In real life the transition from 4-4-2 to a 4-2-2-2 happens quickly and clearly, thus far my players form a box in midfield late in the attacking and spend most of the time - 90% of the time, transforming from a 4-4-2 into a 4-2-2-2.
But with both attacking midfielders in the traditional box midfield man marking the opposition's wide attackers (or even wing-backs if they are playing with a high line and are very attacking) are man marked.
