  1. I have had an idea about how it may be possible in the future to have an editor for FMT games on the PC.

    We know that there is a difference in the databases between full FM and FMT, for example less staff as we can only ahve a single ass man, scout and physio.

    So would it be possible to only have a single database and on creation of a savegame modify the data in the database to make it suitable for FMT like removing any extra detail that isn't needed and only keep the main staff at the clubs?

    That may mean researchers will have to highlight the ass man/coach, head physio and cheif scout with HoY. Then those staff members are kept and most of te others are removed.

    I made counter attacking 442, at least I'm trying to make it :D

    Preseason went very well, but lost my first competitive match due to 2 goals from crosses, which I simply can't stop on this FM, and I tried everything.

    Only TI's are exploiting the flanks, as I want that main orgaisers of counter to be wingers. Hence I play with two wingers, both on support duty.

    Been thinkering with the two forwards. At first I though that I will use advanced forward, and deep lying one on support. But I wasn't happy with advanced forward due to him seem to be isolated most of the times. So I'm thinking of complete forward on support, as I have player who can play that role.

    Will see how that goes.

    This is kind of what I'm running for most games with AF and usualy a DF-s. It seems more effective then when I put my DLF in there. I have run a DLF-s and DF-s at the same time once or twice and I'll probably try that again against the bigger club.

    I do also use the Slightly Deeper TI to try and tempt the opposition in.

    I use CM-d and BWM-s in the middle, the BWM supports attacks but rarely gets into the box so when I get a player good enough for the role I'll change it to BBM. I do have a playmaker I put in against "weaker" opponents or bring on when I think I need a little more creativity in the centre of the park.

  3. If i tick exploit the middle does this have any effect on my narrowness? ie does it make my team play narrower? if this is the case, would clicking exploit middle and play wider counteract this?

    The good thing about FM16 is that on the TI screen if one setting makes changes to another you can visualy see it. On the width setting if you change the mentality you can see the number of available options change.

    I can't recall if exploiting the middle changes the width setting, if it does then you'll see the width settings change or the number of options change. I strongly suspect not.

  4. My fullbacks seem to get me into a lot of problems by, instead of tackling or playing zone, they just run right past the winger when he comes running towards them with the ball.

    They look like my four year old son..Any way to stop this?

    Too high closing down, tight marking or perhaps manually set man marking setting on players other than the wingers.

  5. Another suggestion is for individual training.

    I have an older left back who thinks that the level of training is too high, perhaps his zimmer frame can't handle it. Anyway how about being able to drop the intenisty of their general training in the individual training screen? Think of it as the Ledley King's dodgy knee setting.

    As well as older players who can't train as heavily as the young players, it could be useful for those players with lower Stamina and/or Natural Fitness. I have a good DC that I have to rotate out ore often then I would like or sub during a game as his condition was too low. I could set his training a little lower so he recovers more at a potenital cost of him not progressing as fast as he would have.

  6. I'd like to have the ability to offer youth players (16 and under) pre-contract agreements. Whenever I offer them contacts there seems to be no option to add a professional deal, they're youth contracts only.

    When the player turns 17 there is a new item that says they've signed a new contract but they always seem to be non-contract players, which risks losing them if they're no longer willing to talk about a new contract.

  7. I've just come across a very unusal formation from the AI that literally tore my team apart.

    It was a narrow 4-2-3-1 with 2 CM and 3 AMCs. My defence and midfield just couldn't handle it. I deliberatly moved from my 4-4-2 to a 4-5-1 with AMR/L that I've had set up for a while, so the team is Accomplished/fluid at it. I tried to push up and play narrow to try to compress the play, but the AMCs drifted out wide to give them width. I struggled to focus down the flanks and tried to pass into spce in the hopes of bypassing the congested midfield.

    Any suggestions about what to do if the Ai throws the damned thing at me again?
