go. Fabio Ferreira - Youngster who i gave him some game time towards the end of matches. Filipe Feixona - Played mainly as a backup and from the bench. Still had a good season and also passed 100 appearances for the club. Rui Borges - Signed in the summer, great potential and had a good season with 6 goals and 6 assists. Samu - Continued to be a first team player and had another solid season. Fernando - Started the season as a regular, contributing 14 assists but only 1 goal. Elano - Yes, the ex Man City player. Signed in January. Added a quality to our midfield that was lacking before and contributed 3 goals and 3 assists in 13 games. Pedro Vieira - Youngster who played from the bench on occasion. Ruben Caetano - Rarely played this season and will be retiring in the summer. Lewis Enoh - Stand out striker for the season as he top scored with 24 goals and also had 7 assists. Roberto - Has the potential to improve in the future but even so he did well this season bagging 18 goals. Kevin Amuneke - Backup striker who did well when called upon and finished the season with 10 goals. Vito Vieira - Backup striker who rarely played Joao Coelho - Backup striker who rarely played Jose Silva - Came from the youth system a few years ago. Continues to play in the U19's. Played on occassion for the first team and bagged a hat-trick in 1 game. Scored 5 goals in total this season. Awards Aususto Castro was for the seond year in a row selected in the Second League Team of the Year. Lewis Enoh finished the season as the 2nd Top League Goalscorer of the year with 23 league goals. I picked up 3rd palace in the Magaer of the Year award. We were also named the most improved club in the division. Next Season I want to build on the squad that i have and hopefully achieve promotion. Oh and we have just had our second takeover in 4 seasons. Taca De Portugal After defeating lower league opposition in the 2nd and 3rd rounds we were for the second season running knocked out in the 4th round by a top division side. This time it was Moreirense who were too good for us as they knocked us out 3-1. Fixtures League Cup This was the first time that we were entered into this competition. Some good performances against our fellow second league competitors saw us scrap through on 7 points by virtue of a better goal difference. In the second phase we drew Academica from the top division and over 2 legs they showed who was the better side as we were knocked out 8-2 on aggregate. Group Table | FixturesLeague - Portugal Second League With our target to avoid relegation I was worried after the first few games as we were conceeding goals for fun, 3 on average, and after 5 games we only had 4 points. A chance of goalkeepers as i brought Andrade back as my starting keeper and our form improved. After 15 games we were 5th in the league. Our form dipped again and we started to drop down the table but an improved run towards the end of the season saw us finish a respectable 12th in our first season in the Second League. Table | Graph | Fixtures 1 | Fixtures 2Under 19's The Under 19's had a much better season as they won their League Group. In the cup the Under 19's reached the 4th round before being knocked out by Boavista 5-3. Players Moreira - Was signed to be my number 1 goalkeeper. Was dropped after 5 league games after conceeding on average 3 goals a game. Very dissapointed and he will be let go in the summer. Bruno Andrade - Was supposed to be my backup keeper but once Moreira was dropped he played the majority of games and has a significantly better GAA. Jorge Almeda - First choice right back who had a very good season with 10 assists and 7.15 average rating. Pedro Montenegro - Second choice right back who did well when called upon. Beto - Main left back who is defensively solid. Hugo Cordeiro - Still at the club and used this season as a good backup to Beto. Sergio Pereira - Played in the odd game when required. Jose Louro - Spent most of the season in the U19's but did play in the cup. Sergio Canas - Wasn't as good last year which will be as a result of the step up in opposition in the second league. Augusto Castro - Despite the step up Augusto was even better than last season. 7 goals and 7.29 average rating saw him selected in the Second League Team of the Year. Vitor Coentrao - Was used as a backup at the start of the season but as the season wore on he played more and more in replacement to Canas and did well. Fabio Sousa - A massive dissappointment as Fabio was supposed to be a first choice centre back but was poor when played as he made many mistakes and shows in an Average Rating of 6.48. Pedro Tubeto - First choice def mid who played the majority of the season but was expecting a bit more. Artur Vaz - Continues to play many games as a backup in centre mid or towards the end of the season as our first choice def mid. Fabio Ferreira - Played in a few games mainly in the early cup games to give him experience. Ruben Caetano - Fantastic season for Ruben. Signed on a free he was excellent throughout the season with 14 goals and 11 assists with an average rating of 7.25. He was selected in the Second League Team of the Year. Filipe Feixona - A good season for Filipe with 7 goals and 13 assists. Samu - Good signing who has the potential to improve on his 7 goals and 8 assists in the future. Joaquim Ferreira - Youngster who continues to be on the border of the first team but plays mainly from the bench. David Santos - Played when needed but otherwise was left out most of the season. Pedro Vieira - Youngster who played in a couple of cup games at the start f the season. Kevin Amuneke - Signed as having the ability to be our top striker. However with 12 goals (getting on for 1 in 3 games) and 5 assists i was hoping for more. Vito Vieira - Very good season for Vito as he eneded the season as our top scorer with 18 goals. Marcio Mendonca - Improvement this season for Marcio as he bagged 10 goals. Joao Coelho - Backup striker who played mainly from the bench but even so he was still able to contribute with 8 goals. Jose Silva - Youngster who played in a few games but spent the majority of the season in the U19's. Awards Both Augusto Castro and Ruben Caetano were selected in the Second League Team of the Year. 10. Stuart Brawls, União Micaelense 2015-16, Season 2, Portugal National Championship F Squad | Finances | Transfers 1 | Transfers 2 | Reputation | Financial Ranking | Records | Fans Player of the Year Season Targets After the good form we showed in finishing 2nd in the relegation stage last year I was hopeful of a strong 2nd season. Then, once i had sorted out the wage budget, i found out that most of my players didn't want to sign a new contract so come the 1st July i was left with only a handful of players. This therefore meant that i spent quite some time scouting the available players and rebuilding the squad but i was still confident that we could do well with the team i had reassembled. Also towards the start of the season was a change at the top as a new chairman was appointed at the club but thankfully i managed to keep my job. Taca De Portugal Scrapped through against non-league oppoisition in the first 3 rounds, including a 6-3 after extra time win in round 3, before we were drawn against Premier League team Maritimo in round 4. We played really well in this game as we twice took the lead but were pegged back both times and ended 90 mins at 2-2. Unfortunately we didn't have the stamina to continue the performance in extra time and ended up going out 5-2. Fixtures League - National Championship F The first phase saw us continue our form from the end of last season as we quickly took control and didn't look like losing in any of the early games. We qualified for the Promotion Stage with a few games to spare. We were placed in Promotion Phase Group B and early on we were comfortably winning games with the only team able to keep up being Benfica B. One of the important games of this phase was our match away against Benfica B where we went 2-0 down but were able to turn the game around eventually winning it 3-2. In the second half of the Promotion phase we started to conceed more goals, especially from set pieces, and on several occassions we conceeded 2 goals but thankfully my forwards were abe to score more. The promotion placed went down to the final game and it was in our hands as we held a 1 point advantage over Benfica B. Both of us won our final games so we were able to celebrate promotion. The champions playoff saw us up against Varzim. A tight game with 50/50 possession and the same number of shots was settled in the 32nd minute when our 39 year old midfielder Paulo Adriano scored in what was to be his final match before retirement. Table | Graph | Promotion Table | Promotion Graph | Fixtures 1 | Fixtures 2Under 19's We received several candidates in this years batch that had 5 star potential in the national championship so i offered these players youth contracts. League season for the U19's was similar to last year as they finished 10th out of 12. U19's Squad Players Bruno Andrade - Last years backup goalkeeper was promoted to first choice this season and he did better than i expected only conceeding 35 in 32 league games with 9 clean sheets. Delcio - Backup keeper who i played in an early cup game and also when Andrade was injured briefly. Carlos Andre - Right back who was excellent throughout and provided 9 assists throughout the season. Joao Silveira - Spent the majority of the season on the bench but was solid when called upon. Hugo Cordeiro - Signed in January as a replacement for Vieira. Excellent defensivley but lacked the attacking threat that Vieira had provided in the 1st half of the season. Sergio Pereira - Started some of the early matches but was mainly used as a backup for this season. Sergio Canas - 1st choice centre back. Had a excellent season and even managed to score 9 goals throughout the season. Paulinho - Backup defender. Augusto Castro - Our best defender who was fantastic throughout the season with an average rating in the league of 7.56 plus he also got 5 goals. Vitor Coentrao - Backup centre back who was only used when needed. Jose Miguel Vieira - Became our first choice left back early on in the season and was fanatastic, especially with the attacking threat he gave us - 3 goals and 5 assists. Unfortunatly with his non-contract status we were unable to keep hold of him in January. Menina - Def Mid who played the majority of games earlier in the season but as the promotion stage was getting more important he was left out more ofren than not. Fabio Ferreira - Young def mid backup Artur Vaz - Had an excellent season. Started in a centre midfield position but towards the end of the season he was pushed back in the def mid position in place of Menina. David Santos - Came in to the position of centre midfield when Vaz was moved to def mid and did well. Filipe Feixona - The best player of the season. He not only scored 10 goals but also contributed 24 assists and an average league rating of 7.68. The fans also agreed as he won the Fans player of the year. Paulo Adriano - At 39 years of age and in his final season Paulo had a brilliant season and was our second best player of the year. 13 goals and 14 assists with a league average rating of 7.45. Joaquim Ferreira - Used mainly as a substitute but does have the ability to improve. Joao Coelho - Youngster i signed in january, played in a couple of games and managed 3 goals. Marcio Mendonca - Technically he should be our best striker but he just doesn't take his chances when i play him. Quim - Our 1st choice 34 year old striker. Finished the season as top goalscorer with 21 goals and also provided 11 assists. Nelson Faria - Originally brought in through desperation as i was struggling to attract any quality forward players. He is naturally more a left winger but i played him behind Quim for the majority of the season and he did excellent at the beginning of the season. Tailed off towards the end but still contributed 16 goals. Jose Silva - Was part of last years youth intake. Has a 5 star potential but doesn't yet get rated as even a 1 star ability. Even so he scored several in pre-season so i gave him a chance when the season began and he didn't disappoint. Much better performances than Mendonca and ended the season with 10 goals, fantastic for a 16/17 year old! Next Season Hopefully there will be a greater pool of players that i can attract to the club so that i can avoid relegation and build a solid foundation for future seasons. Though we did receive some bad news in that the facilities rating system was updated which resulted in our facilities being downgraded The 100 Club (All Competitions) União Micaelense History

Fixtures League - National Championship F[/left] After a win in our opening match we then struggled to pick up any points at all, going on runs of 4 and 5 matches with out a win, as i tried to settle on my main players and tactics. Towards the end of the end of the first phase though our form picked up and we moved up the table a couple of positions finishing this part of the season in 7th place. Based on the upturn in form i was confident of surviving the relegation phase. This turned out to be the case as we won the majority of our matches but the 1 team we struggled against, Fatima, beat us in both games and as a result of finishing on the same points we lost out on 1st based on results between teams. Rui Melo - At the club from the start and still on an amateur contract. Fantastic season with 4 goals and 6 MOM. Helder Duarte - Rated as my best DC. Decent season but prone to the odd bad game which is shown in the lower average rating. Ricardo Tavares - Youngster who played in the Under 19's but was used on several occassions for the first team and did well. Look forward to seeing him improve in the coming seasons. Ariston Ramalho - Solid season for our main Def Mid. Menina - Backup def mid. Diogo Avila - Excellent season with 9 goals and 7 assists. Need to make sure that i keep hold of him. Emerson Carioca - Fanatsic season from the 36 year old Brazilian. 7 goals and the number 1 in assists with 17. Can he keep going next year? Carlos Mota - Deadline Day signing, was expecting more as the highest wage earner in the squad. Nuno Sabugueiro - Started the season as a first choice starter but was left of the starting 11 as the season wore on. David Santos - Youngster who i played in a few games towards the end of the season. Evandro Marreta - Our top scorer with 24 goals. Came alive in the second half of the season. Rafael Couto - Signed in January, played in both midfield and up front. Took 10 games to get on the score sheet but managed 4 goals and 6 assists. Artur Veredas - Summed up our struggles at the start of the season as he only scored once during the first phase. finished with 4 goals. Marcio Mendonca - Youngster who got the occasional opportunity to play and scored twice. Awards Next Season With the upturn in form and the final finishing position in the relegation stage i'm hopeful of a stronger season to come. 12. União Micaelense Manager Overview ¦ Manager Information Club Profile ¦ Club Information ¦ Club League History ¦ Squad List I have decided to return to this challenge and have chosen Portugal as my destination this time, though i have travelled further afield than the mainland and have chosen a club in the Azores. U. Micaelense was founded in 1911 and they currently play their home matches at the Campo Municipal Jâcome Correia in Ponta Delgada. The stadium is able to accommodate 1,500 spectators. The database has a grand total of 88,000 players however the Azores doesn't appear to be a destination of choice as there are only 120 players that are interested in joining the club.
  13. Stuart Brawls, Vendee Lucon, 2023-2024, Season 1 Squad ¦ Transfers 1 ¦ Transfer 2 ¦ Finances ¦ Income Overview Just going to give a quick update as to my first season at Vendee Lucon. It has taken me a while to get into the challenge with this team after the highly enjoyable time i had with Seregno and this has meant it has taken quite a long time to do this first season. It was a struggle to begin with to find players in general let alone those with enough quality to do well in this league presumably due to our extremely poor reputation. Eventually we got a team together and further improved the squad throughout the season. League - French National Division Table ¦ Graph ¦ Fixtures 1 ¦ Fixtures 2 After an excellent first game, which we won 3-0, we topped the table but then our goal scoring struggles began as we didn't score many and therefore we slipped steadily down the table. At least we didn't concede many and that meant that we were able to continue to pick up points. At the end of October our top goalscorers wereHermann and Salku, our Centre-Backs!!. It was at this time that i picked up a new striker in Giuseppe Panico on a free. He not only scored regularly enough his play also enabled a good partnership with Amadio who suddenly started scoring after looking rubbish at the start of the season. This resulted in an improvement in form and our rise in the league table which would eventually see us finish the season in 6th place. In the end i was very happy with how this first season with Vendee Lucon progressed. French Cup Fixtures We progressed the 6th, 7th and 8th rounds of the French cup by beating non league and lower division CFA teams to reach the 9th round. This is the round were the big teams enter the competition and we drew none other than PSG at their stadium as well to guarantee a very nice pay day. We played exceptionally well and were only beaten by a goal just before half time.v I therefore couldnt be happier as to how my first go at the French Cup went. Players Just going to list those players that started at least 10 games and were therefore the most important players for this season. Klaus Fabacher - Signed in December as a replacement for Sommer who had been injured. He did a decent job but on average conceded more than Sommer. Kevin Sommer - Had an excellent start to the season and had a good goals against ratio. Unfortunately a Knee Tendinitis in December ended his season prematurely as it put him out for 6 months. Raymond Schuitert - Our right back who is only 17 and had a very good first season. He has the potential to be a good League 2 right back. Jurgen Hermann - Excellent German Centre back who had a great first season with the added bonus of 5 goals. He also has the potential to be a good league 2 player. Redi Salku - Another excellent German centre back that i picked up on a free at the start of the season. He got 6 goals and amazingly he is now rated as having the potential to be a decent league 1 player. Maximilien Lavie - 19 year old Belgian youngster who can play as DC, DMC or MC. Used in all 3 positions throughout the season and has good potential. Arjen Van De Kraan - Started the season as our 1st choice left back but i managed to find a better option in January. Rabah Abdeslam - Signed on a free in January he became my first choice left back. Has good attributes and very good potential. Dieter Kleinheider - 20 year old midfielder who play in the majority of matches but was half expecting him to contribute a little bit more. Has the potential to improve significantly in the future. Madjid Soltani - Proved to be our most valuable midfielder as he bagged 8 goals but even more importantly he got 16 assists. Soufiene Garbaa - Used both as a DMC and MC. He added experience to the side and had a good season as well. Mohamed Lamine Dahmane - Decent youngster who filled in as DMC or MC as required. Plenty of potential. Luis Amadio - Stuggled at the start of the season with roughly 2 goals in his first 13 games. Once partnered with Panico he improved massively as he went on to finish the season as top goalscorer with 16 goals. Giuseppe Panico - His signing at the end of October we crucial in the improved performance of the team for the rest of the season. He brought in 12 goals and 9 assists. Future I will be looking at further improvements to the squad over the summer and hope that with a better start to the season Promotion to League 2 would be a distinct possibility.
  14. Vendee Lucon, Start of game 2 - 2023 After finishing the challenge with Seregno in Italy I have added the French league to the Italian Leagues in my game as well as retiring my manager from the game and have holidayed through a season. So i will introduce Stuart Brawls (Profile, Information) as the new manager of Vendee Lucon (Overview) in their first ever season in the National division. The clubs reputation in the National division is 20th and last though financially we are slightly better as we are 17th. Hopefully what i have done above is ok and will keep you informed as to how i get on in France.
  15. PRDH - I know Carbonara is a name just waiting to have the mickey taken out of it. Club World Championship Semi Final - Up against Al-Ahli of Saudi Arabia. We played very well and took an early lead after 10 mins with a goal from our 35m striker Lima who powered in a header from a Daniel cross. A second followed after 29 mins when Huber scored after a fine run through the defence before slotting it past their keeper. The match then became more difficult as our centre back Leonardo was sent off after a poor challenge just before half time. Despite being down to 10 men we extended our lead during injury time in the 1st half as Daniel played a long ball forward which put Hiuber clean through on goal and he scored a powerful effort past their keeper. The second half saw us create many more chances but there was no further goals and we finished as 3-0 victors to progress to the final. Final - Up against Palmeiras of Brazil I was expecting this to be a tough encounter and was therefore delighted when Samir Colic run straight through the Plameiras defence before having his shot saved before he pounced on the rebound to put us 1-0 in the very 1st minute. In the 14th minute Daniel layed the ball off to our fantastically named midfielder Carbonara who thundered a shot in off the post from 25 yards our putting us 2-0 up. Like in the semi-final we then got a third in the seconf minute of injury time at the end of the first half when a pass from Carbonara was fired into the net from the edge of the area by Samir Colic. We continued to press in the second half and our lead was extended to 4-0 with an own goal. Huber then got his 3rd goal of the tournament with a well placed shot to put us 5-0 up. Just to rub salt into Palmeiras' wounds substitute Causevic floated in a free kick in the 90th minute which defender Vasile Talpa got on the end of. We therefore won the Club World Championship with a convincing 6-0 win. Tournament Player Stats
