  1. When your staff members get approached by another club, you can ask them to consider staying, but I think it would be good if you could give them your blessing instead, wish them good luck, maybe even say that you will forgive compensation if that hasn't been agreed in their contracts.

Especially in a 'building a nation' type save, you end up having quite a few of your staff members poached, but I don't think that should always be a bad thing!

  2. I second this. I was about to post something similar:

You should be able to tell a player that they might not, or will not, be selected for the national team in the future. I tend to manage my national teams on cycles (For instance, as Australia, it's 4 year cycles based around the Asian Cup, for a UEFA nation it might be two year cycles based around the Euros/World Cup), so I've got players who might still be good enough for the national team for the next few years, but will be too old (Or even retired) by the time of the next major tournament, and I should be able to tell them that they won't be considered in the future since you're going to be looking at bringing in a new crop of players.

As it is, I'm getting 33 year old's getting angry at being left out of the squad, when I know full well they'll be 36 by the next tournament.

  3. I've discovered why they're listed as N/A, they're on a 'Scholarship Player' contract, which means they don't have to be registered in my A-League squad. I've signed one to a normal contract and then I could list him. I'm sure that this is a bug then, as there shouldn't be any reason why a scholarship player in the A-League can't be registered in the ACL.

  4. Not sure if this is the right forum, but I can't register some players for the Asian Champions League. Playing as Brisbane Roar, it comes around to registration and some players have an N/A next to their names. This is my second season, and it happened as well in the first but I thought it was just something to do with when those players joined the team or something like that. The players who had N/A couldn't play which was a big problem because in the A-League you have a very limited squad, so not being able to play players in the ACL made some weeks tough.

I can't see any reason why these players can't be registered, they don't seem to fall foul of any registration rules (They're all Australian), in fact in this second season one of the players I can't register was one of my best performers in last season's ACL, so not only is it a blow to lose him, but it doesn't seem to make sense that I could register him last season but I can't this season?

I can only assume this is a bug unless someone can point me to why these players wouldn't be able to be registered?

Attached is a screenshot. As you can tell, I have spots left to register, and the three players (Powell, Parsons, and Woods, plus two others that aren't in the screenshot) are all Australians.

  5. Just a minor quality of life addition, but it would be really helpful to have the ability to replace red carded players in friendly matches. Perhaps with an agreement between teams before a match, just as now you can change the amount of subs and what happens in the case of a draw.

Especially in Pre-season, friendlies are all about building fitness, and while it doesn't make sense for a red carded player to continue playing, it would be really useful to replace them just as if they had been injured.

  6. Have Head to Head leagues been removed from FM20? I used to really enjoy playing the best of 5 series against friends, but I can't see the option to in this league? There's an option to export teams, but not any options to then import the team into an online league?

Can I just not see the option or has it been removed?
