Probably the most exciting player from a youth intake I've ever had. Could be a key player for me in six months.

Really is, never been close to 70 either. He's just started the new season with four goals against Norwich in a 8-2 win

Don't think I've ever had a player scoring 70 goals in a season in my 20 years time as a Manager player. Unbelievable from Greenwood, and he didn't even score in the last six games.

Just finished two seasons with United and I am very satisfied with my results with a 4-4-2.

This has been my tactic most of the time. I have never played a four man midfield without a player on defend, but I wanted both CM's to be able to arrive in the box. I was afraid that it would leave me vulnerable for counters. But with only 45 goals conceded in the PL over two seasons, I am satisfied.

I have only done a three major signings:

- James Ward-Prowse came in midway through my first season

- Dusan Vlahovic arrived for the start of the second season, while I could not say no to Cristiano Ronaldo for 4 million in January

I was also excited to see how Bruno will do as a wide playmaker. 31 goals 59 assists over two seasons has left me very pleased.

Martial and Greenwood has also been fantastic upfront. Martial topping last season's 42 goals with 43 this season. Greenwood going from 17 to 39 goals.

Two PL titles followed by a wonderful CL campaign this season, beating City 9-1 in the semis:

Season 2025/26

My ninth season for Sporting turned out to be my best. I managed to bring back the league trophy to Estádio José Alvalade (after playing catch up with Benfica all season, winning on better goal difference) and I also won the Champions League! Real Madrid, Milan and Chelsea were beaten in the knockout phases before the final:

Benfica just kept winning and winning and winning before eventually beginning to draw games:

I sold my exceptional goalkeeper for 120 million at the start of the season to PSG - a record by far - and it was also my best window in terms of total value of sales:

My two forwards had fantastic seasons again and Baldé's 23 assists was a record:

After using a 4-4-2 for most of my time at Sporting I tried a 3-4-1-2 for this season because I was losing many of my full backs and had a lot af good center backs. It was a succes.

Season 2024/25

A fantastic season ended in an awful way.

We were number one in the league from round one til round 33 but a defeat to Porto in the last round meant we lost out on another gold medal:

It was our first defeat in 68 league matches.

In the Champions League we finally did something. We beat Guardiola's Liverpool (the previous three seasons winners) in the first knockout round before Milan and Manchester United were swept aside. In the final PSG was too big a mouthful:

My two young forwards Brigatti and Ricardo did wonderful with 54 goals, while Brás and Baldé still are going strong:

Another season with big sales and I have got a feeling I will break the record for a player's sale this summer:

Season 23/24

Sixth season done - another championship and another disappointment in the Champions League.

Finally, I managed to go the league season undefeated. We were behind Porto for most of the season, but they ran of out of steam. In the Champions League we lost out on away goals in the first knockout round after 0-0 in France and 1-1 in Portugal against Lyon.

Cristiano had a fine season - his last as a player - with 21 goals. Brás was excellent on the wing and Acuña just continues to performe everytime.

It was another extra ordinary season when it comes to sales. I could not say no to selling a 29 year old Bruno Fernandes for 70 million. 42 million for Raphinha was also more than fine. I did not start a single game for Inter this season. Liverpool's midfield is now made of two former Sporting players in Doumbia and Michael.

I did not use a lot of money either, signing a Mexican and an Argentinian with lots of potentiel.

Season 2022/23

Once again we were superior in the league with only one defeat, this time in round 33 against Benfica. They managed to score three against us in the match, meaning we conceded 11 times all season. My keeper had 35 clean sheets in the 48 games he played.

My three forwards had 65 goals between them in all competitions, while Wendel, Baldé and Brás also enjoyed lots of goals from midfield.

This season was again very much about selling players. I sold players for nearly 300 million pounds and I expect more big sales this summer transfer window. I sold by best defender in Rêgo and Martínez but I just brought in some new exciting prospects.

We were knockout by Monaco in the 1/8 finals of the Champions League, but we won both cups so I am now on seven cup trophies and four leagues. Overall sales is now on 749 millions pounds.

And Cristiano Ronaldo is coming back to Sporting this summer!

Really enjoying a game with Sporting myself and I've just finished my fourth season.

A short summary of my four seasons:

2018/19: 2nd in the league (21-10-3), Europa League 2nd KO Rnd, Taca runner-up
2019/20: League Champions (28-5-1), 4th in CL Group, League Cup runner-up
2020/21: League Champions (29-4-1), CL Quarter Final, Taca winner, League Cup winner
2021/22: League Champions (30-3-1), CL Quarter Final

So pretty satisfied with my constant development in the league. Only defeat this season was against number 10, Marítimo. After a 5-2 win away to Benfica in the second round we never looked back, and Benfica had an awful season. Last season they got 87 points, this season only 55 and sixth place!

My game is very much about getting young players for small money and selling them with huge profit. After four seasons Sporting is booming with money. Right now I've got ₤200 million to shop for.

So, this is my squad. Managed to keep Bruno Fernandes and have him on a contract to 2026 but no doubt clubs will try again this summer. Same goes for Agustín Almendra, Idrissa Doumbia and Lisandro Martínez who will difficult to keep hold of. Lisandro Martínez has developed into an excellent ball-playing defender!

Bruno, Doumbia, Baldé, Cabral, Raphinha, Rêgo, Acuña, Braganca and Wendel has been here all the way.

Now for the fifth season and maybe I have to use some of my money to get closer to the Champions League trophy. There seem to be some way to biggest clubs still, although I beat Barcelona 5-0 in my third season. But I lost 5-9 on aggregate to Liverpool this season.

What are your tactics like? also do you play angel as a AP or treq? 

It varies a lot. Also for Gomes. He has played as an IF, AM and CM.

I have mostly played a 4-4-1-1 or 4-3-3 with high pressure.

Time to show some bits from my save with United after six seasons.

I have just won my fourth Premier League (2019, 2020, 2021, 2024) - Liverpool were outstanding in the last two seasons with 101 points in each. So it was nice to win back the championship unbeaten and with 128 goals for and only 20 against.

Look at Pogba. 37 goals, new record! He scored 43 goals in all competitions and was by far my top scorer. Rashford (22), Chong (21), Greenwood (21) were next on the list.

I have won the Champions League four times (2020, 2021, 2023, 2024) but I am not much worth in the domestic cups with only one FA Cup and two League Cups.

For me playing with United is about making most of the young talents. This year it is Angel Gomes, Tahith Chong, James Garner, Mason Greenwood and Ethan Laird. Anyway, that is the five players who has became first team players for me. Some of them are key players now.

Gomes is fantastic with his versatility in the attacking positions. Excellent player for me.

Laird is a great backup on the full back positions but not more than that. Had hoped for better development in the mental attributes.

I am loving Garner as a new Carrick. Using him a lot as half-back. First team player.

The best of them all. Fantastisk development. One of the best players in the world right now. "Elite winger".

Had hoped for a bit better development but with 91 goals the last four season I am satisfied!
