  1. Bedfont - Lower League Regionnaire Where I try to take Bedfont to the top with only Greater London born players! Welcome to the Bedfont - Lower League Regionnaire, where as stated above I will building Bedfont up from the Combined Counties League Division One all the way to the dizzy height of the Premier League using only players and staff (myself excluded) born in the Greater London region. In this part I will go over our progress since the last update and look at what the board expect of us and their 5 year plan for the club. Progress As you can see another dominant month in the league, however in there is a loss to Corinthian in the Izuzu FA Vase First Round. Lets take a look at the stats of that match and see what happened. As you see match stats wise were very evenly matched with Corinthian and the momentum graph shows that Corinthian edged us in general play. Within the match they got in behind with incisive passes for both goals and had the quality to just tear us apart for most of the match. I was quite shocked by the step up in how much better they are than teams in my league, as they are only a tier above us, I thought we would be able to win the game. When we went 2-0 down I started making changes in the tactic regularly, these experimental and constant changes eventually worked about half way through the second half and I learned a lot from this defeat. Board Expectations and 5 Year Plan Looking at the defeat to Corinthian is a good segue into looking into the expectations of the board for this season and their 5 year plan for the club. As you can see the board are OK with me getting beaten by Corinthian as we just about did their objective of Isuzu FA Vase proper. We are also on course to exceed our other two objectives set by the board and blowing the whole 5 year plan out the water. They would be mad to not sign me on another deal towards the end of the season. That is all for this update, thanks for reading yet again. Stay tuned for the next update, which as usual will be when I am able and willing.
  2. In this part I will go over the progress since the last update, the stats of some of the best players and the tactic. Progress As you can see from our last few matches, we have been less dominant in some games, the Windsor, London Colney and Steyning Town games. The Windsor and Steyning games were due to fitness catching up with us due to the tight schedule and London Colney was due to them being a quality side. All the other games here were easy wins yet again, we are just a better quality and more organised outfit compared to other teams in this league and thus we dominate most games. Player Stats Lanre Balogun, I don't have enough words to praise this man. He does everything I wish of him, bullies defenses, holds up the ball, finishes with both his feet and his head excellently. All of this is reflected in his stats here, he is our talisman. Tyrese Osbourne, this lad is a star for me too. Deadly runner down the right hand side, brilliant supplier of crosses into the box while also getting amongst the goals a lot. He is a highly progressive player who also outputs many good shots, I could not ask for more of him out wide for me. Cameron Pooni is much the same as Tyrese Osbourne, except he is slightly worse than him in attacking areas but makes up for it with slightly better defensive actions. The Tactic As you can see here we line up in a basic and very balanced 4-2-3-1 shape and there is no positional rotations during play. Moving on to the In Possession instructions. As you can see here, the plan is to exploit spaces left by the opposition with direct balls up the pitch and putting quick crosses in for our tall strikers. A very basic tactic but that is to be expected of this level of play. In transitions we are very aggressive and like to not play short passes from the keeper. This part of the tactic is made to exploit the lack of footballing IQ down at this level and has been instrumental in all of our matches so far. Our Out of Possession tactics are made to cover up the weaknesses of our own sides lack of footballing IQ, playing a simple mid-block with no high line, trying to funnel play to where we have more players (this is subject to change based on opposition formations in matches) and trying to unsettle opponents with getting stuck in and aggressive. That is folks, thanks for reading this update. For now my updates will be quite small and with nice pictures to display what I want to say over words, this may change one day but I am not sure on that. As previously stated next update will be when I am able and willing.
  3. When you are editing the search criteria for players you just need to go to Additional Conditions and on the Add Conditions box navigate to General then Place of Birth and type places in there.
  4. A massive undertaking to say the least, trying to reach and take on the likes of Arsenal, Tottenham, Chelsea, Fulham, Crystal Palace, Brentford and West Ham. There are more teams in the Premier League from the Greater London region than any other region in England and the quality does not stop there with many teams in the lower tiers of English football based in the region too. I also have many tiers to get through too due to starting in the County First Divisions. Needless to say, the aim is to build up Bedford to become one of the best teams in the Greater London region and challenge in the Premier League but one must ask, "How will this be done?" The Plan Well, here at The Orchard we have a plan. The plan is to go about this undertaking in a similar manner to Athletic Bilbao in Spain, where the Basque giants have extensive links to other Basque Country teams in the lower tiers of Spanish Football to feed into their setup which is already very good to begin with. Here at the Orchard we will be going up the tiers while looking for potential affiliate clubs based in the Greater London region that I can boost through financial aid and loans while also being able to loan promising players to them, this should allow us to build up ourselves and our fellow non-league Greater London teams for us to then profit from later on in the Football League. We will also be making extensive use of our (rubbish non-league) youth setup to sign on Greater London born players. The Squad and Our Progress So Far The whole squad, all of whom I signed when I came into the club, are from the Greater London region and mainly London. I had a very limited number of players to choose from but I think I gathered a good bunch of lads. Many of the lads are still in the developmental stages of their career and that suits us just fine as they will grow with the club as we ascend up the league pyramid. Stand out players in the first five league games and preseason have been, Lanre Balogun, Cameron Pooni, Tyrese Osbourne, Billy Osborn, Tariq Turay-Aruna, Tom Coulton and Hugo Atkinson. As you can see we have been dominant in all of our games, but that is just the score line as we usually operate with less than 50% possession and play a direct counter-attacking mid-block system with moderate pressing, if our counter press fails. That is all for this first update folks, thanks for tuning in to my first ever post on the SI forum. Future updates will come when I am able and willing to do them on no set schedule, also help with identifying places to add to my filter will help massively with player searching, my current filter is very bare. The one you cannot see at the top in the screenshot below is the very obvious London, help here would be appreciated as I do not use the editor and thus cannot find places easily.
