Some from my save that I've got going in 2039.

A lot depends on what level you're at.
Scouting this year has changed a lot, but, if you put your time and effort into it, it can come up trumps.

Will probably be putting a few bits on here and elsewhere in the next few weeks.. Decided to do something, based on if the loan signings we 'made' weren't actually made.

Putting a few of mine in here from my Malta save.

Just seen something pop up in the (newer) test I'm just running on A Scotland DB. Two Hojland brothers on either side of the Old Firm 🙂

Getting the sell on is a fantastic help really, allows you to consolidate a few things, as well as build more.

Much appreciated! I wasn't sure if it was something like that or just me being a bit daft. Cheers mate!
As Freakiie says, it came too late. Our datalock was about 10 days before the Tonali ban was ratified.

I am going to start a Notts Forest save soon so it will be good to see how you manage them and also I like how you are sticking to their real life transfer policy.
You've already been pulled up on it, so thats good

Rollheiser was always one of my go to South Americans in 23, very solid player, and capable of a lot of improvement.

26/27 Season - September & October
It's been a very busy few months! I want to try and keep these updates shorter than I have been as I know what I'm writing is probably too much. So let's see the results.
Overall I have to be happy with those set of results given the sheer number of games, I am however frustrated, we are really not playing that well, we can hardly keep a clean sheet and have drawn too many games! Maybe my expectations are too high, when you drill down we have played 3 Europa League games and have gained 5 points..fantastic!
Just look badly Celtic are doing!
Then you look at the domestic results, we're into the League Cup semi where we face Rangers and in the League, yes we've drawn a few too many games but we still sit 3rd!
And only 4 points off Celtic, maybe I need to stop being so pessimistic and realise, although we aren't keeping clean sheets, we're doing so much better than anyone ever expected at this point of the save.
You posted in the right thread?

Cleons articles on Ajax have been something I keep going back to when I'm playing. Think FM24 is actually more suited to the approach you want to take here, and, its definitely something I'm going to be keeping an eye on, either here, or on VFTT

Max Robson on loan from Spurs at Boreham Wood.
Absolute machine in the Conference.

The sale is in but not expected to be completed until November 1st. There is a bug at the moment where it is showing Ron Martin and Justin Rees as Chairpeople. Being worked on.
I was going to say, I can remember seeing a comment somewhere saying that it was going to be in the finished version, as there were a couple of issues.

Most Assists - Adam Berry - the free signing from Man Utd was exceptional, not just with his 13 assists but also his 20 goals from left wing. He's currently wanted by a host of Championship clubs but we've offered him a new deal, tripling his wages.
Thats one thing I've noticed so far, is that clubs in Championship/League One are more willing to take the risk on players from Conference football compared to previous versions of FM.

Ah ok, well I have the second tier covered for the major nations and a few selected others; and I've also covered Serie C. So I can also adjust the rankings for any of these leagues. And if I stumble across someone in a competition that I haven't covered, then it should be easy enough to add them to the baseline retrospectively.
Thanks, thats what I was thinking, especially with you commenting earlier that you weren't going to go for the highest level of player available.

So, assuming a PL Striker has a weighting of 1.00, and a Championship one, a .90 (for example), do you take that into consideration before applying the national weighting when comparing to a Spanish based player.

You mean dividing the attribute splits between the positions? Thinking perhaps that certain leagues will tend to produce better defenders and therefore it's better a better market?
It's possible to do that but it does add workload to creating the baseline. Even just splitting by 'keepers, defenders, midfielders and strikers quadruples the effort. Splitting by sides adds again etc etc. For me, the effort would outweigh the benefit.
I was thinking more in terms of comparing a Serie B player to a Serie A player, and a Premier League player to a Championship one (or similar). How much of a difference does the level of a play have in the overall weighting compared to the national weightings?

Going back to nationalities you see coming through youth intakes, I've got a Brazilian CB come through my intake in the Conference.

Does it not feel a bit like cheating atm with all this Saudi offers? And all this players who go there are lost for the game because no way can anyone pay that wages. IDK, needs to be toned down a bit. Like maybe only offer big money for former world class level players and not some full backs from Championship, no?
Like, managing ManUtd, I got transfer budget of 68mil, and was thinking there is a tough job rebuilding with that..but then I just cashed in on Varane and Casemiro for a combined 154mil.. feels to easy.
Its only similar to what FM has had in the past, especially when the Chinese Super League started paying silly money for players.

Love the way this is beginning to look., As long as you stick to your own rules when running the numbers, especially when it involves an unplayable league, then, things should work.
As for the 'weighting', I take it that you're using the overall average to work that out, although, does the division of players you're looking at add another variable to look into as well?
