1 "What we've got here is a failure to communicate"
  1. Dear Moondog777, USG have the best average finishing position in the last 3 years of the Pro League classic phase, lost the playoffs narrowly twice and will be in a third time with the most points, and by the time the update for winter would have been required (close of the transfer window) were 11 points ahead at the top of the league. Presented with those facts, I would imagine even the most casual of football fans would conclude their team was the best at the current time, and had been consistently in the top 1-2 for a long period. None of this is reflected in the game - the fact you say players were updated already to me seems to prove Union have been nerfed on purpose. How can it be justified to make them so bad in comparison to other top sides in Belgium? It doesn't reflect reality, especially for a game that prides itself in its scouting research. It would be like ranking Liverpool's team as no better than West Ham in the PL!!!! Your mobile game ranks USG as a bottom half team so West Ham might be generous!!! As for reputation, the database does not have a stat for potential, so I am not sure what criteria you are using. But to consider the reputation equal with someone like Cercle, when you look at things that affect how the game dynamics work, you find that Brugge is ranked as a more affluent area, Cercle fans more affulent, area attraction is huge (18 compared to 4), training facilities/corporate facilities etc is all higher for Cercle. So really, Cercle have an inbuilt advantage in things like attracting players, fans, ticket pricing.... all of this makes them a potentially better team to manage for me, and USG disadvantaged considerably. Again though, I ask ..... how is it in anyway objectively justifiable to consider Cercle Brugge a more reputable club than USG at this moment? You don't change the reputation score after one year?? This seems again very strange, I'd have imaged playing in the Europa League and beating a Bundasliga team would be the exact thing that people notice in World Football and increases rep.... after all, as I said, every single major football media outlet from Italy to Argentina wrote about USGs fairytale rise.... it was a headline on the BBCs sports page one day, which is the biggest global newsoutlet in the world. Gazetto, La Marca, BBC... all the famous publications have printed about Union's rise. To say that Cercle Brugge are as famous, known or the same reputation in global football at this time is quite mad. Have Cercle ever had the same global profile as USG have now? They haven't played in Europe since the 1970s, their only time they qualified, and were knocked out after one tie. They haven't finished in the top 3 of the Pro League since the start of the 1930s.... Union have done more in the last 3 years than Brugge have achieved in nearly 100.... In fact, I can leave you with the words of Jurgen Klopp this season.... "Union a small team? Come on".... I guess that the opinion of the world's most respected football manager wont matter though. Maybe he said the same about Cercle at some point...
  2. It's a little bit embarrassing that USG lead the Belgian league currently by 8 points, and only lost the league last year to a 89th minute goal, yet they are absolutely rubbish on this game for the 2nd year running. Has the team responsible for compiling data seen Belgian football in the last 3 seasons? Why are they consistently downgraded? Its not hard to see its not an accident either. Just looking at some data that translates to success in the game, it doesnt make sense. Cercle Brugge and Union SG have the same "reputation score".... maybe you can remind me the last season Cercle Brugge beat Liverpool in a European Competition? Or drew away to Leverkusen, who are currently 5 points clear in Germany a few months later? You really telling me the worldwide status of Cercle Brugge can compare? Because I can point to BBC, La Marca, World Soccer Magazine.... there was literally articles in Argentina about USG's first season in the Pro League, it made world football news everywhere.... but yeah, I guess Brugge are equally known. Even the "city" attraction score that affects how players want to come to your team.... 4/20 for "Vorst". This is lower than Molenbeek and Anderlecht. I think you should check house prices guys, because this is ridiculous. Charleroi is 10 out of 20! Even Seraing beats Vorst... have you ever even been to Belgium? Also while I am at it, having lived in Forest for a long time, no one speaks Dutch. I have no idea why Anderlecht and Forest are listed as Dutch speaking areas. And then we get to the teams. Checking the database, when we list how many players are over 120 Current ability.... Gent - 17 Anderlecht - 13 Genk - 16 Antwerp - 9 Brugge - 14 Standard - 7 Union 7 ..... Real life...... Union smash everyone apart. FM reality..... Union are no better than 11th placed Standard... who have 31 points less than them. The biggest joke is Cameron Puertas with a CA of 116. This makes him probably 100th best player in Belgium on the game.... he just won runner up in the League awards for 2023, and was named in World Soccer Magazines article about best players in Belgium. Sort it out, its embarrassing.
