The problem seem to be related to selected monitor technology. This you will find on Nvidia Control Panel
I have a G-Sync monitor, so that's what i run on standard. After changing the selected monitor technology from "G-SYNC" to "Fixed Refresh" the game seems to run perfectly smooth without lag at any point really.
It appears to be some issues with G-Sync compatibility and this game in particular.
