  1. Playing a tactic with Arsenal similar to the one outlined in the first post, however it seems very ineffective at home at breaking down teams who put 11 men behind the ball such as Stoke, Hull, Crystal Palace...

How do you stop the game fizzling out to a 0-0? I've pushed higher, harassed opponents, pushed even higher, worked ball into box, play wider... whatever setting you choose doesn't seem to alter the clock just ticking down with nothing happening.

Drop deeper will give you more space

  2. gcs I can confirm that your tactic works better with big teams having done a few tests with GAIS, Oldham, Juventus and Real Madrid.

Arab: What's your policy on OI's?

Generally don't use them. I went in hard on Kris Boyd in the Rangers game but I think thats the only one I've done.

gcs. My team was predicted to finish 5th but I'm currently joint top with Celtic. Don't think you would count them as a small team, but it's a big ask in Scotland to compete with the old firm. In addition we have alot of long term injuries at the start of the season. I'm not intending to buy anyone. I'm even playing a winger in the deep lying forward role (although trying to retrain him and don't play him in the big games)

Mr Hough There has been some confusion over the right sided striker. On my game he's a poacher but has scored 5 goals in nine games.

  3. Hope you don't mind me diverting your thread slightly Mr Hough. Don't think it's worthy of a seperate thread, but the tactic created by gcs as a hybrid of the wizard and someone else's defence has been working a treat for me in my first season with Dundee Utd in the SPL. I'm unbeaten after 9 league games including a 1-1 draw away to Celtic and have just beaten Rangers at home 5-0. Haven't bought anyone apart from one youth who is unlikely to get a first team game this year.

Rely on assistant manager team talks most of the time although will change them occasionaly and almost never use shouts.

    Really enjoying this.
