Is the Transfer Deadline Day "thing" still a "thing"? Managing in 3. Liga in Germany and I wasn't invited to join the circus; deadline day just came and went.

Probably a bug and worth reporting as such, but for the short term there's an option in Preferences to change to plain colours:

That was in last year, been on the end a whooping myself a few times
In which case I was better at FM21 than I thought, as I thought it was new this year!

Nice touch. Just don't look at the result.
I said don't look!

That's a bit odd, I spent around 30mins just checking out Player Profiles and same thing happened only for Ronaldo (didn't think much of it at the time).
Maybe it's something to do with loading his enormous ego?

New Biffy Clyro will be on Spotify at midnight and I'll get to mess around with Rotherham United on the beta to see if anything needs tweaking.
This is a good day

I have 7 more pages to write on a law article covering UEFA and FFP and it is due on Sunday early evening; should I just give up on that today?
Set your font size to 30, that should help speed things up.

No idea what that means! Although it appears to be something related to Bournemouth so I'm guessing the first 3 letters is "Up the Cherries"
If we can bring a truce, however temporary, amongst all the South Coast clubs, SI will drop the Beta. Or something.

I'm with you on this.
Opposite ends of the M27 unite lol!
I can find areas of agreement with most people, even those from "down the road"!

I have to say, every year without fail, my attitude to the Beta is:
pre order date: "That'll be cool, getting the beta access."
month before release date: "Hmm so the beta should be out on [date], interesting..."
three weeks before release date: some form of mass hysteria reaches me, and from that point I spend each day constantly refreshing that year's "When's the BETA out" thread.7 -

The original expression, as Miles well knows, is "here today, gone tomorrow."
So, to keep to the structure of that expression, he's telling us that more is coming "...when [...] the beta is released" - in other words, tomorrow.

I had this issue, looked for ages, found it in bottom left corner - not sure if thats intended but thats where i found it
So it is, thank you. That's a very unintuitive place to put it

Lee Evans everybody, back out of retirement.
Not even that funny. More like baldy right-wing bell-end Lee Hurst.

Northampton are pretty bad, go for them. Portsmouth will be too easy
Try telling Kenny Jackett that.
(Although we've been on a decent run recently).

But Still, Gaffer Miles said it won't be available for download "during working-hours" because of this. No hope here for a daytime-release.
Sure, and I'm not disputing he said it - or for that matter that he most likely knows better than I do (although I do work in IT industry).
Just that I don't immediately understand the potential for it to impact significantly on bandwidth.0 -

So, I've seen a lot of talk here about bandwidth usage with release and that the national health organisation needs all the bandwidth? Can anyone explain this to me? I don't get it... There should be enough internet for everyone right?
Doesn't make a lot of sense to me. From a UK perspective, where we have a lockdown in place, when you think about the amount of streaming, Zooming and gaming that's going on, not to mention release of new AC game today which will be a significantly larger download, I can't see FM downloads being more than a drop in the ocean of the available/used bandwidth.

FM20 full fat for me. You know, I've never been back to an old version, even though they sit staring at me in my Steam library.
Maybe I should do that some time.

This is really doing my head in. I'm trying to sell players but first of all the head of youth development rejected the transfer on behalf of management due to the low fee. After I sacked the head of youth development and then tried to sell the player again, the assistant manager rejected the transfer on behalf of management. Would the assistant really overrule a managers decision to sell a player. Is there any way around this and has anybody else had the same problems selling players. Thanks.
Sounds like you have responsibilities set up to give these guys the power to do this. The board can always veto transfers but any other staff should only do this if you've delegated the authority?

If you have a save game before he gets hired then please post this as a bug in the Transfers & Contracts area. Cheers.

26th May 2023 - Struggling Troyes hire Unai Emery with two games to go.
3rd June 2023 - Relegated Troyes sack Unai Emery after losing those two games.
Additional fun fact - they were relegated by seven points, meaning he wasn't even responsible for the relegation.
