Hi all, me and a couple of friends always play FM online together (online multiplayer career mode), we choose teams in the same lower leagues and try to fight for qualification all the way up the ladder until we reach the premier league and fight for dominance in that league and the champions league later on (fun challenging stuff). However, in every version we play on we always stumble into the same dilemma later on in game (when we gain decent transfer budgets and wage structures) which is a three way bidding war for a player. We have no problem getting into a bidding war as its fair game, however, it does irritate a few of us who go deep into searching for hidden gems as well as putting in the effort to scour and scout all over the world only to have the news expose the player you've bid on to the others, in which all the other person has to do is click on that player and over bid (knowing that the other person has done their research or has presented that player for them to bid on as well). It has become ridiculous to the point where everyone bids on everyone else's transfer targets and therefore we have stopped playing the game at that stage due to everyone interjecting into the others bids as it has raised the wages/bonuses/transfer costs to unbelievable values not to mention being irritated due to this always happening.
My suggestion is to provide a feature or an option in game where it doesn't show or report to the other online players that you have bid on a certain player in the news unless the agent/club wants to leak to the press and start a bidding war. Now if all the online players researched and scouted the same player and they've also bid for him then fair game, however if the news just shows everyone who you've bid for everytime without the other party putting in the effort than that just beats the purpose of the game and having fun. Please take my suggestion into consideration and implement hiding transfer bids from the news to other online players (unless the transfer is finalized) in order to make the game more challenging and compels others to scour and search for players rather then wait for everyone's transfer bid to come in the news and just overbid/overpay contracts. I am open for any other method or suggestion to avoid this online multiplayer issue entirely like for example we could include an NDA contract with the club or agent that provides them with bonuses or benefits in order to not to leak to the press.
