I am trying to swap Canada and Albania by changing the country names and I can't edit the short name of either nation while I was able to do this in FM 23. Is this no longer possible?

SO I created a new database where I swapped two nations but I get this error when loading up the db I verified the rules and everything. I also checked and the league has discipline rules

Is there anyway I could set up a continental coefficient system in North America like there is in Uefa so the qualification spots for the champions league can change each year? or is that barcoded into the game

Many people ask how to extract files such as UEFA Nations League, EC qualifying, Copa America....
This is tutorial how you can do it.
Add some nation to file you want to extract. In this case ECQ - added country is Serbia.
After that add nation rules ---> choose Serbia and select "Add lower divisions and cups".
You will get Basic Rules screen - you need to convert to advanced rules.
When converted - you will get ECQ file at serbian nation rules list.
Go to the "list" section
and mark all files except ECQ
Click remove and you will have only ECQ file in your advanced list.
Now we must delete that 1 database change we created - we added nation to ECQ.
Go to Database Changes section, mark that one record and click remove.
After that click "reload ratabase and apply undeleted changes"
Now we have ECQ file in our advanced list without any database changes. Only thing left is to get rid of Nation Rules. For this we must edit xml file. First we need to save this file as xml.
Go to File---Export and export your file as xml file. Choose name of your file and save it at some location where you can find it
I saved my file as ECQ.xml
Its located on display in my case. You need to open and edit this file manualy. Notepad ++ is good option for that.
When you open your file you will get something like this
Click somewhere at line 3 - "rule_group" line. Its start of Basic editor nation rules section. When you click somewhere on that line you will see red line
Scroll down with your mouse and you will see where that section (red line) ends. In this case its line 289.
We need to mark everything between line 3 and 289 (including those lines) and to delete it
When you mark this just click backspace button at your keyboard and you will delete those lines (basic text editing -has nothing to do with FM).
You will get something like this:
Delete that empty line again with backspace button.
Go to File---> Save and save your file.
Thats it. Now you have extracted ECQ file without anything else. You can load(import) it to editor if you wanna change something.

the EC qualifying doesn't have registered teams in the FM 21 Database and I swapped canada and San Marino the UEFA Nations League and that didn't do anything at all the as San Marino was still in the nations league and I still get that error in the advanced verification

Bit surprised that the World Cup shows the same issue though as there is no connection there. If the World Cup gets hit, the qualifiers have the same issues, as the competition isn't complete anymore. The reason Asia happens to work is probably because the Asian qualifiers are also used to qualify for the Asian Nations Cup.
All in all, competition interconnectivity, not fun.
no cause I did this to fix the problem in my other DB that I posted about but this one caused the World Cup to disappear so I recreated the World Cup but no teams would end up qualifying for the world cup though

Check your list of teams that qualify. If you have only swapped teams, it means you have used the original file without changes and I have seen in FM20 that it does not show the selected teams. Could be your issue here.
how would I do that if its the registered teams info then it can't be and I haven't edited that file

So I was able to swap Canada and San Marino but when I try to verify the database in the advanced rules I get this error and I have no clue how to fix it.

I re created the Euro cup but now the Fifa world cup and the UEFA Nations League comps are missing from the game including the World Cup qualifiers for every confederation except Asia

In Fm every continent has this except for North America and i was wondering if anyone knew how to do that in the editor as i know how to make continental files but could never figure out how to get dynamic qualification

How do i set it in the rules that if a team qualifies for the Champions league through the league and wins the FA cup that the Champions league qualification spot given to the FA Cup will go to the 4th placed team in the league? This is a DB for North America and Canada
