  1. Ahh its no problem ediocy. I appreciate your attempt though. Detailed Level is as such: Worldwide Club: Later Stages Europe: Mixed Portugal: Later Stages (I am playing as Sporting Lisbon) The other leagues are all none. Club World Champ: Later Stages World Cup: Mixed/All International: Mixed World Cup Quals (All regions): None Thing is, even my most recent friendly, I am unable to access the match report once I press space bar when the game has ended. Could it be that I have to tick the "Use 'user data' folder for temporary files" in preferences? I think everything is worth a try now to get it to work.
  2. Hey, I am running on large database. Thing is, even the most recent match i played, the match report is unaccessible. It gets pretty annoying after awhile. Could it be something I need to change in my options(preferences)?
  3. Hey guys, I am in my third season on patch 9.1 and apparently I am unable to view match reports for even my most recent matches. It was fine on my first and second season though. Anyone has had this problem before?

Nope I do not use the 3D graphic engine so I wouldnt know. So cant help you with that Sporting Lisbon 2008. Anyway, I have just finished my first season and I am a little disappointed with how it went. I won the Liga Sagres but thats about it. In the penultimate game of the season, I was leading Porto by 2 points with a superior goal difference, playing strugglers Trofense at the Avalade while Porto was up against high flying Leixoes at home. Knowing that a draw will be enough to secure the title bar a loss or Porto winning Leixoes by at least 5 clear goals, I did not put out a full strength team and managed to secure a 1-1 draw while Porto toiled and managed only a 1-0 win courtesy of a 89 mins Tomas Costa goal. We won the title although on goal difference but good enough for me! Champions League was a little tough on me, I topped my group after notching up 4 wins and 2 draws but was drawn against Juventus in the second knock out round. In the first leg at home, I managed to secure a decent 0-0 draw but was outdone in Turin where we lost 2-1. The fans and board however were pleased with my European exploits. Juventus meanwhile made it all the way to the semi finals. The Portuguese League Cup was a slight disappointment as I bowed out in the semi-finals to Maritimo on penalties. This was after topping my respective group and knocking out Vit Guimares and Gil Vicente. I progressed all the way to the finals in the Portuguese Cup but unfortunately was knocked out by Benfica 5-3 after extra time. Benfica led thrice in normal time but my team came back and equalised each time through Veloso, Cavenaghi and then Abelairas. However key man Veloso was injured in normal time followed by Cavenaghi near the end of 90 mins and Izmailov in extra time caused me to finish the game with 10 men. Benfica used their numerical advantage and scored twice in extra time to win them the cup, Oscar Cardozo scoring a marvelous hat trick. Tiago and Derlei have not renewed their contracts and have successfully negotiated terms with other clubs. I also managed to sign Steven Defour towards the end in January thanks to converting my excess wage budget to transfer money. Fernando Cavenaghi has been my top goalscorer with 28 goals in 46 appearances. Miguel Veloso has arguably been my best player with 21 goals, 13 assists and 7 MoM in 45 appearances. Van der Vaart has also done well with 7 goals and 5 assists in 17 appearances. Honourable mentions to Joao Moutinho, Simon Vukcevic, Anderson Poga as well as Helder Postiga. Screenshots will be up in a bit

Its December and just as Leidson was beginning to establish himself into my first team, Valencia coach Emery decided to unsettle him by declaring interest. Leidson reciprocated by stating he wanted a new challenge and became unhappy. He did not want to sign a new contract as well so I decided to offer him out to clubs for his minimum fee clause of 20 million pounds. To my surprise, around 10 clubs entered into a bidding war and Chelsea came out top with me 20 million richer! Since I operate on a 4-2-3-1 formation with Leidson usually shunted out wide in a AM position of either flank, it seemed pretty tidy business with Postiga or Cavenaghi in my central striker role. I then went to bid for my favourtie player Rafael Van der Vaart who was on the transfer list with an asking price of 12.5 million pounds. Once again, I wasnt expecting him to accept my paltry offer of 27,000 a week when he wanted 45,000 but once again I was surprised as he signed within 3 days! He hasnt played for Real Madrid in Europe so I guess I can register him for my assault on the Champions League crown seeing that I topped my qualifying group! Happy days! I still have about 5 million pounds to spend so maybe I can get a couple more decent players in. My squad currently looks something like this (taking into account the Janaury arrivals of Abelairas and van der Vaart). GK: Bailly/Patricio DL: Ronny/Grimi CB: Polga CB: Caneira/Tonel DR: Abel/Pedro Silva CM: Miguel Veloso/Rochemback CM: Moutinho/Djuric AML: Vukcevic/Abelairas AMC: van der Vaart AMR: Izmailov/Djalo FC: Cavenaghi/Postiga Not to mention young prospects such as Adrien and Pererinha, we are looking good to compete in all competitions this season. My mid season report thus far is good, I am level on points with Porto with a game in hand. I have garnered 34 points in 14 games with a total of 10 wins 4 draws and no losses. Porto have played a game more and lost once. Cavenaghi has been the key goalscorer for me, notching 13 goals in 20 appearances, while key man Veloso has scored 9, assisted 8 and 6 MoMs thus far. I topped my Champions League group of Lyon, Shakhtar and Spartak Moscow with 4 wins and 2 draws and have made progress in both domestic cups. I would post screenshots, but only if anyone is interested. Good day and thanks for reading!

I have had a 2.5 mil offer for Rodrigo Tiui and 3.5 mil offer for Leandro Romagnoli from Panathinaikos. Will accept and use the proceeds to fund Steven Defour and Matias Abelairas. Need a backup for Vukcevic and a replacement for Romagnoli and Djuric who hasnt been performing.
  8. FM 2009 - Sporting CP: Os Leoes

Greetings all, I just started with Sporting Lisbon on my first game on FM09 (Patch 9.0.1). I have brought in the following players. Fernando Cavenaghi (Girondins Bordeaux) - 2.5 million pounds Dusan Djuric (FC Zurich) - 1.1 million pounds Logan Bailly (Genk) - 2.9 million pounds Daniel Opare (Real Madrid) - 200k pounds Michael Morton (Orlando Pirates) - 80k Celso Borges (Saprissa) - 550k I tried selling Stojkovic and Tiago but both deals fell through so now I have an abundance of goalkeepers. Rodrigo Tiui is on the transfer list but I have yet to receive an offer for him. So overall, nobody out except Carrico, Morton, Borges and Batista to Setubal on loan - my feeder club My 4-2-3-1 formation looks something like this. GK: Bailly LB: Grimi CB: Polga CB: Caneira RB: Abel CM: Miguel Veloso CM: Joao Moutinho AML: Vukcevic AMC: Romagnoli/Djuric AMR: Rochemback/Izmailov FC: Cavenaghi/ Postiga I am now just past the summer transfer window and with my Portuguese Super Cup victory a particular highlight where I narrowly defeated fierce rivals Porto 1-0 with my only shot on target. Baillys long ball going over the head of everyone to Cavenaghi who finished comfortably past Helton. It was a sweet victory considering Porto was the dominant force, hit the post, and missed sitters that even Heskey could score with his eyes closed. I am 2 games in the league, both victories against Naval and Maritimo but my next league game would be very challenging, away against Porto intent on revenge!

  10. Liverpool FC 2008/09

Any truth to the Cavenaghi to Liverpool rumours or is it lazy reporting? http://www.goal.com/en/Articolo.aspx?ContenutoId=908353 Personally being both a Cavenaghi and Liverpool fan, would love to see a link up between the two. However with Rafa saying that Kuyt is integral to their plans it remains to be seen whether they will make a move for him in January.
  11. Financing the following moves were Tomas Ujfalusi moving to Athletico Madrid for 5 million, Alessandro Gamberini to Lyon for 4.7 million, Franco Semioli to Sunderland for 5 million, Mario Santana to Getafe for 4.3 million as well as Inter co-owning Kuzmanovic for 6.5 million. Daniele Cacia also moved to my feeder club Mons on loan for half a season. Oh, I forgot to add, I signed Steven Defour for 4.3 million pounds! Stuart Taylor joins from Aston Villa as backup for just 550k! I am already half a season through my game, and of course looking to strengthen my squad. I am looking to bring in Federico Fazio and Valon Behrami in to strengthen my defence of Pasqual, Dainelli, Da Costa and Potenza. Danko Lazovic is also on my shortlist to provide competition for Gianpaolo Pazzini with Vieri aging. I play a 4-2-3-1 formation and this is how it looks. Flat back four with roaming fullbacks, 2 central midfielders (1 of which is the Andrea Pirlo type, defensively minded but having alot of creative freedom, while the other would be the one getting forward), Mutu and Defour would be the wingers of my team with arrows to the CF position. Van der Vaart is my central player as target man with balls being played to his feet and lastly a centre forward. Frey Potenza - Dainelli - Da Costa - Pasqual Kuzmanovic - Miguel Veloso Defour - Van der Vaart (Playmaker) - Mutu Pazzini
  12. I didnt know there was a Fiorentina thread so its good I finally chanced upon it! Anyway, on my game I am controlling 2 teams, one of which is obviously Fiorentina and the other England League One Carlisle. So far, it has been relatively easy for me, I made 2 big name signings, both of which are midfielders, Rafael Van der Vaart for 9 million pounds with some clauses as well as Miguel Veloso for 9 million also with clauses. I also went for a number of youth, Sakho, Wijnauldum, Pablo Piatti, Pablo Mouche, Stelvio, Distel Zola, Alessandro Tuia, Rodney Sneijder, Leo Schwechlen, Rik Schouw, Andrea Russotto which comes to mind.
