Like the one Mbappé scored vs Spain a few years ago.
Since in FM the game "knows" the intention of the players it could have been a miskick by the defender, but that's just me speculating. I'd post this in the bug tracker, to let SI take a look.
Appreciate the comments but for deliberate action seems impossible for me because the guy on the edge of the box is shooting so clear offside.The representation is terrible

Why should i choose what type of marking I choose ? It is all decided by set piece coach.
all type, free headers, rebounds, from corners or player unmarked at edge of box, indirect freekick idiot player placement so 2-3 player unmarked at box

Long term veteran here. The amount of set piece goals are disgusting. I have 4 star set piece coach who is responsible for set pieces and half of goals conceeded comes from set pieces.He arranges players so idiotically there are always free player in 18yrd box or around. This was supposed to be headline feature but like other promised features it is nothing but a false advertisement.
15/41 goals come from set pieces. Add this to throw in to back post cross and half of conceeds are from set pieces.There is no counterplay here, I put air defence every week, I select corner defending every preparation my CBs 15 jumping at least , my fullbacks 12 minimum , my forward has 16, but oppositon small frame can score against me .

I feel for you. The way it is that you overachieve so the game triggers mid game slump script. To overcome this, you need to change some aspects of tactics( ie if you are high pressing, take it to mid block, change role from If to IW , wb to Fb etc) then you will start winning again.

I thought this was fixed. Mara recalled after playing 23 games out of 27 because he is not played regularly ? Stop putting placebo fixes in patch notes

My keyest player is making whole squad unhappy because he is not the penalty taker. The thing is I have never gotten a penalty awarded

-This is the worst version of the game after FM19 (1v1 disaster). Defending is completely broken, opposite GKs made 7 assists against me in a season, despite im in low block & cover duty. ( IT was not broken in FM22).
-Free transfers is broken, you cant register them in restricted window ( IT was not broken in FM22)
-In set pieces screen, players are randomly missing, no way of bringing them back unless clear the tactic slot.(It was not broken in FM22)
-Gk distribution doesnt work ( I say roll it out, he kickes to opposition defence).
-Forced contract negotiations with player & staff, Now I cannot check their promise requests & wage demands without forcing me to deal or walk away .
-Why the beta version has "this is beta version" fixed script in screen if nothing is changing from beta to full version?
-Board rarely allow more than 7 coaches while we have 10 sections of training area.
-The only useful feature in FM23 is embedded youtube link to champions league music.

No , he is right the ME is perfectly balanced and takes into more than single attribute into account. There were posts about penalty taking is related with players weight/height ratio in steam forums.

Public beta seems like a trick to stall players in order to gain more time for fixing ME. The CCCs are reduced so low that the ME relies on goals from longshot and chaotic ways.I had a game resutled 6-3 and the CCCs are 2 to 1. The defenders zombies all the time, does nothing after clearence from defending a set piece while opposite cuts the ball back and scores. Penalties are still a joke, as my main penalty kicker scored only 1 in 4 with a penalty taking 15. Guys with dribbling 9 can run past all the field and make an assist while my defenders zombies,long shot 6 players make screamers while finishing 15 players stuck in 1on1s. I think SI should publish a FM2020 remastered version next year as the current match engine does whatever he likes.

Yep, I think same as you. After a while you can figure out what will be the decision and most of the time I just change it to commentary only to speed up VAR process.
If I understand correctly, We need to wait till March to have a complete game which we paid in November.It sounds like a new Preorder method ,others should learn from that.
I hope this does not get deleted cause I need to remember why i should not buy the game next year.
