Although when it comes to national teams I feel like I'm always in counter current. I left the USA after losing the final of the Gold Cup, now I'm with South Africa. The team wasn't qualified for the CHAN, which was a huge blow. Now I have to wait to play the CAN, and then the CHAN. I could take Colombia, great country, but then I have to wait 2 years before the Copa America. By this time I would have something to play with South Africa. But can I win with South Africa? That's not a sure thing, by far. The only advantage they have is that there is the South African league in the game.
I'm really losing time in my goal to win on all continents. But I usually have to wait big competitions to get a new team, so then I have to wait a long time before that competition plays again (unless it's WC)0 -
I'm not a big fan of splashing cash. I feel like I'll never be completely satisfied because now that I paid that much, the guy better be incredible. If he is, I'll be like "yeah well, I paid for it" and if he's only very good, I'll be like "it wasn't worth that much money, I could have gone the same result for half the price".
With Braga I've had 450M+ in transfer budget for at least 5-6 seasons in a row. Yet I only recently started to spend more (95M twice and 65M). Even last summer, I had in mind to splash any amount on the best striker I could get. 200M if necessary. But all the top ones had that tiny thing that made me say "meh, that's very expensive if he doesn't have this or that". Ended up spending 95M on a wonderkid (which was still my top spending).
M'Bappé probably isn't the worst one to do it on. In my save he's been pretty amazing. Although he stayed in L1 so it's not easy to really say. But he won 3 Ballon d'Or, 4 FIFA's best man,...

Getting tired of the one-season limit for tactics. Having to change tactic every season because the one from the year before doesn't work at all anymore makes no sense.

My board announced a new stadium, named after me
Although we would go from 26k to 37k, I don't really see the point. Just go to 50k or something. We have a crap ton of money, and we're playing the CL semies every season since like 4-5 years.

I'm actually really bad at FM.
It was a bit of a weird WC. Finished ahead of Ukraine and Australia in the groupe stage. Then we got Japan. While we beat Japan, France and Brazil got booted out by Ukraine and Ireland. Then we played Ireland, which I beat 7-3 in friendly a week before the WC. Got a red card after 2 minutes, another one later, but somehow managed to win on penalty shoot-outs.
While we did all that, most contenders eliminated each other (Argentina, England). We got Portugal, and I don't know how, we blasted them 4-1. I had 3 guys suspended for that game too. Then in semies, Denmark (why?!). Beat them on penalties. Then Italy, on penalties, after they scored in the first 5 minutes.
So a full WC facing only Portugal and Italy as big big nations (although in 2030, cards are redistributed a bit but not that much). Mexico finished 3rd too.And also, I don't use my own tactic. So I'm left with picking players, and then managing the games.
I could have gotten a lot of nice nations after that, including the one I want, Brazil. But I haven't won the Gold Cup yet, so I stay.

These odds are very low. For something that can be funny and interesting, without breaking the game, I think it could be higher.

Portugal doesn't dominate in my save and I'm there, but yeah maybe the league you're in tend to dominate if there are huge clubs in it.

Having spent 11 years in the club, I was hoping to get my son in the academy (I never did).
I saved june 29, and keep reloading to see, and nothing.
Do we agree that the only requirement is to be 34 or more?
Have you ever had your son in your academy?
Also, I wonder why I bother upgrading the youth facilities, the staff and the academy budget, I mostly get one new player, sometimes 2, and they never go above 2* potential, except twice (3.5*), on like 40 or 50 tries.

With Braga, I took Spain in the end. But I wasn't motivated for them. So I quit after like 6 games. Those were bad games too. The pool of talent isn't that good, and the supposedly goot players were horrendous. And in the end, right after I took them, I decided I should try to win on every continent, so I wasn't motivated anymore. Waiting for African Nation Cup now, see if i can get a decent nation after that.

I agree on both. Newgen coachs seem really bad overall, from what I've seen.
And AI does weird choices. Portugal (last WC winner), appointed a coach without any single experience, with 2 stats above 10 (14 in adaptability and a 12 somewhere else). With all the choices they could have gone with

Attacking 5-2-3 WB Wide by King_Tink is the only one I used that had a pretty consistent scoring striker. You can find it on FMScout
I used it with Wolves and Jimenez scored very consistently. I tried other tactics, Jimenez never ever scored the same.
Other comments also confirm that.

Isn't there like a problem here?
(no idea how to clearly check the pk stats, taken/converted, so I checked in the tactic analysis over the last 25 league games, since we played 21 this season and got 13 pks. If someone knows how I can get better pk stats, because I feel like I'm missing A LOT but I'd like to checked the actual numbers)

True fan of 4-4-2s/2-striker tactics, I assume?
Not a big fan of it in FM so far. I feel like it's very easy for strikers to be ghosts in games, and with two strikers, I've seen a lot of games where both just aren't there. Even with great tactics made by people who know there stuff. I don't really know. It's kinda sad.
