Hi, i was playing fm 2020, just restarted the system, now i get "the server is not reachable. check your internet connection and click "Retry"" message and can't launch the game. I can launch other steam games.
If i click next, it redirects me to a "codefusion" site asking me to copy and paste some messages. Why should i do that? I don't know that site.
What is this all about? I was in the game a few minutes ago and then what happened suddenly?
I see some recent threads about the same issue but they are locked without any useful information. There is no solution in the sega support site which you ask us to look at.

A small detail in FM20. I made a bid for a player and it's accepted. If i tell my DOF to hand over negotiations, the message in my inbox turns "delayed" on the right hand corner. When i handle negotitations myself, it turns "contract offered".
DOF takes much better contract than me and i don't want any trouble completing the deal. Does it make any difference?

Yeah, indeed
I realised that and came back to correct my post but you have already noticed. I have never seen it as a heading all this time as it was the same font. Injury rehab, set pieces and attributes are headings as nothing pops up when you move the mouse on them.

He had already been in general rehab training before the latest injury. I have never seen the "injury rehab" option activated. It's always greyed out, even after 6-8 months injuries. I guess it's about the rehabilitation phase of a long term injury and can't be selected manually. Only general rehab is activated and the player takes it now.

We'd be interested in investigating large drops in Acceleration for non-significant hamstring injuries though, if people have examples.
I would investigate the attribute drop if it would increase back or not but the player had another hamstring strain injury in training just after he returned to full training. He seems to be in some kind of a loop. Hamstring strain (3 weeks), pulled hamstring (11 days), hamstring strain (3 weeks) in 3 months time.
I'm pretty sure 5 points drop was after the pulled hamstring injury and in head physio's report he says "there is no indication this will cause any problems in the future" but it caused a huge drop.
Now when he returns back again, i will set the training intensity manually and try to break the loop. We will see if his acceleration will increase back to normal but I am not optimistic about it. It seems like a permanent drop.

My 27 years old player also had a pulled hamstring injury after being tackled in a match and his acceleration dropped 5 points from 16 to 11 suddenly. I haven't seen this before but there are many similar threads, all hamstring injuries.
No other physical attribute, including pace, is affected. So, is this a known bug or something? Even horrible injuries don't cause a drop this much.

Just an update. This is exactly the same in FM19. You can't get past a man, opposition gets stuck in, makes lots of successfull sliding tackles, systematic fouls and not punished by the referee. You can't exploit spaces, as opposition defender gets the ball first. You can't hold on to the ball, again sliding tackles. You can't go to the byline and cross, all blocked. Your world class players run to the opponent and then suddenly stop, oppositon defenders bump the ball forward.
Wide or narrow, with amc or without, stuck in or stay on feet, direct or patient... It doesn't make any difference. Especially if it heavy rains, i get no chance. Very limited games with no real highlights. It's like a battle rather than a football match.
Thinking of how possesion based teams suffer against defensive play, especially in recent years, i have to accept it as it is. But i have no problem opening the park the bus defences but this 4-2-3-1 Wide and 4-2-3-1DM Wide. Anyway, it happens. Not this frequent and obvious but it happens.

Moderator tells it does matter in this thread. Probably it depends on many factors (like everything in the game) like coach's quality, facilities, workloads, player and coach reputations, player's training quality etc.
Sometimes when the traits are recommended via player development advice report by staff, i just accept without choosing the coach and after a while player learns successfully.
I have also seen some traits ended without success and then completed successfully in the second try.
So, i also think it matters and i guess they wouldn't give us a chance to select the coach otherwise.

Allright, nothing changes. He has been granted a full work permit after contract renewal with 6K/w.
There is no 8K minimum wage limit for foreign players signed before brexit.

Hi,
I got the 17 foreign players scenario with the 8000 pounds/week limit to play in EPL. I have a Spanish youngster signed before brexit and he had been given automatically "home grown nation" status that time as i signed him before brexit. His wage is 2.4K/w and now asking for a new contract. I can give him a new contract with 6K/w.
Now after the contract renewal with 6K/w, as it is below 8K, will he suddenly loose his work permit and be ineligable for first team matches? Or will he keep playing as he was signed before brexit?
Rule says "foreign player already at British clubs will be exempt until they change clubs". Is this the same for contract renewal? Will i be able to play him after new contract with 6K/w?

This happened exactly the same way like in FM17. Situation didn't change for FM18.

Seriously, playing against this formation will drive me crazy. Just locks the game. No highlight, no chances, match time flows away. My team suddenly become juniors trying to get the ball from seniors up high. Even when the opposition is 10 men. Nothing in tactic even changes things a little bit. This is the special weapon of the AI.
Exploit the middle, wide shape, look for underlap, get stuck in, using AMC seem to work for me sometimes but next time i face against this formation, it probably won't work again.

I am talking about something else here. Worthless players exceeding their limits and they never can in any other tactic except this one. Also my passing gets ridiculous for no reason. When i watch the full match, my players are like paralysed and they seem like they don't know what to do, making wrong decisions unlike against any other tactic. I totally dominate all but not this one.

Exactly like in FM17, playing against 4-2-3-1 Wide is still cracking my nerves this year. No matter who or how strong the opposition is, if they use this tactic, they manage to create problems for me. Not i lose many games, as my team is much stronger in the league, but my team's performance significantly decrease against 4-2-3-1 wide. I usually outclass all the tactics except this one with full domination and around 25-30 chances created. No other tactic, including full defensive ones, cause this dropdown in my performance. I watched full matches to solve this problem and tried many variations but not many things change.
I play possesion based 4-3-3 and opposition press higher up the pitch to interrupt my build up. If i manage to get out of the press, they run back and hold their defensive line deeper again. The difference against this tactic is, my quality players act like idiots and can't move the ball up the field easily (they normally do it so easy) and all opposition's below avarage players suddenly become N'golo Kante. They get stuck in and get the ball. When they have the ball, they play anti-football, keep the ball and suddenly play a perfect cross field ball to the wingers. Wingers go to the byline and cross the ball. Sometimes they score.
I tried direct tactics but my passing again gets ugly if i play more direct. Opposition gets the ball easier. Their defensive line is deeper. If i try to dribble against this well organised shape they get the ball again like world class defenders.
Anyway this is not the tactics forum but i wonder if you also feel this way against this tactic or is this just the negative of my possession based tactic? If so, why my performance always drops without exception.
It of course doesn't make sense but it feels like AI gets extra bonus with this tactic and my performance drops by default.

The player came back to the legends the next season just after clinching the title but he is dropped to the icons again in the end of the season after the champions league final. Weird.
By the way he was once again "fans player of the season" consecutively.

Yeah, I have seen several examples of players disappeared from favoured personnel list on the right but i have also never seen a legend dropped.
To be clear, i reloaded to the day he is dropped and tried a few times. He was dropped to the bottom of the icons in every try.

No, i am pretty sure. He was on top of the legends, now he is at the bottom of icons.
Also, as you know, in reports of a player it says "fans have great affinity towards player" for the fan favourite special players. Now it also turned to "fans really like the player".

My captain, who has been a club legend for years, suddenly dropped to the end of icons list for no reason. Not a big deal but interesting for me.
He has just won "fan's player of the year" award as he did in the past several years with excellent consistent performances. He won world golden ball and world player of the year awards several times. He shines in important matches and he has just been the player of the match in Champion's League final as we won it again. The next day suddenly he is dropped to the end of club icons list. Age 28.
Why does it happen? How does it work? Don't you think at least a reasonable explanation needed? As i can't find any reason for this to happen.

I see a lot of bugs or mistakes being explained away as "well it happens in real life" and it seems a poor excuse from a fan base willing to accept that some part of the game (very very few from my experience) are broken.
I tried to help beginning from the basic steps of defining the problem but it has no use. You are right, this has nothing to do with "in real life" thing. Board approved the new stadium and you must at least have a feedback even it is no success.
I think the best thing you can do is opening your own thread in the bugs forum. You are an experienced user, you may upload your save and get one-on-one help there.

I didn't mean "can you request a new stadium". There is a list above showing status of board requests, starting and completion dates. Facilities, expansions, affiliate negotiations are all there. Is "build a new stadium" in the list?
Anyway, it may be a bug as stated above.

Do you have a "build new stadium" under the board requests status area with started and completion dates? There must be something there with the status of "planning". It turns to "in progress" when building starts.
Planning is usually 2-3 years but they may get permisson to build after 1 year and construction is usually 2 years.
Saving the game after the last season of the match and reloading may also change the decision. Sometimes construction begins, sometimes not. It changes everytime you reload.

This is really interesting. My level of discipline attribute is also 22 in FM20.
