  1. Can anyone tell me, are there actually visible fans in the stadiums on this game? I think my laptop isn't COMPLETELY up to gear with this edition so there is just a white canvas in the stands...
  2. This whole things a ****ing joke really, if anybody has a phone number/website/e-mail address where our feelings can be truly heard, I would be grateful. This is customers money (in a ime where it is generally sparse) being put to absolute ****ing waste! I aim to take the game back tomorrow, and certainly LOOK into purchasing a DIFFERENT manager game. I know I shan't be the only one. Ridiculous.
  3. Funny feeling he might not be here anymore.
  4. Hi Neil, Did what you said mate, but I still encounter the same problem.. Any ideas? or is it time I just got my refund and tried out a different management game? painful as it is to say...
  5. Have you tried different links from that page that lists the download? Yeah mate, actually tried all of them now. So where does that leave me standing? Haha! this is all an utter shambles!
  6. Oh and err, having tried three, I get the same out come, very ****ing frustrating
  7. Sounds like you didn't install the patch. What web browser are you using? Can you try a different one to see if you get the same problem? Yeah I have tried three now choosing to 'run' the patch rather than 'save' it... Eeeeerm, Internet Explorer? I don't know what specific type it is though... I'm losing grip of my optimism now, and swiftly moving into euphoric rage. Still appreciate your effort.
  8. Oh and I vaguely remember the series of errors, prior to shutdown, being 'parsans XML' or something, if that helps...?
  9. Neil, It shut down on me again I am sure that DirectX was installed correctly, however I am not so sure of the fm patchbecause it got to the very end and then the box appeared saying 'unknown publisher' with my only apparent option being to click 'ok'. Any ideas from here on in mate? Off to France tomorrow, so Its me and you v Time itself. We can go down in History Neil. If you had one shot..would you take it...or just let it slip? I think you better lose yourself in the moment! Keep cracking away please!
  10. SORRY NEIL I HAVEN'T WORKED OUT HOW TO QUOTE Okay let's start with the basics: DirectX from here: http://www.filehippo.com/download_di...f22aca64b8e67/ The patch can be found here: http://community.sigames.com/showthread.php?t=60961 Download and install those and let me know if that's helped. Downloaded DirectX and I THINK I downloaded the patch, though at the very end of the download a box opened saying something about an unrecognised publisher?? :S I'm gonna give FM 09 another try now, so if it shuts down, I will be back on here in time for a reply I imagine. Thanks for the help thus far mate.
  11. Have you updated your DirectX, graphics card drivers and installed the 9.1.0 patch? No, no and no. Haven't got any links for them have ya mate? Is this a familiar case then? i.e. do you reckon this will sort me out? Muchos Gracias Ernisto

  13. Hi Neil, I bought the game today, and I BELIEVE, successfully installed it onto my Vista. I can only access it from my 'Games' folder, though this was not a problem when using FM08. Anyhow, I installed using Unilock I believe (certainly not steam anyway!) and now, whenever i double click FM09 to start it up, a list of errors come up (can relay them to you if you like, didnt note them at the time) and the computer switches to a blue screen with loads of jibba jabba on it, saying it must shut down, and so it does. Mate, I understand this must be a pretty cruddy time for you, working all this right now. So any help is muchos appreciatos! Ernisto
