  1. I find it strange how this league is in the game but you cant start management there. Is there a database download for FM19 that has it as playable (I know it might be a bit soon!)? - or is there a reliable guide/video on how to do this? I have scoured youtube but only found guides that add tiers with single divisions (there are 4 divisions in France National 2), I cant find one which explains how you would get mutiple divisions of the same teir to work. Im itching to get my long term save started! Thanks for any help you can give me on this.
  2. Ah that is annoying. His tutorial works but only if you have a straight league system with one league under another. French national 2 has 4 leagues at same level feeding into the league above. None of the tutorials i found on you tube cover how to do it.
  3. Thanks for this. Seems easy enough. I'll have a go tomorrow when the editor is out.
  4. Is it just a case of going into the pregame editor and ticking (or unticking) a box? (I have never used the editor so am hoping it is as easy as that!)
  5. For me if he is preforming on the pitch I wouldn't mind to much about poor training. Unless he is a youngster that I was trying to develop. Just hero passing him and look to replace him at the end of the season.
  6. Why? Lol Seems strange. I haven't seen any other examples of this in FM. Guess I'll have to wait for an edited database to come out?
  7. I'm looking to start my main save in the 4th tier of French football. But am having a problem. I can load the leagues up when starting a new game but I cannot take charge of a team in the 4th tier. Only the 3rd tier and above. Why is this? Why is the league in the game if I can't manage in it?
  8. These comments in the media and the odds given before playing a game are always rubbish. Fairly sure it is based purely on the season preview predictions and hot what is actually happening in the season. Been like it for years in FM. I don't pay any attention to them now.
  9. This tells you how to move the game on. It's a known issue.
  10. I guess the difficulty you will find is that you may not be able to afford to send scouts to Africa if you are league 1, 2 or conference teams
  11. This thread should help... https://community.sigames.com/topic/446628-cheapest-place-to-buy-fm19/?page=4&tab=comments#comment-11529421
  12. Keep up the good work. I'm inspired to create a long ball tactic after reading this. My beta save is with livorno in serie B. I started with a narrow formation and it was doing OK but we weren't creating many chances. Then I tried to recreate my favourite tactic from fm18 (a 4231 with a regista) but its just not working although to be honest I probably haven't got the players for it. So I'm going to use livorno to develop a long ball tactic and then will use it when I start my first long term save. Which will be lower league either France (US Créteil - if I can find a French lower league DB) or England.
  13. Maybe your player has low adaptability or other hidden attributes. Meaning that although he has the attributes for the position he lacks the ability or drive to actually adapt his game beyond being competent at it. Just because it never told you doesn't mean it wasn't the case. Fm19 has loads of little extra like this that keep you better informed as a manager. That is a good thing in my opinion.
  14. Again Seb responds with a very detailed and well written response on this forum. I find your posts really interesting and insightful, cheers.
  15. Currently using a slight variation on the vertical tika taka. I noticed that when I changed the wingbacks to no nonsense fullbacks they will occasionally look to pump the ball over the top of the opponents defence which I quite liked. Seems to add a bit more variation in our attacks. So I might try to have a no nonsense full back on the side my mezzela is and put the mez in attack. And keep the wingback as is on the other side. I'm not really sure "how" I want my team to play to be honest. Lol
  16. Although that said. I imagine the merchandise sales the club could expect to earn would be huge. So I guess if you take that into consideration he could push for more. I'ld certainly like 1% of those global shirt sales 😁
  17. If he wants to play professional football he should grab any contract he can. Clubs are hardly queuing up for him, let alone those that can afford to offer big money.
  18. I'm playing as Livorno in Serie B. They got promoted at the end of last season and the season preview had us predicted to finish 3rd bottom. Im into November and currently in and around the top 5 or 6. I didn't make any signings and am using a slightly amended vertical tika taka style tactic. I wouldn't say I was dominating but am performing above expectations. I do find that I need to rotate the squad heavily due to the high pressing style and this has led to some poor results against teams that were struggling and also conceding late in second half when my players can't seem to pass to each other. So some tactical tweets needed I think. Overall I'm really enjoying it. I didn't buy fm18 so am still trying to work out scouting. Hence no transfer activity yet!
  19. There are two uses of the word fixed here which I think are being confused. The draw is fixed in that it has been randomly drawn at midnight of the day of the draw. Not at the precise moment you click the draw next team button. However the draw is not fixed as in cheating. I. E. its not purposely giving you harder teams to play against.
  20. Yes I've had to zoom out to 125% on my 15.6 inch dell laptop. Felt like I was squinting all the time on 100%.
  21. I think they are the set sizes. I've had to zoom out to 125%! I just find the text too small as if I have to squint all the time. I have a decent sized laptop screen too. Guess I'm just getting old!
  22. You can edit the managers appearance on the start screen
