Are the Israeli leagues fixed in fm24?

Here is Alfa Diane from this team. As you can see he wasn't able to play a single league game last season, is not eligible to play this season either, and with the AI refusing to release him it looks like he'll be spending the rest of his life at this club playing cup games and friendlies. I wonder if I should sim several years ahead for the rest of this beloved save and see how bad it gets.

Take a look at this club, this is the start of the 3rd season from my previous save, some of these players hadn't played a single game of the prior season either. Completely broken. If I know this has been fixed then I will gladly part with my money for the next version.

In the previous version the Israeli league was completely broken. Mainly due to these factors across both leagues: A transfer rule which states "Upon expiry of their contracts, players above the age of 21 will be assigned a minimum fee release clause (decided by a committee) if negotiations between two teams break down over their transfer." Clubs would not often release players when their contract expires, even if they ask to leave. Only registered players are eligible to play in the league. This led to many clubs having important players move onto a rolling month to month contract, on the same pay, while not playing a single game for the rest of their career (if their club decided not to release them, which was most of the time). After 2 years every club in the leagues had ineligible players taking up significant wages. This broke the economy of the lower national league especially, and made me stop playing. Does anyone know if this has been fixed in FM24?

I'm in my second season in the Israeli Premier League. The transfer rule in the country is as follows; "Upon expiry of their contracts, players above the age of 21 will be assigned a minimum release fee (by a committee if negotiations between the two clubs breakdown over their transfer" This goalkeeper of a club in the league below, their star player, has been out of contract all season and seems to be stuck there forever. - He won't sign a new contract with them as he wants to leave (considering his options). - He can't join my club unless I pay a fee set by the committee (at 100k). - His club (AI) aren't going to release him for whatever reason. - And he can't play in the league as he's on a non-contract player. Does this seem realistic? He is effectively stuck there forever as a prisoner. He is the main goalkeeper and hasn't played for them this season so far, and doesn't seem likely that he'll get to play again for the rest of his career unless one of those 4 things changes. -
Glad its not just me. This sort of thing demotivates me from wanting to continue the save tbh. Good thing in your case is that you can always get alternative quality players at that level, I'm a few years in my save at the top level and now trying to create a super star team, but when the best LB in the world does this unrealistic nonsense to me with contracts then I also just want to stop...

Check this one out, this has just happened to me. Slightly different circumstances; I trigger the release clause of Alphonso Davies and offer him 200k p/w, after first being on 150k p/w. He accepts; And a few days later, he decides instead to sign a new contract from Bayern for less money!: - On 150k p/w - Agrees to sign for 200k p/w - Instead takes new contract of 140k p/w Does this seem realistic to anyone? Are player managers able to give new contracts of less money to star players?

Thanks for responses, I hope this sort of thing gets fixed in the next version. After he signed a contract with Ajax, I did what any reasonable manager would do and sent him down to the u23s for the next 6 months. At least I can now give young prospects a chance.

I don't know if this is a bug or not, but it seems very unrealistic: - Eriksen on 75k p/w, 6 months left, 32 years old. - Wants 190k p/w for 2 years. - Rejects 130k p/w for 2 years - Signs with Ajax on an end of contract of 44k p/w for 2 years. This can't be right, right? I know he loves Ajax... but still.

Just read in the news that Blackburn, who are leading the chase atm, are aiming to sign a Liverpool player on loan - with the addition of a penalty clause if the player does not play a set number of games. I think this would make a great addition to FM. Maybe not so much if you're a small club that rely on loans though.

I would have done, but the match engine category is now closed. Even if the ball deflected off the defenders head or body, wouldn't it still be given as offside? I thought unintended deflections were not considered on offsides?

It seems that league rules do not apply when sending players on loan to affiliate clubs. This is a bug right? Currently as Arsenal I have an affiliate with FCSM in Ligue 2. There are at least two rules I can see are being broken; 1) I have 7 players out on loan to FCSM to the end of the season despite the Ligue 2 rule of "Maximum of 2 players allowed on long-term loans from the same club in a season." 2) There are 3 non-EU players (USA, South Korean and North Korean with no second nationality) despite the Ligue 2 registration rule of "Maximum of 2 non-EU players" In the last Ligue 2 match they played, 5 of my loaned players where in the starting 11. Including the USA, South Korean and North Korean players. I am happy to send screenshots if needed.
