    When you look up a referee in the editor, in the official Data page you can set the competition for the ref. I am not sure if this completely fixes your issue, but depending on which referee you are referring to, it could be he has no competition set and the game uses him at every level.

    They are already set correctly there, but seems the game still isn't properly assigning them. One work-around I want to try is to delete them completely from the database and re-create them from scratch.

    I've run into a slight issue with the Romanian leagues, as described here, so I'm asking if there's any other way to somehow "bind" certain referees to certain competitions ?

    If I check their profile in the pre-game editor they all seem to be set just fine (i.e. top-rated ref set as referee for the top tier league), but the game randomly assigns them even for U19 matches. In some case, top-rated refs (good reputation, high abillty, set for top league) ONLY get U19 matches for an entire season. Can this be corrected via the editor somehow ?

    Sorry if this would be considered a double post, I already described the issue and received some help here and the bug has been aknowledged here, but there are still some issues.

    Long story short, I'm using the latest game version from Steam (12.4.1) and I want to enable the teams in the Romanian Second League (using database 20.1) to be able to use squad numbers between 1-99 (as in real life), but there appears to be a bug in the Advanced Rules preventing verification (on 29.06.2020 the Romanian Third League throws an error about only finding 15 teams instead of 16), therefore I can't use the file in game.

    The file provided in the other post does work, but for some weird reason the competition rules are changed / incomplete even though THEY APPEAR IDENTICAL to the default version in the Editor.

    Does anyone have any idea what else I could try ?

  4. I don't really know either, I removed the extra team you added because the league was showing 21 teams (if you search for it by the league name in the Competitions section and go to the Teams subsection), but because of the rule to ignore Daco-Getica it was getting verified.

    Anyway, I plan to start with database 20.1 because I like to have the original roster from the season start anyway and Daco-Getica was technically part of it (shame they withdrawn, but I could go with them in the game rather than a random team to fill to league).

    Should be fine now, but damn why would it be simple when it can be complicated :p

    LE: Tried it in the Editor, with the team you added there are actually 21 teams now for Liga II, when I removed that team I got an error again at verification that there are only 19 teams in August 2019 (facepalm).

    Ok, imma stick with the numbers 1 to 25, this is beyond me now.

    LE2: Think I finally figured it out... what happened in the Romanian Second League is that Daco-Getica has withdrawn due to financial issues around October - November, having already played up to that point, so the league has indeed started with 20 teams, but SI decided to make this situation sepparate for this season with their database specific for 2019 vs default.

    For the default competition, they have set it to the normal 20 teams, but apparently there is another rule specifically for Daco-Getica where the game is instructed to IGNORE the team, so they're at the same time in the league and also not really. Since I removed your added team, the league did indeed show 20 teams, but I think because of that sepparate rule it failed, registering only 19. After I found and deleted it the file's now verified. Too tired now and work tomorrow, but will run a holiday mode for a couple of seasons to see how it plays out in the actual game.

  6. One other thing I want to ask: in case I want to go with the unverified .xml file, what exactly would I need to edit to trick the game into thinking it's verified ? Just change the "verf" attribute from "false" to "true" ?

    Nevermind - I did that, file appears verified and can be selected, but then on the next screen the entire league option in the game setup screen is blank, dropdown and everything, can't select the tiers or anything. Back to the drawing board...

    Interesting, I just looked at this in the Editor, all leagues verified. I'm also trying to edit version 20.1 since I like to start with the original rosters from the beginning of the season. Only thing that differs from the updated database seems that in the Romanian Second League there are 20 teams for the current season (IRL one of the clubs, Daco-Getica, has withdrawn and that's why for 2019/2020 version there are 19 teams only).

    So basically if I would like to use this to fix the squad number issue without any other rule changes all I'd have to do is remove your edits ? Or are there hidden rules that have been modified and they don't show ? I only see a couple of club name changes and some changes regarding transfer prefences, is that all ?

    LE: Ah, I see now that you wanted to re-create a historic league, lots of new rules there that don't appear right away in the changelog... so I'm not sure if I could use this is a template. Guess imma have to stick with the 25 number limit...

    Or maybe another solution would be to export the unverified file as .xml ?

    Since basically the only change is the checkbox allowing squad numbers up to 99 and I don't touch any other rules do you think that might work basically as the default database ? I believe the .xml can be manually edited to appear as verified thus allowing it to be used in the game ?

    Or even with the default database that error would be popping up in the second season ?

    Btw, the highest allowed squad number is under Advanced Rules >> Fixture Rules. If you create Romania in Advanced Rules, there is a little bug in it though, check out the Advanced Rules for that one.

    Yes, I just found out about this, but I never used Advanced Rules before so I'm not sure that I'm doing things right. Basically I chose Add Nation Rules, picked Romania and went with the Add Lower Dvision, then converted to Advanced Rules to check the options there. For the Fist Division the option is ticked: max. 25 squad, max. number 99; for the Second Division - the one I want to play in, it's not - so I suppose that could be the issue. I'll try activate that and use the same registration date as the First Division, hope it doesn't break anything.

    What bug is that you mentioned ?

    I want to play with a club in the Romanian Second League, but unfortunately there is an immersion-breaking bug that limits the assigned squad numbers for registered players to 1-25 (IRL it's 1-99). In past versions when there was a registration limit for a division it took into account the players, not limiting the chosen squad numbers - this is what I would like to know if it's possible to fix via the Editor. I don't want to change any other rules, just allow numbers between 1-99 (instead of just 1-25).


    Can anyone tell me if it's possible and what I would need to do in the Editor to do this ?

  11. Hello, I have two questions:

    - I'm using this skin with the 125% zoom option on a 1920 x 1080 laptop screen and it seems the Transparent version's sidebar is actually too... transparent. Is there something I could edit to make it more opaque ? Or not-transparent ?

    - Is it possible to edit the training categories colors ? Is so, how ?

    LATER EDIT: Found the training category colors, they're specified in the fm-widgets settings.xml file in the skin's settings folder (go to line 1205).

  12. Hey, I Installed both the Standard and the Light one, after I switched to the Light version everything but the background disappeared and now the game won't load up. Sorry if this was asked before, but I went through the thread and found no solution: so what do I have to do now to get the game started (and the Light skin working) ?

    LATER EDIT: Nevermind, figured it out - you have to check what name is assigned to the Base skin (the Dark TCS basically) .xml file. Open the sking_config.xml and look for the "skin name" attribute, copy the name assigned there (in the value field) to the skin_config.xml file in the Light skin folder, save it and you're good to go.

    Couple of questions:

    - Can anybody tell me if it works / looks ok at 125% zoom level on 1920 x 1080 resolution (sidebar icons only) ?

    - On the club overview screen, is it possible to swap the Hot Prospect and Key Player sections ? What I mean is, for example, if you'd look at Barça it would make more sense to see Messi more "highlighted" there next to the manager rather than the hot prospect (or maybe the team captain, either way).

    Just started a new save and played a friendly which I won 2-1. Match stats counted 0-2 CCCs in favour of the opponents, but after the game when I went to the CCCs created / converted screen that shows 2 against / 2 converted. How is that even possible ?

    I don't really pay *that* much attention to these, at least not until a fair few matches played, but if it's already counting wrong after a single game then I don't know...

    I've already asked this in this thread - however I don't think it's particularly related to that skin, but more with the 125% zoomed-in setting I want to use. I unpacked the default panels using the Resource Archiver, I'd really appreciate it if anyone could tell me what would need to be edited there (if there is anything to be edited that controls that layout) to shrink the league table like in the attached picture. Thanks !

    So I'm still on FM 19 and using a version of this skin (best one imho) on a laptop with the 125% zoomed in option. This may be a long-shot... but by any chance does anyone know if it would be possible to shrink the league table a bit so that the screen could be better alligned and also display the highest average player for the league aswell (like it's possible for the Cup competition) ? If so, what panel would need editing ?

    Not sure exactly where to post this ... I reckon it's a bug, but maybe there's a way around it ?

    For example, I've setup 3 tactics and customized the set-pieces for all of them, on the tactic screen. However, if during a match I switch between tactics (for example, from 4-2-3-1 DM to 4-4-2), the player assignments for the set-pieces are all messed-up / swapped.

    For example, in my 4-4-2 I set my defensive center midfielder to stay back for attacking free-kicks and my forward to go (obviously) forward, but when switching to this tactic DURING a match, it's vice-versa, the forward is in the stay-back position and midfielder is up front. I noticed when my free kick taker was passing back instead of sending the ball in the box...

    It's very annoying and time-consuming because I had to manually swap them for each side (and other free-kick types - wide, deep). The routines are unchanged, just as I set them, but players are swapped.

    When I set them up I thought that any player IN THAT POSITION / ROLE is going to perform the selected instruction, I don't understand why this doesn't stick if switching tactics during a match (the players are in the right positions on the tactic overview - i.e. striker is striker, midfielder in midfield, it's just set-pieces that get screwed). Any ideas or ways around this ?
