Starting a play through in the Canadian Premier League at the start of the 2023 season has substitution rules of "3 subs can be used from a maximum of 7 named". In reality, the league ran with 5 substitutes in 2022 and 2023 (sample 2023 game where Forge FC made 5 subs and Cavalry FC made 4). Nothing has been announced since the end of the 2023 season indicating a change to move away from the 5 substitute rule.
