  1. Hello FM community, The issue/bug is quite simple: In this load, the board have allocated / distributed 1.48K Euros and 7.52 Million Euros for Payroll. For some reason, these amounts are not adjustable at the time. (i.e. I cannot move the bar to make some of that payroll amount into transfer budget) I try to work with what I am given, even though no explanation is really offered. I proceed to look for a loan option. If the logic of the payroll budget stands, I should be able to offer a loan to any player of a salary lower or equal to 7.52 Million Euros p/a I identify a loan option; the player's salary is 2.09 p/a Million Euros Even though 7.52 > 2.09 I am not allowed to offer more than 40% of the salary which is roughly 836K p/a Loaning team, obviously rejects the offer. The board does not provide an explanation of why only 40% is allowed Am I missing something?
  2. Hi FM community, I am currently managing Deportivo de la Coruña, a historic Spanish team going through a rough patch - I picked them up on the Spanish 3rd Division and in 3 seasons we were able to gain promotion twice and then avoid relegation and stay on la Liga after a mid-table end. My issue is trying to sign some quality players. Teams demand high fees for either selling or loaning me players but I have found that one way to convince them is by agreeing to 1 or 2 season-loans with mandatory or optional future fee. Obviously, for that, you have to have in mind what your next season's budget will be - to make sure that future fees do not go over your allocated budget. And so I looked at next season's budget on the finances tab and found that the amount I have been given is 4.6 Million Euros. I assumed this number is dynamic - so if I agree to a future fee of 2 Million, that 4.6 Million will go down by 2 Million. However, I am starting to think that is not the case. I just agreed to a mandatory future fee of 2.6Million and when it came to confirming the signing I got the following message: So now I am confused because on the finances menu, under projection I still see that 4.6 Million I was mentioning. (6.02 is this season, 4.6 is next season). The fact that I am not allowed to make the signing probably means that it is not dynamic, so it does not update - it simply gives you the original agreed amount, and you have to do your best to track how much you have spent from it. My questions: Does anyone know, where to track how much of that 4.6 Million has already been committed, so I can figure out how much I can actually offer players going forward. Is there any way to increase this number besides talking to the board? They won't increase it, I tried. I am guessing the only way would be to get a promise of payment for the future? I just don't know in which amount because I don't know how much I spent of that 4.6 Thanks!
  3. @SinlessCity Very exciting so far! It would be interesting to see some of the players' stars in addition to their attributes when it comes to signings, as I have found that that is a great driver of success in the game. In my game, the winter transfer window was a key turning point point - would encourage you to bring in loans - big first division teams looking for playing time for their promising young players. If you are patient enough you might even end up picking some free loaned-in players (no salary or monthly fee) right before the transfer window ends. Good luck!! Vamos Depor!!
  4. @SinlessCity this is such a deja vu, reliving the beginnings of my own save! So interesting too how you are presenting it. If you are ever curious about how I went about it let me know! Buena suerte!
  5. This is too funny - I have been managing Deportivo for 3 seasons now on FM22, securing direct promotion to second division on the first year and a second promotion to La Liga on the second year by ending 3rd and beating our rivals on the playoffs. The key really has been some really lucky signings and loans, loans, loans. On my third season with them, just passed the half-season mark, I am 14th on the table, 7 points clear of relegation and with one game less than some of my rivals. I am not sure how player performances translate from one save to another, but for me the key to all this success has been a player I signed for free on my first season; Facundo Ferreyra. If you go by his attributes, you probably won't be too impressed but if you look at his stats over the last 3 seasons... this guy has scored 78 goals in 3 seasons for me - 50 in 3rd division, 24 in second division, and unfortunately just 4 so far on first division haha. Good luck with Deportivo, I will follow your journey.
