  1. There are definitely certain young players that attract bids of three times or more of their value, but I feel that usually the AI tends to max out at around twice to two and half of player value. When you get used to the game, I think it's reasonably easy to accurately predict how much other clubs are willing to pay for a player, considering age, CA, PA, avg rating etc. But I do agree that there is some issue with overshooting the amount offered out and getting a lower than maximum bid. In theory, if you offer out a player for 40m but you correctly predicted him to be worth 20m, you should get more or less around 20m bids. But they somehow only offer 10m or less. But if you offer him out for 20-25m, the bids tend to match that price. I've established the above loose pattern as my opinion of the system after many occasions of reloading to see if I could get higher bids for players. It was actually quite surprising to learn that my initial prediction of the max bid for a player tended to be quite accurate.
  2. Green Man Gaming has 23% off voucher on their website. Seems like it will expire fairly soon. Bought a copy today.
  3. First of all, I just want to say I have no concrete evidence to prove what I am talking about here. But I just feel that there is some correlation between the game starting back up and the team performance, especially in the league matches. I could be on a really bad losing streak but if I either reload a few matches back or just save and come back to it again, the team seems to start winning easily, and also vice versa. Sometimes I get afraid to quit the game when I am on a good run because when I start it back up there could be this strange feeling of a 'bad load' where the team seems to be under some kind of a curse. This might be more true for mid/low table teams than the top teams. Anyone else experienced this kind of phenomenon?
  4. We all know the obvious stats are physio rating for physios and judging CA/PA for scouts. The whole point of the thread is whether any of the other stats have any real effect on their performance as staff. It could be immersion breaking if you're constantly wondering how much actual effect the other stats have on the game.
  5. I don't mind a bit of ambiguity to make things interesting. But it seems to me that ambiguity is there to cover for lack of actual substance. i.e. the secondary attributes probably don't make any difference to the physio/scout quality.
  6. It is a bit stupid that the contract demands are influenced by the wage budget sliders. The player/agent may have some idea about the club's financial status, but they are not supposed to know how much of it is allocated to transfer fees and wages. And also from my experience the transfer/contracts definitely favours the AI. Needs to be fixed.
  7. If that is the case, the scout would have reported that 'the player is not interested in joining' or 'the player is somewhat interested'. But it was 'no intention of joining', which means not even considering any offers. Is anyone able to confirm this at all?
  8. I am not sure if this has been raised before. I scouted a certain unhappy transfer listed Chelsea keeper as Swansea and got back a report saying he would have no intention of joining our club at this time. I did this multiple times with different scouts, with all same reports. I decided to bid for him anyway, then to my surprise the agent was willing to negotiate the contract. But the "player interest in role" to the right of the contract negotiation screen showed 'none' even with key player. But then a couple of days later the player was happy to agree with the move. Is this a bug or are the scout reports inaccurate intentionally? I have never really seen this in previous FMs, as usually 'no intention of joining' meant no interest in even negotiating. If it is working as intended for the reports to be somewhat inaccurate, then shouldn't different scouts be coming up with at least slightly different reports?
  9. If I had to choose one or the other, I'd prefer players more willing to leave than never wanting to leave.
  10. I don't mind the yearly update if the ME was only updated every 2 years. Every time the ME changes, it feels like a whole different game.
  11. Happened very often over the past few series. When you win your first leg surprisingly comfortably, you'd better be prepared to get hammered in the second leg. And sometimes there's not much you can do to stop this from happening.
  12. But then if you think about it, it is an estimate already. 4 Stars would be somewhere between 3.5 and 4.5. That is 15-17 in the 1-20 scale.
  13. All of the hidden ones can be affected. Main important ones are Professionalism and Ambition I guess. Consistency and Important match seem to be not affected. For the visible ones, I have not seen any other than Determination. But I think all attributes in general tend to increase faster when you get a good tutor.
  14. I believe nothing has changed for ME since 12.2.1
