This idea has probably been suggested before….. but a little “interact with board” option when offering a contract to a player who would be a key player if signed but wants a little bit more than you can offer as standard. E.g signing a proven star striker for a newly promoted premier league team who is slightly interested in signing but wants 60k a week and you can only offer 45k. It’s something that is probably done irl from time to time. Thoughts?
edit; another related idea, although a bit more trivial could be to have an occasional extra option pop up. Either on the contracts or promises screen for, again, a key player or a promising youngster moving from abroad to buy them a house/car. If this was added it would probably be more of an Easter egg than a regularly used feature admittedly.
