  1. I took over at Thespakusatsu Gunma in the J2 league in Japan in September 2023. I believe we only had one scout on staff at the time, so I set the Technical Director responsibility to hire/fire the scouting staff (One Chief Scout and one Scout). I also set all of the Scouting responsibilities to the Director of Football and/or the Chief Scout (once they were hired). After the season ended in November, there were a couple of recruitment meetings where I accepted the suggested scouting focus; otherwise, I more or less ignored the scouting centre and let the AI handle that side of things. When the season ticked over in early January, there was $56k in the Scouting Budget. I made sure the scouting range was set to the lowest setting, J2 League at $27k ($2.2k p/m). Otherwise, I left all the settings as before; the DoF and Chief Scout handling all the scouting. Around 15-20 January, about two weeks later, I noticed that the scouting budget was negative. I rechecked the Scouting Range - it was now automatically set to No Scouting. I did some research on the internet for others with a similar issue and made sure Keep Scout Reports up to date on the Shortlist screen was ticked off. (I had only ever had one player shortlisted for about a week in the previous season. We signed him before the Transfer Window opened.) I also canceled each Recruitment Focus. I moved forward with the save, but the negative balance has continued to climb. As of 17 May, the scouting budget sits at ($604k). I started checking each week to see if the costs were slowing down, but that does not seem to be the case. In the last six weeks, the scouts have spent between $14k-36k each week, with most weeks above $20k.
