So, I was attempting to make a database with a new, custom nation. However, I've been running into a few roadblocks along the way. Firstly, I ended up replacing Andorra, instead of an extinct nation, partially out of simplicity, as I wanted the nation to be Europe-based, and as the Resource Archiver immediately crashes on startup for my PC. This had a few implications, however. I had to remove all the existing structure of Andorra, which seemed to go well, but a few things refused to go. Firstly, the names. Every generated player in the nation has a Spanish name. As I was hoping for a name pool closer to, in particular, Canada, I tried to find a way to change that. The best I could do was to have every city in the nation be in a Canadian local region, but that also made everyone have Canadian nationality which isn't ideal. With this, the generated staff members still have Spanish names and do not have Canadian citizenship.
Next, I noticed that my generated players were still generating out of the old Andorran cities, despite deleting them all. I tried changing all their attributes and deleting any club or stadium reference to them, but they still show up. It wouldn't be a problem, but for some reason any generated player not from the club's based town seems to be from one of these limbo cities, despite me trying to make them as small, remote, and unattractive as possible. I also tried changing those cities' nation to Spain, but everybody still generated from those cities, despite having no Spanish citizenship. There are about 40 custom cities and 10 broken ones, but I haven't yet seen it draw from my 40. I simulated a season in, and the generated youth candidates also have the same problem.
These generated players I'm talking about are, I believe, a large part of the problem. I was hoping not to create a full squad for all 40 clubs I was going to create, but the start-game generated players are all really bad for their respective clubs. We're talking 80 CA players being generated for 9000 rep clubs, and as I wanted them to be serious competitors in Europe, that's not good enough.
For me, the biggest problem is the name pool. The rest is not the end of the world, but I'd love to know if there's some way to manually change the name pool of a nation. I'll also try to throw 150 people into the nation to see if that does the trick, but I'm not sure if Andorra's existing name pool is too big for that to work, and I'd like a little more name variation than that. Anyways, any help is seriously appreciated, as I know these questions are all fairly obscure, but thank you regardless!
