I am not really sure what to think anymore.

I didn't buy FM 2022 and FM 2023 because of the lack of improvements and now I  can't buy FM 2024 because I see many people here complaining about this game-breaking issue. I am also probably not the only one, so this is really bad. I hope they will fix this because I want to buy FM 24 because it is the last of its kind; but all the key issues must be resolved. This one especially, I don't want to play babysitter simulator.

Just ignore the unhappy players, 5 games later they realise you were right. It's not a key issue

  2. I know there are various updates available throughout the season from the FM community but would anyone else be willing to pay for an official update ahead of the FM24 release?

I for one would. I'm not sure what price they'd set it at but I'd be willing to pay £10-15. It's all about the realism for me !

  3. Has anyone noticed that whenever the board pays off debts to "save the club from receivership", that money goes into the transfer budget?

It happens in most SWFC saves. In my latest one the board paid off almost £6m a few weeks into the season and i now have a £5m league 1 transfer budget.

Surely that can't be right ?

  4. For me it's all about immersion. So while I'm happy with the match engine and everything else, it's time for overhaul of the stadiums etc. I don't necessarily mean exact replicas but if a stand in real life is 1 tier, make it 1 tier.

Have the fans doing limbs when a goal goes in, instead of just arms in the air. (and on occasions not even moving). Anything to replicate the actual match day experience inside a ground.

That being said I've already pre ordered.

Promoted via playoffs in first season with Sheffield Wednesday using this. Wednesday start on -6 points and with no transfer or wage budget.

Jason Cummings scored 27 and Nils Quaschner (Free transfer) got 33.

So far so good in the premier, won 2 out of 3.  Loving the tactic

  6. Does anyone think the available responses sometimes don't cover what you want to say?

For example when a player asks for a position to be strengthened as part of his contract, you think you've strengthened but he doesn't. I want to be able to say "I have strengthened, we signed Tom Smith" (for example). But all I can reply is either Sorry or Tough I'm not selling you.

Then he gets the face on and is unhappy for a year

I thought it wouldnt be possible to make football manager game worse than last years edition, so i bought Fm 21 because Fm 17 was getting boring, but yet again Si continues to surprise me.

There is so many bugs from captains being removed without any reason and then complaining why i removed him and i havent touched a thing, assigning team numbers is broken, pre contract negotiations where players refuse to negotiate contract, even though you've met all their demands, YOUTH INTAKE!, offside goals where the player is clearly onside, fickle, unambitious, temperamental personalities on alot of good regens and regen staff, weird stats on both regen players and staff, the game engine that was alright on the beta is now beginning to look more like last years mess.

    Im not angry, just disapointted.

I thought the captain thing was happening... Turns out when signing players they were asking to be made captain or vice captain as part of their contract promises.

Happened loads of times before I realised !!

  8. I'm yet to find a tactic that wasn't amazing for 10 games and awful after that.

Was 2nd after 10 games with a 6 point deduction then went on a losing run including 6-1 v Barnsley. It's the same whether I create my own or use a knap or Beowulf tactic etc.

To sum up, I don't find the game easy at all

We see on the forum that there are more who find the game easy. These are people who have been playing for over 15 years who know what they're talking about and who are always there. They are loyal players and need a little listen.

This situation, in which it is easy to win, suits youtubers who use their videos to attract young audiences and a large mass of other players. What finally brings you money and what's right. But we should because of this majority that says the game is easy, it still improves. They probably spent hours playing too to know it was easy. They know best what needs to be changed so don't do the jokes and what you would change.

If you want an easy game, play fifa or peso. Fm has always been a tactical and analytic game in which no matter how good you are, it's not easy to win. Let's keep it that way. We want a challenge.

I've been playing since Championship Manager days and I don't find it easy at all.

Who are you to tell people to play FIFA instead of Football Manager?
