  1. It surely is not something alarming , but is somewhat frustrating watching your world class center-back , first team regular ,of professional personality + 20 determination , with superb morale and 7.50+ rating having a ton of orange arrows out of the blue . There are 24 of his stats with a decline arrow (!) lol

Don't forget that (I assume it's the same) the arrows show a decline in attributes on a 0-100 scale but the attribute list is only 1-20. So 24 down arrows might mean that there are 24 attributes who have all lost 0.1-0.9th of an attribute stat which all goes into add 1 attribute stat somewhere else.

  2. What's your normal width setting? And the wide play for your DL/DR and AML/AMR? What was your possession in that shot?

It's maybe something to do with both being on a stopper duty, normally you'd go Def/Def or Stopper/Cover. See if Def/Def closes the gap. Probably more to do with something else (related to my earlier questions) though.

He's on Stopper/Stopper? I must have missed that.

  3. okay I'll try,

what about the central defenders the gap between them also exploited by a through ball or a pacey striker all the time but this is 21st game of the league only conceded 4 :) but it is disturbing me a lot.

You want the central defence to have some type of split unless you're playing with an offside trap otherwise once an attacker beats the first man, he's also beaten the second. I wouldn't worry about it too much since it isn't costing you goals.

  4. i have a fm12 question,i'm in september first season(taking a break from my fm11 save)and i cant seem to ask players to train prefered moves?Am i looking in the right place(player chat)?Or has it been moved somewhere else?Or is this function only available at certain times of the season?

In fm11 in the private chat you could always see the prefered move function but it would be greyed out sometimes.

An interesting thing between the two versions is that 11 has you asking the player to learn a new PPM while in 12 you're asking one of your coaches to teach him. This means your players don't have a chance at refusing to learn/unlearn PPMs.

Right click on player > Interaction > Start Preferred Move Training > Pick your coach and then pick your PPM.

  5. So I'm okay doing things the way I am and them breaking my "rule" for one of those special players that ticks every box and that I absolutely need to complete my team?

It's kinda terrible when I'm looking through players interested in me and if I take the big names with 10-13 determination that I won't touch out of the equation I'm not left with much outside of all the U-21s.

  6. I would say that tactically if you're using Inside Forwards out wide then you might be able to get away with a slow striker since the wide players will be looking to get the goals. If the wide players are your providers then you need someone fast enough to keep up with the counter attack when the team breaks.

Personally I don't mind a slow Trequartista. The TQ flutters around and generally does their job once they get the ball so technique and mental attributes would be the most important thing. An attacking mid/inside forward or APM on the other hand will be more involved in your team's general play. If you don't mind someone going missing then a TQ works, if you want that extra involvement then the APM might be your better option. But both of these answers are just my own personal ideas.

  7. I don't think it does. Did anything else happen that might of dropped his determination? (tutoring, can't think of anything else, maybe contract talks? lack of discipline? clutching here, det change without tutoring is rare)

Nothing. I bought Chadli (22) at the beginning of the season and he got a 4 month injury. He comes back into light training and his determination has dropped from 15 to 14. No tutoring, contract talks or even private chats whilst he was injured.
