Hi fellow FM editor fanatics! I am trying to set up an altered norwegian league system with the season playing at the same time as the top leagues in europe, and lower divisions added.
I've gotten pretty far in setting it up, with many errors and issues resolved along the way, but I am completely stuck on the latest one. The error is:
12:21: Error in nation rules
12:21: ERROR: 20/5/2023: New stage 1 for Eliteserien can't find enough teams to be created. 1 teams found, 2 needed
Stage 1 for Eliteserien is a relegation playoff. I've played around with it so I know that the Eliteserien team get added, but it's not able to get the team from the promotion playoff in the league below (OBOS).
I can verify OBOS just fine with no errors, so I'm not understanding where the issue lies.
Some of my theories:
Something with the promotion/relegation system(s) -could very well be something down the leagues considering the error is in 2023
Some of the dates I've added don't match up to finish in time for the Eliteserien relegation playoff
Matches get moved so the promotion playoff in OBOS is moved until after the relegation playoff in Eliteserien
If anyone could please take a look and give me some pointers I'd really appreciate it!
*Quick disclaimer; this is my first FM game I've owned myself, before I only played at friends house, and so my knowledge heading into this was very limited.
Also don't pay too much attention to the NM Cup and such, I've not gotten to sort that out yet. It throws a bunch of errors into my 'comp errors.txt' file.

Yeah that was one thing I missed earlier, but it does seem correct now, no? Also I tried the "test competitions" function, and in there in the first year it's set up the promotion playoff in OBOS, but the semi final match was never played, and so the final was never set up, so there is no team with fate set to qualify for Eliteserien playoff. Which honestly just confused me more, because again when I go to verify just OBOS I don't get an error.
