It's really sad that TFF has abandoned us like that, without saying anything else, without responding to anyone. For us who appreciate his tactics and his work, it is a hard blow and makes this game sadder. :(

Its funny seeing you being so needy from the start until this extent. I didn't want to respond to it until you make the last post.
Its a tough period for a lot of people, TFF did mentioned he might not have the time for it.
Dude, please grow up, you won't say things like this if you truly appreciate what he did, you're just a parasite that cry on things you couldn't get. Don't make assumption whatsoever.

I agree with you that Bailey is one of the best, but I want to understand the reasons for such failures, leading to the fact that the opposing players move freely with the ball to the goal and score a goal or create a dangerous moment. For example, he noticed that the special ability to "move from the flank to the center" or the like, as for example in Pulisic, leads to the fact that such players simply start running with the ball across the field and simply lose it, which leads to a counterattack, instead of give the transmission and then open up, distract or run into the area. This is terribly annoying. So, what special skills do you think the players should have so that this is a plus for the team and does not lead to sad consequences?

To be honest, no one can tell you the exact reason, you can only learn that by gathering all the information the matches give you. The game don't encourage anyone to simply plug and play the tactic I suppose, but fortunately we get to enjoy cerberV5 which is the closest thing for me personally.
What do you mean by special skills? is it the player preferred move? I don't think player preferred move makes much difference, but seems like you know exactly how your player want to do, so you can train him on the respective PPM as your liking.
CerberV5 has instruct the wingers to dribble more, take more risk on instruction but different players have their own attributes, personalities and player traits, just like in real life, is up to you to manage the players and the team, if you think Pulisic is doing a bad job for you using the tactic, drop him. or buy someone else.
The simplest formula to get better using the tactic if you're just doing plug and play, is to buy the best player you could get.

Hey. Does everyone who uses the Cerberus v4 or Annihilator v4 tactics have a problem with the Wing Backs? It's just that I constantly see my players play with scores below 6.5 in matches. Currently I play for Chelsea in the 25/26 season and there are Rhys James, Tomori, Jedson Fernandes, Tagliafico, Maatsen among the full-backs. In general, the players are normal in terms of skills, but there are no rules of the game from them. Last season I was in Wolfsburg, there too, everything seems to be good in terms of skills, but failure after failure, in particular, William disappointed most of all. I often see such a picture that the opponent passes to the flank, where my full-back takes care of the player, he rushes at him, of course the opponent's player easily leaves him and goes 1 on 1. How can I solve the problem so that my player does not rush on an opponent in an attempt to block, but did you press positionally?
Well, playing with opponents at a high pace is just awful. In particular, the match with Man City was just a disaster. There Leon Bailey could just run the entire field to my goal and score a goal. Just a courtyard. And in such matches MR and ML completely fail. What to do? Changing mentality doesn't help. And the transition to defensive tactics (Shield Wall) also did not bring results.

Well, I personally think that the tactic provides general positive results through out your campaign by increasing your winning chance. it doesn't mean to win all the duel between players or even matches.
For your case, leon bailey is one of the best winger in the game and it's very difficult to mark or tackle him, so it is completely normal that happened. There could be so many circumstances and scenario in every ball falling to the dribblers and how the dribblers do with the ball, and where are your players' position when that happens, are they running to chase the ball? or they were at the position to mark and tackle? If your aim is to go into details such as these, is up to you to watch your highlights and do your own analysis, then tweak specifically to counter the play.
As i have been using the cerberv5 for thousand of matches, I can tell that usually the ball will only end up to the dribbler for an open run is from set pieces, so maybe you can drop your wing back from the side you have problem with to stay back at all time, it might help.
And the beauty of the game just like in rl football is, you can only do so much with paper, and see how it pans out. Cheers.

  4. After stopping fm for awhile, i decided to try Cerber with this team, relegated in real life and BOMB! first season in fm20.
People said there's not one tactic which guarantee success, but this is guarantee success, not exaggerated at all. The best for me.

Switching between Cerber and ShieldWall in matches. Don't think it could get any better.
Looking forward to another awesome TFF tactic in fm21.

    Hey mate,

I'm glad to hear the tactics works good for you.

I don't find there's any exploit in this year FM version when it comes to the corners set pieces and the anomaly that you encountered is just luck but as I said on a long road the numbers should look more or less realistic.

    Thanks for the reply mate.

I have been doing some experiments, changing the standard defensive line to higher and low crosses to mixed crosses on my god tier team enhance the goal scorings significantly especially on away games. Just sharing. :)

  6. Hi TFF, I knew that the primary tactic is for any team to be overachieving with a good balance in attack and defense, my case is I've dominating fm20 with this tactic till the point that I am wondering, if I have built a god tier team which is better than any team in my save, is there any tweak you would recommend to make?

  7. Here is my recommended wonderkids for Annihilator base on my save after 10 seasons for your reference.
They are consistent and have low injury proneness which are the two very important pros to me.

STC - Sebastiano Esposito / Rafael Leao
AMCL - Mickael Cuisance / Hamed Junior Traore
AMCR - Houssem Aouar / Yacine Adli
ML - Diego Lainez / Bryan Gil
MR - Manor Solomon / Emanuel Vignato
DM - Eduardo Camavinga / Arne Maier
    WBL - Juan Miranda / Rayan Ait-Nouri
    WBR - Takehiro Tomiyasu
    DCL - Alessandro Bastoni
DCR - Ben Godfrey / Jerome Onguene
    GK - Alessandro Plizzari

    • Please note that they are not the super expensive & established ones from the start.
    • Not all can be obtain at the start as well, I took 2 or 3 years constantly scouting and grab them for bargain price not more than 30m.
    • For Wingers there are actually lots of good one but i tend to go for the minimum 15 on pace. Or a side with lots of creativity and a side with lots of pace, so we can see a lot of assist and scoring between them wingers.

If you train the same roles/duties as in the tactic instead those I suggested then there'll be minimal impact for the attributes development so you can train them if you want

After changing the role training same as the tactic role. they look like this. Much better to look at

That's weird.. but if you have any doubts then you can use the same roles/duties for the individual training focus... honestly, I've never tested it and I can't say what difference will be if a player has Competent/Accomplished/Fluid for Position/Role/Duty

Yea its weird and it bothers me sometimes watching the bar stopped at 50% but i still follow the OP because of the attributes development. Thought of bringing that up to see if it's just me. I'm trying to changing it after they are fully developed and see the difference. Will post a screen shot and show the images of them maxing out at 90%.

I see this player are training Complete Wing-Back (Attack) but he must train Complete Wing-Back (Support) … that's why he's got only "Competent" if you change it to Complete Wing-Back (Support) then he'll get "Accomplished" and if you change it to  Wing-Back (Support) then he'll get "Fluid" but if you ask me then I thin there's 0.5 % difference between "Accomplished" and "Fluid"

he was in Complete Wing-Back (Support) all the time, i changed it to test out the difference. But ok, i guess it is not important. thank you!

Mate, if you are talking about the familiarity that is shown at the screenshot below then I was able to reach about 90% fluidity of it when I train the suggested roles/duties at the OP and I think you'll get about 0.5% more effectiveness if it reaches 100%... if you ask me then would not pay soo much attention to it :)

Mine showing this after maxing out of training as the OP. Only half of the positions show 90% and above. I guess is normal eh.

    Hi TFF,

I've been using your tactics since FM 2014 and i'm a fan of your work.

I always use Juventus and in the last 4 years always using 3 striker from your tactisc. Could you please recommend a tactics that will work well on Juventus and fit the players Juventus have (3 Strikers, 3 wingers, a lot of Midfielders, 7 Midfielders i think).

I want to use at least 2 strikers (Dybala and Cristiano Ronaldo as starters, Higuain and the other as subs), supported by 1 AMC (Ramsey or Berna) and the rest are optional.

    Option for Formation :

    1. 4312 (2 CB, 2 FB/WB, 3 CM, 1 AMC, 2 ST)

    2. 4132 (2CB, 2 FB/WB, 1CM, 1 AMC, 2 Winger, 2 ST)

    3. 4231 (2CB, 2 FB/WB, 2CM, 1 AMC, 2 Winger, 1 ST)

Been trying to fit the players to CERBER & FURY but 1 ST and 1 AMC but it's hard.

    Thank you

If you have been using TFF tactics, you should have probably learn how to utilize the tactic instead of requesting a new one. TFF only recommend the best tactic he tried. Just fit them in your best. You will still win the league with Cerber.  After first season, sell those players who you think doesn't fit and get players base on the filters that is provided. Juventus should be easy buying players. Then it would start getting better and better.
