  1. *awaits download link patiently* This Scarborough Athletic save has been in the planning for far too long!
  2. So often have I found myself not being able to do what I want to do with tactics. In real life now, the majority of teams are adaptable to any situation, and have a style that's so intricately designed it's not able to be replicated in FM16. I would like to see a set of sliders or something of the nature to allow us to say things along the line of "don't close down until opposition are within 30 yards of the goal" or "don't shoot from these areas" etc. Obviously it's unrealistic to expect it for FM17 - but i'd really like to see something like this implemented, it's something that could really propel the game to the next level of realism.

  4. Happy Christmas Everyone! I'm glad everyone's saves are going really well. Hope you feel better soon, JDD. I'll probably start this save after the "big" patch now - FM16 has been a really poor FM for me, I've struggled for motivation to play it and results when I do play it.
  5. Thanks for continuing this vikeologist When I get the game; I will have to try this again and finally complete my own challenge!
  6. I'm really starting to regret updating to Windows 10 now. 3 times I've tried to start one and 3 times it's crashed! Just gonna give up trying to attempt it now until FM16... Which hopefully will have functioning Windows 10 support! (YAY!) Loving reading all the stories guys :3
  7. I've only just noticed this, because I'm slow at noticing things. However, this is great Let's hope some names can be added!
  8. Teased you too long with the film thing I think xD In the end I guess it was quite weak but it was the "This is the truth" line from the teen film everybody loved (lolz) The Fault in our stars.
  9. Just reading through the thread... damn! You guys are doing well (Especially vikeologist, ripping it up! ) I've finally found the time to start to take this challenge on properly anyway, so I will be a lot more active around here!
  10. Guys i'm so happy you are all enjoying the thread and challenge I came up with I never expected as many people to attempt the challenge as they did and wow, thanks guys To clear up confusion a couple pages back regarding domestic cups, As long as the top division teams can enter, (For example, Capital One Cup and FA Cup, NOT Johnstones Paint Trophy or FA Trophy) - They can count towards your domestic cup total.
  11. So I made a custom background in photoshop, the correct size etc. - However, I do not know where I would place the background to get it to be my background in game? Any help is massively appreciated!
  12. So glad you're enjoying it! This year, my FM seems far too unstable to last 10 years! I'm giving it another go though,
  13. The Extreme Journeyman Welcome to my latest challenge, the extreme journeyman. All will be explained. Below. Scroll. Scroll Now. Premiership (England) La Liga (Spain) Bundesliga (Germany) Ligue 1 (France) Serie A (Italy) Primeira Liga (Portugal) Eredivise (Netherlands) Jupiler Pro League (Belgium) Raiffeisen SL (Switzerland) Russian League (America... lol jk Russia) You must start at one of these 10 teams: Burnley (Difficulty: 4/5 - Tough league, poor squad, poor budgets.) Getafe CF (Difficulty: 2/5 - Not much strength in the league and a solid squad.) SC Paderborn (Difficulty: 3/5 - Not a great squad, and not great budgets, not as tough as Burnley, becuase the league is weaker.) RC Lens (Difficulty: 5/5 - Out of depth almost in the league, Amazing youth facilities will help!) Empoli (Difficulty: 3/5 - Serie A. Just Serie A. Tough league, tough team.) Sp. Charleroi (Difficulty 2/5 - Solid league, good mid table battle with lots of similar teams!) Penafiel (Difficulty 5/5 - Not the strongest league but the team is poor and the budgets non-existent!) Excelsior (Difficulty: 2/5 - Fun strong relegation scrap! Various teams similar in the Dutch division!) FC Vaduz (Difficulty: 3/5 - Lichestienien team in the Swiss league, could be a fun challenge!) Arsenal Tula (Difficulty: 4/5 - Strict league rules, poor squad and poor budget. Makings of a right scrap!) The worst team, in the respective division. You may spend no more than 7 seasons at the first club, and from then on, you must move clubs every 3 years, or when you complete that country. To complete that country, you have to win the league and a cup with that club. To fully complete the challenge, you will have at least 10 Domestic League Titles, 10 Domestic Cups and 5 Champions Leagues. The idea is to journeyman around, not really settling at a club and doing amazingly well in limited times. It reflects how management is now, always chopping and changing! If your computer cannot cope with loading in all 10 leagues, feel free to chop and change. However, no more leagues should be added playable other than the top 10 nations' leagues. Any database you like, but, if you cheat, you only cheat yourself. I Personally, I will be doing this as a Fifa and FM Challenge, at the same time, starting as FC Vaduz Reputation must start as Sunday League Footballer, with No Coaching Badges on FM. For Fifa, World Class difficulty and Leinient board. Enjoy the challenge!
  14. Been quite ill in the past couple of weeks so had a bit of time on FM! Glad to see people doing well! I resigned at Gjovik Lyn following a dispute with the board, it's quite bad as I had just put together the best side in the league by far! And under wages! They sold my best player for 12k behind my back. I resigned and after 42 days joined Hereford. In a transition period with them but hopefully, we can get playoffs and who knows, promotion?
  15. Well. I managed to complete season one in Norway It was a long, hard and ultimately disappointing campaign as we finished 8th I have made lots of recruitments though and i'm looking forward to season 2 more!
  16. By Top League I meant a premier division from any country around the world So SPL, MLS, even Peru! And Full Fat FM, but it doesn't matter if you do FMC.
  17. Nice! Good Luck I started at Gjovik-Lyn in Norway! - They were 5th when I took over and need a respectable league position. I only have a contract until December 2014 so I think, unless it goes really well, I could be out of a job as soon as I was in one!
  18. The Ultimate Football Manager Challenge “It’s kind of fun to do the impossible” – Walt Disney You are an ordinary 20 year old lad, played Football Manager all your youth lives and enjoyed a good kickabout as much as the next person, that just isn’t the truth. This is the truth. You played for your local Sunday League team, well played and managed! But, your family uproots you to (Insert Country You Get Here) and your life is upside down! You are not good enough to get a gig in this new country, so you turn to management. The Rules: Start Unemployed Sunday League Reputation No Coaching Badges Stats must start in the middle and not adjusted. Your manager must be 20 years old. No additional languages (as they can REALLY help ) You MAY have attribute masking on, as I don't like the scouting system as it can be impossible to find players. Just this once though Competitions you must win to win the challenge Leagues La Liga (Spain) Premier League (England) Bundesliga (Germany) Ligue 1 (France) Serie A (Italy) AND 5 OTHER TOP LEAGUES. Champions Leagues Champions League (Europe) Champions League (Asia) Copa Libertadores (South America) NACL (North American Champions League) ACL (Africa Champions League) International Tournemants UEFA Euros (Europe) AFC (Asian Cup Of Nations) Copa America (South America) Gold Cup (North America) ACON (African Cup Of Nations) FIFA World Cup Confederations Cup Others: 10 Domestic Cups required (Where Top Level Teams can Enter) FIFA Club World Cup You may incorporate different challenges into this save! For example, the 1,000 goal challenge. Thank you, and good luck with the challenge! Oh and there is a sneaky reference to a film in there. Anyone who gets it is a legend
  19. Are Scarborough Athletic in the right leagues to be promoted?
  20. best and most realistic to happen idea i've seen on here. Make it happen Miles!
  21. I tried changing to a 2 striker formation with a False nine and an advanced forward, with one Left Winger and a Right midfielder in a lop sided 4-1-3-2 I guess you could call it xD and it worked wonders!
  22. Yeah FM15 mate. More #SweatyGoals needed as the fifa community would put it.
  23. The lone striker is on Attack as he is an Advanced Forward Cleon. And RTHerringbone - They 100% do. Angel Di Maria (One of the worlds top players ) Had Antonio Valencia (Ronaldo's "Replacement") in support across the edge of the box. All he had to do was slide it across and it was a tap in for Valencia. It is usually the Wingers that take the shots. They also shoot from lots more crossing situations when they are in the box on the edge.
