  1. Hello there, I'd like to express my gratitude for your time and attention to this thread. To begin, let me introduce myself as BozeWolf on Steam. I'm playing FM since the day it was called "Championship Manager"and it's been quite a remarkable journey. I consider myself a veteran in the FM series, having dedicated countless hours to both creating my own tactics and appreciating the tactics shared by the community. I'd like to extend my thanks to everyone who's been involved in helping others – let's keep that spirit alive. What is my goal/purpose: I'm mentioning my background because, in recent years, I've found it increasingly challenging to discover the right tactics. Many of us struggle to find a tactic that works well with top-tier teams or smaller ones. We're constantly on the lookout for the ultimate tactic, often resorting to buying top players to make a tactic effective. The aim of this discussion is to change that narrative. We want to enjoy the game to the fullest, striving for that ultimate "plug and play" tactic where we can focus on other things while playing the game, without overthinking. This tactic may be the solution we're looking for, but it will require your input and care to improve further. The journey begins here, so let's dive into the tactic and its details. Results: Almeria - media predicition 16 - 2x place 4 Man City - media prediction 1 - place 1 Redbull Leipzig - Media prediction 3 - place 1 Las Palmas - media prediction 20 - place 4 Genoa - media predicition 19 - place 2 Tactic explained: There are two versions of this tactic: one designed for top-tier teams like Manchester City, Arsenal, Barcelona, Real Madrid, Liverpool, Bayern Munich, PSG for example. 4-3-3 dm Wolf's Enterprise v1.10 Topteam Attack.fmf And he other for subtop, midtable, or underdog teams such as Leipzig, Twente, AZ, Tottenham, Newcastle, Real Sociedad, and similar clubs. 4-3-3 dm Wolf's Enterprise v1.10 positive.fmf You may wonder if I've had less-than-ideal results in the past, and the answer is yes. It happened when I attempted to use an attack-oriented mentality with subtop and underdog teams. Unfortunately, this approach didn't yield the desired outcomes due to the disparity in player quality. Set Pieces: I've incorporated the file(FM24BETA) from KNAP's thread because it appears that he may have found a superior one compared to what I had initially. Although I haven't noticed significant differences between the two, it might be worth examining more closely at a later time. Make sure A1, with corners is filled up by a decent header. FM24BETA.fmf Why do I mention this?: It's a straightforward adjustment: you can switch the mentality from "attack" to "positive" or vice versa. However, this change significantly impacts the role of your wingbacks, which, in turn, affects the overall team performance. This factor is pivotal, especially when dealing with specific teams. For instance, deploying an attacking mentality with a relegation-bound team is a recipe for disaster. Your defenders are far from world-class, and using this approach would lead to conceding goals frequently. It's essential to keep in mind that we're not working with 4 or 5-star players in terms of current ability at this stage. How do I identify a team as Topteam/Midtable or Underdog: You can identify this in a couple of ways, with the most important ones described below. I'm not here to debate whether I'm right or wrong; this is simply my approach. Number 1: media prediction, when you add a manager and have to pick your team. You can see the media prediction on the top. If you are in a game already, you can go to season preview. Number 2: Step 1: Go to your squad Step 2: Press on he TAB highlighted here. And make sure to click on General info. Now we can see the current ability and potential ability Step 3: click on current ability. In this case you can see we don't have world-class players yet but potential world-class players. So my advice would be here to play positive mentality. How to pick/select your team: Pick your team always with the highest abilities, as this is what your team make perform. If you don't know who to place where or who to pick. Use the "quick pick" option. My advise would be always double check it after though. Sometimes it needs a change for the better outcome of the tactic. Tactic in detail described by position: this is something for later. Results by playing the games without holidays: (online session, 2 players) Almeria - Media Prediction 16th - positive mentality First Season: place 4, UCL Second season: again place 4 more goals and more points + UCL, you can see we are improving! (better players bought) Tactic used on holidays: Manchester City - media predication 1 - attack mentality Genoa - Italy - Media prediction 19 - Positive Mentality Las Palmas - Spain - media Prediction 20 - Positive Mentality RB Leipzig - Germany - Media prediction 3 -Positive Mentality Final Word: Thank you once more! If you have any questions, feel free to ask them, or you can reach out to me on Steam. Don't forget to leave a comment if this tactic proved effective for you, and, most importantly, share your results. I'm always open to advice, tips, and tricks if you've made any improvements. So we can help each other. Enjoy the game!
