For anyone who still plays FM 2013: have you ever made a narrow formation work successfully long-term?
I have tried dozens of times to make a 4-1-2-1-2 diamond and a 4-3-1-2. Usually it works quite well for a few games and then gets completely torn to shreds. I've heard that narrow formations were notoriously difficult to work in FM13's match engine.
I'm just wondering if I'm getting Team/Player Instructions or Roles wrong (I play the Classic version).
