Mid-Season Review "even if I can get carried away if promotion seems doable like last season". Not to sound like a broken record once again, but we are in a similar spot like last season. In the early season matches our match play was horrendously bad for a couple of games but the players turned the ship around and we once again find ourselves in the upper echelons of the table. The winter transfer window was quiet I shipped Miras the last season goalkeeper away so I can extend some of the players contracts that are already in the squad. Mid-Season Table

Season Preview 2032/33 Squad Transfers Preview Pre-Season Thoughts: The boards expectations for this season is to avoid relegation which seems doable if the first-team choices stay injury free. I'm kind of skeptical with the squads depth this season especially since no one wants to join our semi-professional club on loan. The biggest change this season to the squad is our new goalkeeper and a new central midfield otherwise the first-team is intact, I have high-hopes for the goalkeeper Romain Jean-Baptiste who is a huge upgrade from last seasons goalkeeper Miras, Miras contract runs out next season and then we will have some more money to pump in to upgrading the team, the goal is to slightly improve the team for a 10-year period and then hopefully be able to get promoted. I do not mind a longer approach to a save when it comes to team-building even if I can get carried away if promotion seems doable like last season. The wage budget set by the board this season is: €60.500 per month and the transfer budget: €30.000, I have shifted the entire transfer budget to the wage budget. The total amount of season ticket holders went up again: 208 in total from last seasons: 190.

Most Goals: Segarel (6) Post-Season Thoughts: No back-to-back promotion as my tenth year as manager for AS Cannes. A very promising season though with some excellent results along the way. We were in the title fight til about the month of March and then we started to drop off. With eight matches left off the season we secured our contract and matched the boards ambition about being an established team in the league 3 years before their projection.

Mid-Season Review 2031/32 Last time AS Cannes was in this position of a possible back-to-back promotion run was in the 2025/26 season, that season ended horrendously with 1 win in 15 matches, hopefully we are somewhat clear from the relegation battle and can have a sold mid-table finish. No new transfers either during the season or loans in during the winter window transfer. Season Preview 2031/32 A New Division - Championnat National Squad Transfers Season Preview Pre-Season Thoughts: A new division means new challenges. The board wants us to Avoid Relegation. A lot of players left us the previous season most notably Sulejmani, our striker that quickly became a fan favorite and club legend with his goal-scoring 71 of them in 82 appearances, I tried to keep him but he was dead-set on exploring new ventures. Our senior affiliate Pau FC got promoted to ligue 2 which means that we still have our affiliation with them. I also sold a sell-on-clause for €319.000, our financial situation is still grim though with the insecure status still applied. The squad-overhauling took a long time since most players wanted to exploit our rise to a new division, some of them wanted over €10.000 per month even if they were on par with our current squad. I sat a limit of €3000 per month which we have held with the sole exception which is our goalkeeper who earns €3700 per month. The initial transfer budget was set to: €48.000 and the wage budget: €56000. We sold 190 season tickets this season an increase of 31 tickets since last season.

Mid-Season Review 2030/31 We are top of the league when half of the season is played, and we have a good margin of points so if we happen to come into a slump we should be able to ride this season out and finally get promoted. During the season I signed two free agents to give the squad some more depth, the most important one was to find a player that can go in and play as striker if Sulejmani gets injured. Season Preview 2030/31 Squad Transfers Season Preview Pre-Season Thoughts: The start of the ninth season as manager for AS Cannes. My pre-season goals were quite simple in football terms get better players, but it was quite a challenge this transfer window and the only player in my attacking quartet was our striker Sulejmani, the rest were gone. The board gave me a new 2-year contract deal, the first deal ever that was not a 1-year deal, there were rumors again about a new local takeover (the local business people in Cannes must really love their football club) but nothing has materialized yet. The transfer budget was: e29.000 and the wage budget: 38.000 per month a decrease of €2000 from last seasons wage budget. When the regular transfer window closed we still had €5600 per month to spend. Season ticket holders went up to 159, an increase by 10 compared to last season.

Overall though with how the season progressed I am fine with the results, not happy nor disappointed just fine.

Mid-Season Review 2029/30 There has been some free agent signings during the first half of the season, mostly to cover up the attacking positions in the team if we get hit by an injury. I sold one of my key players during the winter transfer window for €70.000 but I had already lined up a replacement In regards to the league we are still in it, and not to sound like a broken record, we have statically been a second half season team in this division so far. Season Preview 2029/30 Squad Transfers Season Preview Pre-Season Thoughts: This pre-season I had only one goal in mind, keep the first-team intact, especially my attacking quartet. Bids came in and some were actually really good but I stone-walled and the only person that could ruin it for me was the chairperson, luckily he only decided to accept one bid for my left wing back but the team offered a loan back so I was content with that. There were some unhapy players for awhile but they will get over it. I am still looking to bring in some players on free transfers to fill out the squad I have €3700 per month left and some transfer budget to wiggle if needed. The board gave me a transfer budget of: €32.000 the largest so far and a wage budget of €40.000 per month. They also took out a loan to bring the clubs economy back from red. Season ticket wise it was an increase of 5 tickets so 149 in total.

Most Goals: Sulejmani & Chennahi (7) Post-Season Thoughts: Another season with a great second half, if we just can convert our results from the second half to the first half of the season we should get promoted. We had a take-over but they had zero interest in investing so the finances are still grim. As I mentioned in the mid-season review all first-team starters this season has contracts for next season except the right wing back position so a team that knows how to play together early in the season will hopefully bear some fruit.

Mid-Season Review 2028/29 Due to a deadline transfer in the beginning of the season and some re-negotiation with some contracts I made some room to bring in two more players, a better striker and an offensive midfielder. In the winter transfer window it has mostly been about off-loading players or loaning them out to give me some more room in the wage budget for maybe one or two more signings down the line. In regards to results it has been up-and-down, we are currently eight which isn't bad in regards to what the board wants, but I hope we can have another great spring since in the last few seasons we have more been a second half of the season kind of team. In the cup we beat Olympique de Marseille on penalties to then be slaughtered by Lorient, but both matches made some great gate receipts. All the players in the first-team also have contracts over next season except our right wing back position which is something that hopefully can give us a better fighting chance in the first half of the season were we are dropping to many results especially in the beginning. Season Preview 2028/29 Squad Transfers Season Preview Pre-Season Thoughts: I would just simply lie if I had any hope for this season. The worst pre-season so far in regards to try and strengthen the squad which I have been able to do so far in all the other pre-seasons. My Director of Football and my scouts which i solely rely upon when making signings or trials for players, the odd agent recommendation sometimes didn't give me anything to work with it felt like. The board wants another top-half finish and gave me in transfer budget: €1700, wage budget: €43.000 per month , €4000 less than last season, and this year I do not have a piggy-bank this season, the wage budget is already maxed out. I looked at my senior affiliate Pau FC and their squad this season felt as lack-luster as ours and no loans were out of the quality that it could strengthen our squad. I had plans this season to try and implement some sort of wage structure but the wages different players demand for different playing times varies so much at this level it feels impossible, maybe when we turn professional I will look back at this idea. The only positive this season was that our season ticket sales are now up to 144, to the previous 129. A good increase for a club at our level.

Most Goals: Remion (3) Post-Season Thoughts: Well we gave it a go in the second half of the season but we couldn't catch them with that first half of the season they had. Overall though I am happy with the season, slow and steady progress, the board is delighted and it was the second season in a row we finished above over rivals SC Toulon. The season ahead I am planning for the largest squad overall so far and actually trying to build for the future so a I am planning to stay at this level for at least another year or so if something magical doesn't happen. I will also try and figure out some kind of wage structure since the contracts signed so far has been mostly all over the place, the future of the club isn't looking good financially and I have to be responsible.

Mid-Season Review 2027/28 We are doing good, the problem is that Louhans-Cuiseaux FC are doing even better. At this point I just want to finish the season with some good results and build for the next season, they would have to implode and they are unbeaten so far. Some injuries has derailed the first-team some but we have strengthened the squad with two players, one of which will be with us next season. Season Preview 2027/28 Squad Transfers Season Preview Pre-Season Thoughts: Firstly lets start with something I forgot in the post-season thoughts segment from last season, we got a senior affiliate, Pau FC, when the board initiated contact with Pau and asked them to be our senior affiliate they were playing in Ligue 2 but then they got relegated to Championnat National which is the tier 3 in the French football pyramid, which is just one division above us. There were also rumors about a take-over but these have dialed down and nothing has really come out of it. We also said good bye to some players like Kadi who wanted to try something new in his career and I didn't want to stand in the way of that so I let him go, other notable players that I let go was our first-team choice goalkeeper and our striker since I wanted more quality between the posts and a new striker since Ruiz really was in a real decline as a footballer not even stagnation it was red arrows galore almost the whole previous season. Our transfer budget for the season was: €3500, and the wage budget: €47.000 per month. When the transfer window closed we still had around €7000 available for free agent signings during the running season ahead. Our season tickets sales went up to 129, from the previous season 125. According to the odds we should be in the top of the league when the season ends but the board is pleased with a top-half finish, and it is really hard to measure the reserve teams strengths since their results varies from game to game not only against me but against other teams, so sometimes you can get a top-notch PSG reserve team that demolishes you or the opponent and sometimes you can get a win when the reserve team are rotating their squads, but lets see and hope for the best.

Most Goals: Ruiz (9) Post-Season Thoughts: What a season. No promotion but a big leap forward in regards to league position but also have we played. We had a small chance being promoted being in the top of the table when the month of May started but we ended the season with two loses and two draws. To somewhat stabilize the economy we sold two sell on clauses during the season for a total of: €76.000. In May rumors started about a take-over and we will see how that effect the coming pre-season. The board gave me a new contract so I am ready for the season to come.

Mid-Season Review 2026/27 We are comfortably in the mid-table of the league and hopefully we will have some good results this year in the spring in contrast to the fiasco last year. This season I have also done some signings during the autumn, a new pair of central defenders which will be the first-team choice, and possibly the replacement for Kadi, our shadow striker that doesn't get any younger. Still trying to persuade the board to make some improvements either by sending me on a coaching course our add some more coaching staff but they have rejected all due to the financial situation. We might have a new senior affiliate though since the board liked this suggestion and is exploring potential candidates. Mid-Season Table

Season Preview 2026/27 Squad Transfers Season Preview Pre-Season Thoughts: Before the season the expectations from the board was a mid-table finish, during the pre-season they changed it to fight bravely against relegation. Last season we went into a slump during the 15 games with only one win, I certainly hope that we quickly can play us out from this bad form in the beginning of the season and build something from there. My own expectations is a mid-table finish, I do not want to get promoted since the team isn't ready at all. I got some new signings that will make the first-team and hopefully be a foundation for next season, but some bad signings last season, still drags us down in regards to quality. The initial transfer budget was: €19.000 and the wage budget: €45.500 per month. We sold one more season ticket than last season so the total count is: 125.
