  1. [FM14] Up The Long Ladder

Just caught up with your progress. Congrats on promotion.
  2. Just checking in after reading the entire thread over the last week or so - to think just a few days ago I'd never heard of the legend that is João Pedro! Huge congrats on a great career and enjoyable read. I've still got a save from FM11 where I managed Barca, was always tempted to join the dark side, Real Madrid, but their squad being in a similar state to the one you inherited put me off. Now I might just have another think.
  3. [FM14] Up The Long Ladder

Just read this from start to finish. Really enjoyable career so far, like the realistic approach, taking into account commuting, etc. Hopefully you can keep up the great form.
  4. Ajax Amsterdam - trying to win with youth

Really enjoyed following this thread over the last few days. KUTGW.
  5. Really enjoying this thread, will be interesting to see how far you can progress with an Andorran side!
  6. Clwb Pêl Droed Caersws

Bloody hell, dafuge! Couldn't sleep, came onto the forum for the first time in months and now it's nearly 4AM! Stunning career, probably my favourite of yours as it's similar to what I tried in Iceland back on FM08. No dynamic league reputation meant the other teams couldn't improve too much, but I helped 5/6 turn professional. I'd definitely recommend Iceland for a future save, just hope the TV money increases otherwise you'd face the same difficulties.
  7. IR.....What am I doing in Iceland?

Congrats on the promotion. I'll be following with interest, my most enjoyable save ever was managing Stjarnan on FM08.
  8. Really enjoyed reading this thread from start to finish today, so many crazy results! Hope you manage to get the San Marino national team job soon enough, and of course get that elusive champions league.
  9. Really enjoying this thread. KUTGW
  10. [FM08] Knockbreda F.C - 1 Man. 3,000 Dreams

Glad this is still going Always good to see updates as my Icelandic team is in a similar position. In the mid-2050's, facing increasing pressure domestically (most noticeably by a second team I took over, inspired by Dungiven) and hoping to restore past glories in Europe.
  11. [FM10] Football Manager Makes Me Curze

Just caught up with this. Interesting read so far. Hopefully you'll get your career back on track at Lincoln, after that unjust sacking.
  12. Good effort. Inspired me to do the same in Iceland (finished 2nd last season at the 5th attempt, behind my main dominant team) so I realise how time-consuming it can be.
  13. [FM08] Knockbreda F.C - 1 Man. 3,000 Dreams

Not posted here in a while but I've still been avidly following. It's a shame it all ended so abruptly but what an amazing career he had.
  14. dafuge's FM10 challenge

Nantwich Town FC - (2010/11) - Blue Square North Predicted to finish 20th by the media, I said I'd keep us up. League Table League Positions Results 1 Results 2 Results 3 Started off slowly with 1 point from 3 games, but as I gradually added to the squad we were never really in danger of relegation. I was hopeful of a playoff spot but we ending up gatecrashing the league, going top after 35 games. There we remained until after the 41st game, successive defeats having destroyed our 5 point lead. However, victory over Tamworth, combined with Vauxhall falling to defeat, saw us clinch an unexpected title, and with it, promotion at the first time of asking. There was a pitiful effort in the FA Cup, losing to lower league opposition at the first attempt. We managed a decent run in the FA Trophy though, knocking out Gainsborough Trinity of the BSP. Transfers Squad It took a while to hire a scout, and then signings came in dribs and drabs throughout the season. There's still a fair amount of deadwood, and an overhaul is needed for next season. Key Players Sean Fitzharris only started playing when my other forwards forgot how to score, but was instrumental in our rise up the table. Jared Hodgkiss is a solid right back who should do a job for the next few seasons. The story so far Season League Position Achievements -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2010/11 Blue Square North 1st BSN Champions First priority will again be safety, I need to do some wheeling and dealing if we're to challenge.
  15. Managing Nantwich myself and made a couple of the same signings. Good luck for next season.
