Linesman are more accurate with offside calls then even the hawkeye VAR - if they flag its literally never onside ever in any VAR review.

To be fair i have been critical of the game but i have a current save that is 13 years deep into the game and still enjoying it and that is probably the longest beta save i have ever had and i am still enjoying it so i don't know if it's completely game breaking

I would hazard a guess that this achievement is basically impossible on this current match engine. It does not matter if you have a team full of prime Baresi and Maldini's, a clownshoes goalkeeping moment will happen every other game. Some else said that this would be impossible without cheating and i agree for this year. I have managed it in previous editions of the game but it was usually in a lower league save where you played crap teams all year and got lucky.

Yup sounds quite normal teams pushing for a win in the last 10 minutes when 4-0 down.....
Ironically i don't tend to concede many goals late on when drawing or winning by 1 goal.

Anyone else having difficulty keeping a clean sheet, specifically conceding late meaningless goals when 3 or 4 nothing up. Seems to keep happening no matter how i react to the opponent. they go from 0.01 xg to .6 usually in the last 10 minutes of a game. Kind of annoying seeing it happen time and time again.

Supporters feedback is just a broken mess. Just won a treble with Queens Park in Scotland and got to the last 16 of the Europa League. The League title is the first the club has won in it's no 163 year history and the first time a non old firm team has won the league in Scotland since 1985. Board satisfaction quite rightly A+, however supporters C+
It would seem that the supporters pine for Tony Pullis ball rather than the free flowing liquid ball that has taken the country by storm. Glad i managed to win the treble perhaps if i only won the league and cup double i would be out the door before my backside hit the floor
This feature is already consigned to the bin along with the twitter feed nonsense - no doubt if i checked that there would be someone saying 'here come's the over reaction to queens parks league and treble win'

Looking at those results nothing jumps out at me as being too bad and we can see that Oostende did knock past 3 you.
Yeah 2026 - 2027 season - i had qualified a few times for Conference league with 5th place finishes but knocked out straight away before. Won the Scottish cup which got me into Europa League Q - lost to Salzburg and dropped into the conference League group league new structure.
I think my tactic or roles does not match up well to these formations as even though the results tell one story - the actual games i always feel vulnerable. St Mirren do seem to have my number.

5-3-2 certinally does not have to be defensive. Your wingbacks can be very attacking minded and you could have an extra 2 midfielders push forwards. I play a 5-3-2 (sometimes DM, sometimes flat 3, sometimes AMC) and it can be very attacking/controlling/defensive. Super flexable.
Did you win or lose those games in which the AI played a 5-3-2?

It seems to be impacting on European games more - possibly because i don't have these leagues loaded? Again maybe reputation based. So yes i really should not be complaining as besides 2 loss to St Mirren its all been good for me.

Some of these games are not a 5 -3 - 2 but a 3 4 2 1 - Basically with 2 wingers and a striker rather than 2 strikers.

Can we talk about opposition tactics - for the supposedly much improved AI - every single game its now 5 - 3 - 2 with 8 defensive players and 2 strikers - like 10 times worse than previous years - i am queens park and playing in europe against some decent opposition and whether its hearts hibs or young boys its all the same. I would imagine that its reputation based as this was not happening in my first 3 seasons or so and its only from the season after when i managed to win the scottish cup

This. Genuinely don't think i have seen an actual goal yet. Every single goal is an omni-shambles that you can see coming from a mile away as the tone of the highlights start to change. It's at the point where that last minute goal you concede to a goalkeeping howler does not bother you because you benefited from a similar howler already
Also don't get me started on the howitsers shelled over every defence with surgical precision into the striker path no matter whether it's Tiverton town or Real Madrid.

Is this related to achievements? When i try to go in and view achievements it takes me to my other games screen and right enough fm23 is not there.

Happened twice now, once in the summer by City and now in January by Arsenal.
Anyone else had this?
If that was real life it would sound like a circumventing of the current years FFP - maybe that is the reason?

They've somehow moved up to 13th in the rankings. In the 26/27 season they were #5 overall, seems crazy! Still only the 1 Europa League place despite their new ranking though

Kind of like the match engine - maybe i am just bad at managing but it seems like every single game you are up against the reincarnation of 1970 Brazil in the second half no matter who you are playing. First league game cruising 3 -1 away then goal 80 and goal 93 and 95 minutes against to lose.

Just got this monster through on my current save. I play a 4 1 3 2 so weighing up whether to slot him in at AF (where i am very strong), or training him to play Mezzala/BBM/CMa type role.

I have accepted that wing play is the way to play for now as much as it bugs me.
However the game is unplayable right now. Players seem to have no concept that they are or have been injured. Players bursting your office door down to leave because of 'lack of playing time' as as soon as they return to light training - not even in a condition to play. They are unhappy before you even have a chance to play them . Where do you even start with that?

Got to say really underwhelming so far, Just seems to be a crossball simulator, literally every single goal coming from a corner or cross. Can't even motivate myself to play anymore and its only day 2

Have to admit i am having great fun recently as i have accepted i can't play the controlled style i wan't. The defending is an absolute shambles - it's not possible to keep scores down so i just turn matches into basketball games and try and outgun the opposition now. Even in games where you have limited the opposition and are winning comfortably by 3 or 4 goals, they will score late on by pouring 16 people forward next goal is the winner roy of the rovers style. I have stopped caring about the catastrophic defending. You see highlights and you can tell the opposition is going to ping it over the top misjudged by everyone or the goal keeper rushes out but the opposition striker misses an open goal if you are lucky you can laugh at it.
