  2. Zeeriboy whilst I have little doubt in believing you are observing some of the real flaws in the game, the story you have concocted to go with them is absurd
  3. I don't see any of the problems you see My main gripe with FM 14 tactics is that after trying so hard to eliminate "super-tactics" from eg FM12 there is now 1 super tactic that nearly every successful AI and human team uses
  4. This is my least favourite thing about FM. Basically every real player with non-perfect mental stats or who gets any injuries is basically in absolute free-fall by about 2 years in, whereas you can use tutoring to raise legions of robotically perfect newgens. It spoils the game and I don't understand how people enjoy their long-term games when it is all set up to hand it to you on a plate (although it does mean I respect people who achieve crazy things after decades and decades)
  5. That doesn't meant you couldn't convince him to stay from a game design point of view, it means he isn't interested in staying! (in light of the other clubs interest) There is absolutely nothing wrong here at all. If a club makes an offer that meets a release clause you CAN offer a new contract if player is willing to stay. They don't just automatically leave. In your case they left because they were so set on leaving to City and their cash. You could offer a new contract before the Man City offer as City wasn't a tangible comparator for the player at the time.
  6. I prefer to play save games where I am at a level where I only survive by picking up players released by their clubs. With the real life players I can often make a story to explain why they are released, as even IRL you see a lot of players released you perhaps wouldn't expect. But with the newgens it really feels like it is just random. Top scorer? released. Promising youngster? Released. I'm not saying it is a fault in the game, just that the enjoyable mystery or fantasy element is gone for me with the newgens. It feels like cheating to pick them all up for free in a way it doesn't with the real players. I think it is linked to how real players decline so much, even 2 or 3 years in game some ex-EPL players are literally hopeless, whereas the impression I get is that newgens either don't make their potential or reach it and stay there forever (again not necessarily true)
  7. Completely wrong you can't buy players. True you can't buy established world class players cheap but this is realistic. It isn't just regens or in future but quite standard. Even day one you can only pay lots of money or buy players who are unhappy or out of favour. I do get bored without real players, but it has nothing to do with transfer market. There is something about the decline of real players to the point that after a few years of game time there is literally no point in buying any other than to tutor your NEWgens that makes me sad and want to stop game.
  8. When you have a profile saved, that comes up as your default manager ID at the beginning of each game, I would like the option to use as your starting reputation, instead of the preset "international footballer" or "sunday league footballer", the option to take "Reputation from save game X" also containing that profile. Of course no history in terms of teams managed and dates would be brought over, as that would cause conflicts with the new game, just the exact database number for the reputation (or the 3 different reputations? Local continental worldwide or whatveer they are). I think this would bring a lot more variety into starting a new game, as just now Sunday league footballer is broken as you sometimes get offered jobs from SPL and so on, when you should be struggling to get BSN BSS jobs. As well as bringing in more variety, it also allows players to import their "character" in terms of their reputation building, with the actual dates and histories written off as a necessary loss of the process. Players can build up their manager's reputation, but if finding themselves disillusioned in the year 2030 with all fake players, can reset the game world but keep the abstract data of their reputation, meaning they can be the same manager at least in the sense of angling for the same jobs, but back with familiar players. I think its a stroke of genius personally. Whether isolated data could be brought over in terms of trophies won, as in entries into the gold, silver, bronze columns without any actual histroy to accompagny them, well that could be good too if possible without breaking it.
  9. No. The value is an estimate based on things like reputation and contract duration. It doesn't mean market value, which is what someone is willing to pay or what owning club would accept. This would fluctuate wildly every day, especially during windows. "Unrealistic transfers" filter is on the part of the player, not the club.
  10. Are you playing old version of game? That was bug soon after release gone now
  11. In Scotland League 2 teams always accept £0 for their players with < 6 months on contract. No matter I am 2nd in league and top team has a player with 20 goals in 21 games, I bid £0, accepted. They would wait until summer not lose to rival in jan. Any player, always accepted sortitoutsi
  12. After international match - International duty ends then - remove all players > cannot remove so close to fixture once international duty has ended you should be able to remove all players from national squad, or else the duty hasn't really ended! You have to wait one or two clicks of continue to remove them. Not a big deal but a little silly

  14. See crowd in 2d mode. Why empty stands? Are fans paper thin to look down on? Not good detail just os you can see how busy
