  1. Hello Miles Jacobsen and Hello Sega and Sports Interactive, I have been silent so far and bought and played the FM every year. Now that a revolution is expected, I thought it was the time to bring in my experience. I've been playing the FM since 2015 and have between 1500 and 3000 hours of play every year, meaning they got me hooked. ;-) Unfortunately, my English is too bad to have more influence and hope the text is understandable because Google Translate created it. I'm really looking forward to the FM24 and especially FM25, but please do us all a favor, don't let this manager become an EA manager. With crashes and broken databases and a game that is not playable please, please, please. The EA has cost me at least 20 years of life and hope that the main game is not broken now. That's why I would like to make my suggestions, which of them can be implemented, you have to see, but I know that we are very demanding, because everyone would like to run a club. Personal Improvements 1. At the start of the game, the coach should be able to draft his own staff of max. 3 people: e.g. an assistant coach, an athletics coach and a goalkeeper coach or 2 assistant coaches. This must then be taken over by the receiving association. Every head coach can also reassemble his staff during the season or after a season, e.g. if you want to upgrade him for higher tasks or if an assistant coach is tired of his head coach or needs a Sabbaht year after a strenuous season.A co-coach or assistant coach can therefore terminate his cooperation with the head coach at any time by simply having a small conversation like with players. Today it is also the case that many coaches bring a few trusted employees with them and you are committed together. For example, Carlo Ancelotti always brings his son Davide Ancelotti with him or Pep Guardiola brought Lorenzo Buenaventura and Carles Planchart to City from Bayern. 2. Automatically return from vacation if your club or another club offers you a new contract. 3. At the beginning of the game, you should also be able to specify your general favorite formation, your favorite formation defensive and favorite formation offensive, why do I mention in point 4. 4. You should be able to bring your own philosophy to the interview or a club that has the goal of playing "defensively solid football" should not want to sign Pep Guardiola. The club should pay attention to which favorite formations a coach has and how to let them play, that should be decided which club hires which coach. A club can also switch from defensive football to offensive football when dismissing its head coach, but depending on how the club wants to play, the right coach should be hired. Character should also be noted: initial attitude, youth promoter, discipline fanatic, football professor, motivator, etc. 5. Invitations to talk shows (e.g. press conferences) Where you can enter your sentence yourself 6. Background of the press conference with trainer on the podium so that you can also use this Scrennschot for social media. 7. If you are a national coach, all points should be taken into account as with a club coach in terms of playing philosophy, character of the coach, formations and staff. Furthermore, you should be able to name the rest of the staff and lead the training and not just have the national pool. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Tactical improvements General: 1. Make sure that defensive tactics work much better and are given a much higher priority. A form of play like that of Diego Simeone is not feasible and please give up overpowering the offensive tactics. Because in reality, the offense wins the game, but the defense wins championships. Therefore, the defensive should be much more important. 2. The weighting of the player's role and how it is played should be much more important than the formation used. In reality, many teams play 5-6 different formations in one game, i.e. in 90min. Without changing much in the way the game is played. See Atletico de Madrid where Simeone plays a 442,433,4141, 352 in a game or Pep Guardiola does the same. A 442 is a 442 no matter in which arrangement, but the type and style of play should be more important. That's why the individual roles and the general team tactics should be much, much, much more important, because that's the philosophy of the game. 3. The weighting of the role of the "vertical playmaker" should become much more valuable, but should continue to be able to be held by as few players as before. This should also be reflected much more in the player's market, this player should be significantly more expensive than all other central midfielders. It should be a gamechanger who owns such a player or breeds him in his youth, because you won't find a Pirlo, Fabregas, Redondo, Guti on every corner. Individual: 1. Fewer restrictions for each player role - we should be able to customize each role as we see fit (change the existing roles so that players behave the way we want or how they should) 2. It would be nice if you could give the playmaker or the "vertical playmaker" the individual instruction: Pull or tear the game to you, ensure a greater shift in play by changing crosses, play more the "deadly pass" the sugar pass :-) Team instructions: 1. I think the team instructions are all okay so far, but I would complement them, e.g. in the passing game I miss the passing styles "One Touch" "Double Pass" and the passing style should also be much more game-defining. 2. When building up the game, I miss the function "tries to change flanks" 3. In the transition game, I would like to see the function "Let the opponent run", this is useful if you have a lead that you don't want to give up and just try to stay in possession of the ball as much as possible or if the opponent is outnumbered to make him weary and tired, just let the opponent run and make the game wide, all this comes into its own too little. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Transfers & Finance & Contracts 1. More clauses, etc., when negotiating a contract with a club (for the manager). Extension if both parties agree/win the league, etc., release clause if a big club is after you. The more conditions the club places on a coach, the coach should also be able to demand a significantly higher salary. 2. More realism when a player decides to join a new club (plan for him and playing time should be more important, not just reputation) 3. Why can, for example, we not make an offer to a Syrian 17th year old player without a contract and conclude a preliminary contract with the player, but often it is the case that AI clubs can do that or, for example, PSG makes this player an offer at the age of 18 and you have no chance to get into negotiations, that's unfair. 4. As a standard Liège, I have seen it too often that Brazilian, Argentine talents keep telling me "they don't think it's the right move to Belgium". Belgium is a perfect training league with Standard Liège, a top club, my facilities are all developed to the maximum and yet you don't stand a chance. 5. It's a typical situation where players or agents ask for a contract extension in the middle of the season, but you can't always make the player an offer to negotiate with him at the end of the season.Often the budgets are exhausted in the middle of the season and you don't have the opportunity to pay 1-2 million € more salary because it is not selectable in the contract negotiation. (It's capped) In addition, I would like to have the option to give the player a new contract, but then only make the salary adjustment effective with the new season. 6. I also think it's important that players, if you ask for a raise, that you can tell them that their performance is not sufficient and you have to improve first to demand more salary or if this happens after a bad game, you can tell him that the game and training performance has to be right first. 7. In general, I think there should be a lot more ways to communicate with the player. For example, that you can also tell him that he has to behave more professionally, that he has to eat more professionally, etc. The requirement to behave more professionally should have an effect on the attributes of determination, enthusiasm and personality. The requirement to eat more professionally should have an impact on the attributes of basic fitness, flexibility, balance and personality. 8. Generally more realistic transfer market, it's annoying when I've set my loan players that my player will only be loaned out to a club that has at least good training facilities and a good youth facility and gff. Minimum. 30, 40 or 50% salary coverage you get the same offers from one and the other clubs over and over again week after week and then the requirements are not even close to being met, from time to time you even try to build in ridiculous purchase options even though the player is not to be sold but only to be loaned. It's just annoying and very time-consuming to check these offers again and again and find out that it's ridiculous. 9. When selling a player it is also the same, in transfer negotiations if I state that I want to have at least 4 million € for the player x, they still offer 125,000 €. Instead of making a realistic offer or making it gff. to let. Conversely, for players with a market value of €4 million, the AI also charges €20 million. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- AI & Matchengine and 3D 1. More AI diversity in the formations and roles used 2. Better AI game management – such as making changes to counter a certain type of threat from the other team 3. Better AI squad building (maybe they should strive to maintain an average squad age in the range of 22-29 or so, they rarely let older players leave at the right time) 4. Experience should be much more important (I usually win the league with a bunch of kids, not very realistic in most cases) 5. There are also too few leading players and they don't have the strength you deserve. 6. More match cancellations (e.g. due to storms, floods, heat waves and violence in cities) 7. Putting your hands on the 3D graphics, players with a high flair attribute should also try and offer a lot more tricks and show and give the attribute the actual meaning, which in turn would dramatically increase the variety you see in the game. 8. There is the player property "Player cheers on the audience", this I have never experienced that a player does this and happens far too rarely. 9. Stadium construction I would like to have much more influence in the stadium construction and that you can then choose between an oval or square stadium and there are real 3D blocks to choose from so that you can assemble a beautiful stadium. In modular format. 10. Please get rid of the annoying fringing noises, if you can't install reasonable sounds there, such as smoking by the fans in LaLiga in the case of a very dangerous scoring chance, then please provide a tool where we can add goal anthems, club songs and fan chants (also online) – individually via file. 11. An easy-to-use utility to export highlights would allow us to easily export the selected highlights to HQ for uploading to social media (e.g. YouTube) – which is also one of the fun parts of the game. Please bring back the recording of goal scenes and goals where you can simply cut out goals at the top and use them for social media. 12. Interruptions in play (storming the pitch, pyro punishment for rioting) can lead to a revolt against the coach so that he has to be dismissed or if it is directed against the club management a new club management is installed or against a player who should then be sold. e.g. should a player move from Real Madrid to Barcelona or vice versa, he should not fare any easier than, for example, a Luis Figo back then. This player must be aware that he can only stay if he performs or has to be sold. 13. The individual mistakes of the goalkeepers are particularly common in FM23 and occur far too much, especially since these are very bad and ugly mistakes and look more like a bug that has not been lifted to me. It's never been nearly as bad as it was in FM23. 14. Loading times are significantly better than they were a few years ago, but still not fast enough. It still takes too long until a week is over, even the constant clicking is annoying, maybe you can include a daily calculation, so that you get all the messages at the end of the day and work it off as a manager and then click on or even a weekly calculation. Except for Deadline Day, it can stay that way. 15.This gives us the opportunity to choose the home and away team jerseys before the match. It's been used for years, but this game just made me throw my mouse. Both teams in almost full red. I mean, why? --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Data Center & Scouting 1. Currently, there is no point in trying to achieve realism by scouting or selecting your team based on performance statistics, as the game wipes them out at the end of each season. As a result, your sample size is so small that you'll fly completely blind, except for a brief period towards the end of each season, so you might as well ignore it completely and just stick with attributes and star ratings, none of which exist in real life. If this data remained accessible for at least 2 or 3 years, the user could take a massive step forward by referring to and processing performance data. Perhaps an option to export player stats to Excel/Google sheets at the end of each season would be a good place to start. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Training & Development 1. If, for example, a striker has a 12 in the "goal shot" as an attribute and I want to bring him to 15, the player, but also me as a manager, should be made to understand better how and what happens there. Because if you train it specifically, at some point you just get the hint that this attribute is no longer a weakness, but is still at 12? I am aware that if you are a slow player, you will probably never reach a value like 16,17,18 and higher, but maybe the value should then increase by 1 or 2 points and then the hint should come that no big or no further increase in performance is to be expected there. This should be the same with all other attributes. 2. With additional focus, i.e. individual training, I would like to be able to choose whether you want to train a single attribute or a combination. Therefore, you should be able to select each attribute individually or just one of the combinations, as we currently have it, e.g. ball control: where ball control, dribbling and technique are encouraged. Or in the case of passes: where the overview, passing, technique is promoted. But it would also be nice to be able to train all these attributes individually. 3. If necessary, a complete youth would be advantageous from E-A youth to better influence the development. 4. What there should definitely be is the possibility to build youth camps (football schools) at home and abroad. I would like to use the EA Manager as a showpiece, e.g. because this was ingeniously solved there, even if EA's game as a whole has been a disaster and can't hold a candle to the SI manager. There were the monthly maintenance costs and the one-time construction costs, there was also the possibility to invest more or less money in a youth camp, so you could dynamically adjust it on a monthly or annual basis, and you could also see which club in the global football world already had a camp in this city. It would also be good if it takes into account the situation in which my club finds itself and the "reputation" of my club. It should be calculated from three things 1. Financial situation (debts, income) 2. Reputation of my club 3. Fanbase It should be clear that Real Madrid should not be subject to any restrictions on the number of youth camps worldwide due to their financial situation, their reputation, and their fan base. Another e.g. SC Freiburg is a very solidly run club and has no debts, but also not the income like Real Madrid and also not the fan base like Real Madrid, so Freiburg would have to be classified differently. An FC Barcelona can be compared to Real Madrid, but due to their financial situation, this club should get significant cuts and fewer opportunities in terms of youth camps worldwide. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Team Chemistry 1. Measures to improve team spirit (restaurant, celebration after winning the title, etc.) 2. Plan tournaments (for opening, indoor tournament, youth tournament there would be a new stadium built an event to it. 3. Choose a training camp freely, on each continent there should be 3-5 opportunities in different countries. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Base Game & Database 1. Topic women's football and the available leagues in the base game. Women's football is certainly interesting and will have and get its fans, but before this database comes, I think the existing database of the current manager should be better first. I am missing some interesting countries from Europe, including Bosnia & Herzegovina, Kosovo, North Macedonia, Albania, or Kazakhstan from Eurasia. It is incomprehensible why these countries are missing, but there should be a women's database? And hopefully it will also be the case that you can choose between women's and men's football or possibly both, I hope that the database will end up like EA Manager due to its size and complexity. Every second or third year there were broken saves and where you couldn't continue playing them. This condition has cost me years of life and a lot of life time has been lost and I don't want to experience it again, if that's the case I won't play the new FM anymore. I'm serious about this and I've been boycotting EA completely since 2013 as well. 2. Recent events with money in the Middle East, the renewals of the Confederation and competitions (CONCACAF) should also be taken into account, and the focus should also be placed outside UEFA. I also understand that all this is not easy, between research and development, logistics and legality, it is very difficult to constantly update and add leagues. However, given the current football landscape, I think FM will continue to grow and try new adventures (especially outside of Europe), so it's important to expand the base games available and because I'm bored of Europe by now, too. Complete the CONMEBOL For me, this is an obvious question, but CONMEBOL should at least be concluded. Having six of the ten confederations is a good start, but Venezuela, Paraguay, Ecuador and Bolivia should be added in my opinion. I would also consider the step after that of adding the extra layers to each system if possible. Expansion in Africa Look, the fact that only South Africa is a playable federation is a bit silly considering the popularity of the sport in Africa and the powerful clubs that also rule in the CAF. Egypt, Morocco, Algeria and Tunisia should all be included in the base game. Expansion in Africa would be difficult, but there are plenty of decent clubs in other leagues that could potentially be explored: DR Congo, Tanzania, Nigeria, Cameroon, Côte d'Ivoire and so on are all good ideas. The Middle East is a must-see I know recent events have put Saudi Arabia in the spotlight, but they and Iran are two nations that should at least be in the base game. Other nations such as Qatar and the United Arab Emirates could also join as both nations have flaunted their wealth in football. Japan, Japan, Japan Japan is a must-see. I don't think I need to explain more. But as I could see in her tweet, this is already being done Representing Central America CONCACAF's revamped competition structure means that more clubs are now in the spotlight. To be fair, Central America has always been a happy hotbed of football, and it stands to reason that at least Costa Rica should be included in the base game. While Honduras, Guatemala and Panama are all really good leagues, Costa Rica is historically the 3rd best association in CONCACAF and has an excellent league. Completion of the Confederation family New Zealand, the giants of the OFC. While it would be pretty fun to have many of the small nations of the OFC in the game, it's just not reasonable. But with an expanded FIFA World Cup awarding at least one spot, and arguably the biggest semi-professional club in the world with Auckland City FC... It's not too crazy to suggest including New Zealand in the base game. Especially when you consider that the interesting league system is a nice idea for a score. Summary - North African giants are a must-see: Egypt, Tunisia, Morocco and Algeria. - Saudi Arabia and Iran are a no-brainer. -Japan! - Costa Rica will represent Central America. - New Zealand will represent the OFC. - Full CONMEBOL: Bolivia, Ecuador, Paraguay, Venezuela. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Multiplay and tournaments 1. It would be fantastic if the Versus mode will also be available in the new formats of the Champions League and the Europa League. That would create a lot of excitement and for me as a tournament organizer, there would be more opportunities to host fantastic events. 2. In Versus mode, we should be able to choose a country where we want to host the tournament. 3. In knockout tournaments, we should be able to adjust the format of the group stage and the number of teams. 4. Currently, AI managers are added as my own managers and let the computer take control of it. However, I should be able to include my dream team in my tournaments with their original manager. Why shouldn't I be able to include Atlético de Madrid with Diego Simeone as coach? ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I support the thoughts of User Palmeira's researcher I would like to request that this competition be added in the next versions of Football Manager, and here are my reasons: These special features are not reproducible in the editor even with advanced settings: - The competition should have the final on January 25, since it is the anniversary of the city of São Paulo, since the playoffs are played with a difference of 48 hours, the FM will automatically postpone the matches to have more break. - Fixed stadiums – each group is played in one city, and teams that advance keep their city preferences in the playoffs Why should this competition be held in FM? - It's a big competition with 128 clubs playing for 24 days. - The Copa São Paulo is the most traditional U20 competition in Brazil and despises the national U20 competition, which was created in 2015 and has been held since 1969 - Scouts from all the major teams in the world come to watch matches: Watford, Sporting-POR and Ajax: https://explosaotricolor.com.br/tres-clubes-europeus-enviarao-olheiros-para-acompanhar-jogos-do-fluminense-na-copa-sao-paulo/ PSV and Fiorentina: https://ge.globo.com/programas/esporte-espetacular/noticia/2015/01/olheiros-garimpam-jovens-revelacoes-em-todas-partidas-da-copinha.html Real Madrid: https://www.torcedores.com/noticias/2022/01/real-madrid-manda-olheiros-e-avalia-endrick-sensacao-do-palmeiras-na-copinha Real Madrid, Barcelona, Atlético de Madrid, Arsenal, Juventus, Mailand, Bayern (das 2008!) https://www.virgula.com.br/esporte/olheiros-europeus-vecircm-para-o-brasil-de-olho-na-copinha/ - Is the competition that produces great players: Falcão (72), Raí (83), Cafu (88), Djalminha (90), Dener (tragisch tot bei einem Autounfall, dieser Typ ist wie der Neymar in dieser Ära) (91), Rogerio Ceni (92), Dida (93), Deco (97), Neymar (2008), Lucas Moura (2010), Alisson (2011), Marquinhos (2012), Gabriel Jesus (2015), Lucas Paquetá (2016), Vinicius Junior (2017), Gabriel Martinelli (2019), Endrick (2022) sind einige der Namen, die in diesem Wettbewerb explodieren. - Some foreign teams that have already played in Copinha, such as: Velez Sarsfield-ARG, Boca Junior-ARG, Peñarol-URU, Cerro Porteño-PAR, Nagoya Grampus-JPN, Tokyo Verdy-JPN, Kashima Reysol-JPN, Al Hilal-KSA, Bayern München-GER, Universidad Guadalajara-MEX, China U20 National team, Japan U20 national team. I know that there are a lot of problems with Brazil, but I believe that it will be a nice competition in FM. .
