Started over again, i struggle to get in the right players. £80 million is a bunch to spend.

Playing 4231 and I can't win any games in the PL... pre season was good though. All wins against equally rated foreign teams... but once the season started we can't seem to score even though we have the upper hand when it comes to chances. This year I feel it will be a lot harder to find the right tactic.

I have spend my budget on youngsters like Wirtz, Barco, Kayode and Marcos Leonardo and got in (expensive) mentors like Hugo Lloris, Chiellini and Vardy.

I am gonna start over too though.

  2. Things I've noticed when wanting these increased:

    - Your finances must be good, also for the future (nothing in the red)

    - The higher your rating with the board, the better the chance you'll get your requests (A and A+ giving you the best chances)

    - Have high determination as a manager also gets things done

    - And of course be lucky with your board's (hidden) attributes

As soon as the first two items on this list are good, I give it a go. I request pretty much anything (you can request 3 subjects at a time, but try again in a day or two after the previous time, to get more of them done) that I would be in need of. Better facilities, junior coaching budget, affiliates, etc...

Installment payments, I think if you do 12 monthly and say over 3 months you'd only pay the first installment out of the current seasons budget. So what would be a £60mil transfer is £20mil in current year.

Yup, what James said. If a player costs 80mil and you pay 20mil up front, and the other 60mil on 3 installments every 12 months and/or bonusses, only the 20mil would come off your current transfer budget. A normal club would go into administration after a year or two if you keep this up with every player you get in, but since you have the richest owners they'll fill the gap for you. Keep in mind that no matter how good you peform, if your finances are bad (like mine) it won't be easy to get extra coaches, scouts, affiliate clubs, improvements on facilities etc. You'll have to wait until they filled that gap for you and are financially fine (nothing in the red). But if you wanna create a top team on the short term with Newcastle United, this is the way to go. Not everyone will enjoy this playstyle of course, that's up to you to decide.

  4. I'm in september of my 2nd season at Newcastle. I surprisingly won the Premier League last season.

    Transfers out Summer/Winter Season 1:

I got rid of most of the deadwood, which was a lot. throughout the season I kept Darlow, Lascelles, Manquillo and Lewis as back-ups for my back line. Hayden filled in where needed in midfield. Saint-Allan covered as a backup for the flanks and Wilson was my only other front option until the winter transfer window.

Huge TIP: To get rid of players like Joelinton, Hendrick, Murphy, ... try to send em out on loan with a mandatory fee (or a fee after 5 games) of their value. That sometimes works. If you still can't get rid of them it's because teams don't have the wage budget to pay for their loan, multiply their weekly wage by 4 and ask for a used/unused fee of that equivalent. Chances are that teams have the transfer budget to get them in instead. At least this way you don't pay their salary until someone gets interested enough to buy them.

    Squad and tactic Season 1:

    image.png.2c15fdabfabc6e365c6585b55dc5daea.png

GK: Dubravka did  a great job in goal for me

    image.thumb.png.d2e1a38f9a30c92f3cb2c2023cfdfc53.png

DC: Gvardiol /Nianzou were my duo in the back for most of the season

    image.thumb.png.62f105021e649a79fbff2fde3190d1bf.pngimage.thumb.png.b10e319b265db5549c7135bf4fb6dce5.png

WB: Theo Hernandez on the left/Alphonso Davies on the right after a few weeks of retraining. These wingbacks were an unstoppable force thanks to their speed

    image.thumb.png.e59cad7ddd6d97ca4693b9c82b0b2fe7.pngimage.thumb.png.795f9630f99040fca8cfae815f8069e3.png

MC: My midfield trio Declan, Bellingham, and Willock. Declan in any protective role, struggled to get his rating up, Bellingham as a BBM role was great, and Willock as an AP did a good job too.

    image.thumb.png.cfcc4dae2dc365e19a6135c2b4bc1e93.pngimage.thumb.png.5ebbc20ba4d6e5c069447ed74a4ff88d.pngimage.thumb.png.9ec9606d1445ecd7fe2854c9ff01fbc3.png

IW: Musiala did ok on the left and proved to be a goalscoring threat, but I expected a bit more of him. Saint-Maximin's performances were actually even better, but the link with Hernandez made him my first choice. Kulusevski on the right was of a similar mould as Musiala.

ST: Calvert-Lewin didn't lose his spot to Wilson, unless he was injured. Ronaldo became the top goalscorer with 33 goals... No way he could've caught up with him.

    Transfers in Summer Season 2:

I got 178m and a 3M+ wage budget to spend just after I got a CL spot, and as I always do when doing transfers for the big targets I pay up about 20-30mil up front and the rest in installments and bonusses. The good thing about a Sugar Daddy is that they fill up the hole you dig... luckily. So take a seat and enjoy the show! Keep in mind that to get world class players that seem uninterested to join at first, you just have to boost your teams reputation by getting other players in that do want to join and do exactly that.

    image.png.d0175c3aee49e808f1dce8f127ddf3dc.pngimage.png.312c97ee51b2b947599203793372567d.png

As you can see, my team became pretty unbeatable in just one season's time. Pay attention that you can only get 6 foreign U21 players from abroad per season. I still have Moukoko, Angelo and Luka Romero coming in in January 2023 so I went easy on the other 3 young toptalents for this season being Pedri, Fati and Camavinga. Madueke is an english player abroad and Reyna is actually english as well so he doesn't count. Khvicha and Mamardashvili were 21 years already when I got them in.

As I don't have any players trained by the club anymore (I'm hoping Dane and Devine can become those for me in the future) I was only able to add 21 players to my CL list. I had some tough decisions to make, but only Nianzou complained a bit. So all good.

As you can see I'm building for the future with wonderkids or world class talents for all positions. I try to get in tutors as well in the likes of Belotti, Coates, Daniel Silva and Ademi, to get the determination (so their attributes go up faster) of players up if I can spare it. Another way of getting determination up is when after a game a player has a rating of 6.5 or below you can discipline him with a 1/2 week's wage fine. Sometimes their Work Rate and/or Determination go up with 1 if they agree.

    Squad and tactic Season 2:

    image.png.4cfdafd8baec3aaa5e43c09cc84cd8f7.png

I'm currently lying in 2nd position. We lost our home game against Liverpool with 0-1 thanks to a red card for Gvardiol and managed a draw against Leicester City, but I'm confident we'll come out on top again this season. 2 out of 2 wins in the CL campaign as well so far.

    image.png.310ce4b14f9b5ff9b4b208814fe5a60d.png

Our team cohesion obviously needs a bit of work still

    image.thumb.png.ed50a2b864b745d001d7f553cc27370a.png

Finances are still "Okay", I love you Sugar Daddy! Although failing the FFP I'm sure he'll help me out on that too.

    1. Jesus Gallardo from Monterrey, cheap top quality left back, or Kwadwo Asamoah on a free

    2. Manuel Ugarte from Fénix, Wonderkid midfielder

    3. Yusuf Demir From Rapid Vienna or Marcus Edwards from Vit. Guimaraes

All of these can be bought as Leeds United (you might have to get rid of Pablo Hernandez and Adam Forshaw to help a bit on your transfer budget), and are fairly cheap, except for Demir.

  6. OHL:

    - Toon Raemaekers has a contract until 30/06/2022 according to https://www.transfermarkt.nl/toon-raemaekers/profil/spieler/712086 ~ 30/06/2021 in game

    - Derrick Tshimanga should be able to play as a Central Defender (Left) in Marc Brys his system and also according to https://www.transfermarkt.nl/derrick-tshimanga/profil/spieler/78507

    - Aboubakar Keita weighs 70kg according to https://www.ohleuven.com/team/1033423 ~ 84kg in game

    - David Hubert was born in Uccle (french)/Ukkel (dutch) according to several sources https://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_Hubert and https://www.transfermarkt.nl/david-hubert/profil/spieler/52811 ~Wavre in game

He has also played 2 international games for Belgium ~ 0 in game

    - Tom Van Hyfte his attributes are maybe a bit too good overall since has been dropped to the Reserves together with a few other players https://www.voetbalprimeur.be/nieuws/948512/ohl-houdt-grote-kuis-perbet-en-limbombe-moeten-elders-trainen.html

    - Kamal Sowah is currently one of our best performing players with 4 goals and 2 assists in 11 games and some of his attributes could maybe get an update including composure, finishing, positioning, dribbling and technique?

at 2:49 he's showing good composure and finishing

at 1:59 he's also showing good composure and finishing

at 3:12 he's again showing good composure and finishing (and positioning)

His media description should be attacking midfielder or winger since he's playing mostly on AMR or as a Shadow Striker/AMC as a left footed player he can easily play as an AML as well although that doesn't happen too often ~as far as I know (and I watch all OHL games) I haven't seen him play as a Defensive Midfielder as he wouldn't have the skills for it.

    - Yohan Croizet's height is 180cm according to https://www.ohleuven.com/team/1622922 ~ 178cm  in game

    - Samy Kehli weighs 80,5kg according to https://www.ohleuven.com/team/793896 ~75kg in game (probably from warming the bench)

He weighs 75kg according to https://www.ohleuven.com/team/1857033 ~ 66kg in game

    - Stallone Limbombe weighs 71kg according to https://www.ohleuven.com/team/1857033 ~ 67kg in game (also from warming the bench)

his strong foot is right according to his highlight video ~ Left Only in game:

    - Olivier Myny was born in Zwevegem ~ Waregem in game (but it's close by if Zwevegem ain't an option in the editor)

    - Milan Tucic was born on 15/09/1996 according to https://www.ohleuven.com/team/1336547 but several other sources tell that his birthday in game is correct. I think OHL's website might have made a typo in that case.

I had already noticed it. His attributes have had an update - don’t know why the finishing was so low. Anyway: he should be scoring more in the next build.

I believe he had 10 for finishing last FM as well, that's why I wanted to address it this time :). Thanks for all the good work everyone at SI by the way!

  8. For someone who was topscorer in 1e klasse B the season before with 16 goals, it seems that 10 for finishing for Thomas Henry seems a bit low. This season he's also on a good roll with 5 goals and 2 assists in 10 games. There are others in the team that barely or don't come off the bench in real life that have even more for finishing. Has this to do with how CA is distributed?

    image.thumb.png.a799e13278add2a0b47d5dade2c299ff.png

  9. I've played 1 season with Leicester City and they're really fun to play with. I ended up 3rd in the Premier League with a 4-2-3-1 (Gegenpress) or 4-1-4-1 (Gegenpress) tactic that do the trick.

Transfers out at the start of the game:

    Gray (16.25m to Newcastle)

    Kelechi (15.75m to Crystal Palace)

    Mendy (3.3m to Saint-Etienne)

    Albrighton (3m to Udinese)

    Amartey (11.75m to Burnley).

Transfers in at the start of the game:

Ruben Dias (45m with installments, of which 14m up front)

Kluivert (18m with installments, of which 5m up front)

Tonali (64m with installments, of which 14m up front)

Vinicus Junior (63m with installments, of which 10m up front and 50% percentage of next sale sadly)

    Unuvar (youth contract)

Telles (34m with installments of which 8m up front)

Mario Fernandes (31m with installments, of which 7m up front)

Belotti (41.5m with installments, of which 8m up front)

    Parrott (on loan)

    My 1st choice tactic:

                                                         Vardy ( PF At )

Vinicius (IW Su)                                                                       Kluivert  (IW Su )

                                                   Maddison (AM/T/Eng)

                                      Tielemans (DL Su)   Ndidi (BBM/BWM)

Telles (WB Su)       Dias (BPD De)         Soyuncu (CD De)    Ricardo (WB Su)

                                                     Schmeichel (SK At)

I haven't figured out yet how to get the most out of Maddison. On top of that, despite his good free kick taking he doesn't manage to score any goals from them. I suggest trying to remove the "hits freekick with power" trait. Tielemans is the best player of the team together with Tonali. I pair them up sometimes as DLP Su and DLP De which seems to work fine. Mostly I use Tonali as backup for N'didi. I play through the middle for obvious reasons. Scoring is a problem in the team due to the lack of poor finishers,  although Vardy became topscorer of the Premier League for me. Most of the times he seems to be invisible but he scores his goals. Kluivert and Vinicius are bad at crossing and finishing so don't expect game changing results from them. They're mostly there for their pace and acceleration in a counter attack. Chilwell, Pereira, Fernandes and Telles are all solid wing backs. Dias is as always a rock in defense, and he pairs well together with Soyuncu. Evans and Morgan will start to moan at some point, so you can try to shush them with playtime (which I can't suggest since they are quite slow defenders, unless as a sub) or sell them in the january transfer window. The biggest struggle I have with this team is to stay consistent enough to stay at the top. Whatever you do, don't be negative in your team talks, it seems to affect them a lot. Vardy is hard to trigger even with his "perfectionist" personality, don't be too harsh on him to score you more goals. You can tutor your youngsters in one big group together with Evans (Model Citizen), Belotti (Model Citizen) and Vardy (Perfectionist) to get those good partnerships up on the pitch. To make your team gel together relatively replace once a week after matchday a "rest" with a "team bonding" training. This works miracles for your team morale and coach support. Your team might become jaded after a while, so don't forget to change "team bonding" with "rest" in that case. All in all, this team is CL material. Your next goals are to catch up with Man City, but mostly with Liverpool. For the 2nd season Sancho, Haaland and De Ligt are on my list as they are willing to join. Hang on to the home grown players since they're still good backups or even first team players (Barnes, Chilwell, Choudhury, Justin) and you will need them for your registration. Get rid of all the players that come back from loan for an extra income. Benkovic is the best one of them that could keep. He can provide good back up if you're not planning on stealing De ligt.

  10. Does anyone remember Peter Prospar and Alexandros Papadopoulos? The first one was from Trinidad and Tobago the latter from Greece and I believe they were in the previous Championship Manager version. I don't remember what season though. They had some crucial stats for their positions and destroyed any opponent. You could pick them up for scratch at the start of the season. Besides those two, the young Wayne Rooney and the 13 year old (back in the days when kids were allowed in games) Freddy Adu are my other favourites. Lebohang Mokoena and Benedict Vilakazi were crazy South African wonderkids and a must buy as well.

  11. Playing as Man Utd:

    Assistant Manager: Marco Landucci

Coaches: Dennis Bergkamp , Aldo Dolcetti, Maurizio Trombetta, Paul McGuinness, Danny McGrain

Goalkeeping Coaches: Hugo Oliveira, Pedro Jaro

Fitness Coaches: Oliver Bartlett, Michael Lindeman/Simone Folletti

    HoYD: Bernhard Peters

    Director of Football: Ariedo Braida

Youth Team coaches/Managers/Assistant Managers: Norbert Elgert, Tony McAndrew, Gordon Ewen, Darlan Schneider, Flavio Tenius, Joao Tralhao, Kevin Sheedy, Thomas Caers

These give you mostly a 4.5 or 5 Star Coach rating depending on the save game.

It's an interesting squad with quite a few issues, and one or two over-rated players imo. I just fired up a save and have cleaned out the backroom staff (a la Moyes >_>) just having a bit of trouble finding an Assistant Manager...

Try to get in Samaden or Bernhard Peters. Sometimes they have 17 or 18 tactical knowledge as well depending on the save.

    WTF?!

You have to exploit your sugar daddy. I don't know how you can be pleased with buying Jimenez when you can buy Belotti. Or why you would keep Bennett if you can buy De Ligt. e.g. De Ligt I bought for 12.5 million euros up front and 30 mil on installments with an extra 5 mill after 30 league app. and 2.5 mil after 20 international app. That way you can keep most of your current transfer budget for other buys and when the balance goes in the red numbers your sugar daddy jumps in. But also hope you bought in well so you live up to expectations. After season 1 you can sell your best players for 150 mill to 200 mil in total if you strike good deals dont accept offers with installments, let them pay all up front). make the math for how many winderkids you can buy with that amount with my tactic ;)

  14. I just finished my first season with them. Ended 9th in the PL, but I won the FA Cup against Liverpool. After promising to the board that I'd reach a CL spot (more transfer budget) I was close to being sacked so I had to bull*hit my way out in a meeting with them.

    https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1686726512

In the first transfer window I got in De Ligt, Upamecano, Tierney and Belotti as big catches and some high potential players such as Tonali, Doku, Fabio Silva, Morilla… which all got play time. I always offer 10-15 million euros(!) with most on monthly installments to lure the better wonderkids away. That's what a sugar daddy is for after all.

I played a 4-1-2-3 DM Wide that I found on the net and adjusted slightly. You don't want Patricio to be a sweeper keeper... trust me.

    https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1686729413

Moutinho was my best player together with Traoré and Neves. Jimenez stopped scoring halfway through the season, ditto with Belotti which I loaned out to Everton during the winter transfer period (high wages). I had to put Jota in the striker position which worked out better for me.

I didn't get too much to spend for 2019/2020 so I decided to sell quite some of my players 20-40 millions each (I kept Neves and Mouthinho)  and got in a lot of big talents like Lafont, Foden, Declan Rice, Moise Kean, Lee Kangin, Dani Olmo, Pellegri, Lautaro Martinez, Dalot , Militao(Wonderkid backline ftw), and Gedson Fernandes with the same tactic as in the first season. There is Also a good Japanes player in the Middle East called Nakajima. I got him for my right winger spot. There ain't a lot of natural right winger wonderkids out there, or at least not any you can lure to Wolves, so I am retraining Nakajima and Olmo for that position.

My staff (4 stars or more but can vary)
