  1. Yeh that links working fine...
  2. Dollingstown - Season 6 - 2014/15 Northern Irish First Division Media Prediction: 8th Actual Position: 2nd Table Graph Transfers Squad Finances Season Overview So after 6 seasons Dollingstown achieved promotion to the First Division. We spent most of the season just outsode the promotion places but with a few games to go we managed to move into second position and hold on for promotion. Key players included Watson, a right winger who's assists proved vital. Also McDowell who's goals proved just as vital. Obvious aim for next season is survival, however I have already played 10 games and after a good start where we occupied 2nd for a while we have slipped to 8th. Hopefully we can finish somewhere in the top half.
  3. Dollingstown are promoted to the Northern Irish First Division, only took 6 seasons.... Will post a season update later tonight.
  4. Dollingstown - Season 4 - 2012/13 Northern Irish Second Division Media Prediction: 9th Actual Position: 7th Table Graph Transfers Squad Finances Season Overview Not much to report on in the league. Mid table mediocrity yet again. On the plus side we reached the Intermediate Cup Final, and we were unlucky to lose in extra time following a debatable penalty that took it to extra time. Dollingstown - Season 5 - 2013/14 Northern Irish Second Division Media Prediction: 10th Actual Position: 5th Table Graph Transfers Squad Finances Season Overview This was the closest we have come to promotion yet. At one point mid-season I thought we would do it however we were scheduled to play 6 away games in a row (including 4 league games), and we proceeded to lose them all. After this point we were always playing catch up and never occupied the promotion spots again. Flying through the seasons here in N. Ireland and rather enjoying it even though my 5 season so far haven't amounted to much. Really think we'll get promoted in the next couple of seasons.
  5. Dollingstown - Season 3 - 2011/12 Northern Irish Second Division Media Prediction: 10th Actual Position: 9th Table Graph Transfers Squad Finances Season Overview Another disappointing season, another step backwards. Our 6th place finish in our first season is still our best finish. Just can't seem to get a regular goalscorer. Sometimes we turn up and play quality and other times we just let teams walk over us. Anyway not got much on this weekend so plenty of time to make sure we start seeing some progress.
  6. Decided to give this a go after reading through some of the thread. Decided to head off to Northern Ireland and I took over Dollingstown. Here's my profile. Already played through a couple of seasons, really enjoy managing in Northern Ireland and the seasons go by quickly. Here's my first couple of updates. Dollingstown - Season 1 - 2009/10 Northern Irish Second Division Media Prediction: 14th Actual Position: 6th Table Graph Transfers Squad Finances Season Overview A really good first season. Quite happy with the way we played, unlucky not to win some of the games we drew and get more from the ones we lost. Also pleasing was some of our performances against the premiership teams in the cups. One highlight was knocking Dungannon out of the Mid-Ulster Cup on penalties. I felt with a few signings in key positions, particularly defence we could have a shout at promotion next season. Dollingstown - Season 2 - 2010/11 Northern Irish Second Division Media Prediction: 10th Actual Position: 8th Table Graph Transfers Squad Finances Season Overview Rather disappointed with our second season. I found rather quickly that my transfer dealings had done nothing to strengthen the squad, if anything they weakened it. We played truly rubbish in some games, especially away from home. We had the worst away record in the league, but had the 3rd best home record. Next season I am going to be a bit more careful in signing players and hopefully develop a good tactic for playing away (any tips here as I can be generally rubbish at tactics?).
  7. Quite simply, not good enough if we want to win the league. First half same old story, alot of the ball but cant create any clear cut chances. Fair enough livened up a bit later on but it shouldn't take a city goal and a somewhat lucky equaliser for that to happen. No strength in depth either compared to United.
  8. Made a few attempts at the challenge this year. Each of them proving how bad at this years FM I seem to be. Anyway started a game with Hitchin and I seem to be doing alright so far. Here's my start profile. I am 12th after 17 games, which considering my previous attempts this year is pretty good. By the way I can't create a new game on the website, any idea why? Just keeps coming up with a popup box saying 09.
  9. Is this what you mean.. How to Post a Screenshot 1. While in FM, press the 'Prt Sc' button (usually next to F12 on your keyboard). 2. Open an image editing program such as Paint and paste the image 3. Save the file as a JPEG 4. Upload the image to an image hosting website such as Photobucket or Imageshack 5. Post the direct Url to the image here.
  10. I do. I play in windowed mode and have itunes open and just click between the two. Easy.
  11. I usually send my assistant. However after one instance when I was Real Madrid in a title chase with Barcelona and my assistant said Barcelona would win the league I have taken a more active role in press conferences. Oh and I sacked my assistant.
  12. six points from 11 games here...sitting bottom of the BSS with Horsham. Really can't get anywhere in the challenge this year
  13. Brilliant. Finished dead last in my first season with Ashford. Might try another game, dunno yet. I just really can't get into a game of FM09!
  14. So yeh decided to give this a go. Made a few attempts last year, never really got anywhere. Hoping for a different outcome this time. Taken over Ashford (Middx). I am just coming up to the end of November and we're currently lying in 19th... Personal Page
  15. It's 9 points in the Prem. 10 in the other leagues. I have no idea why.
