  1. Nantwich Town 2023/24 National League North It was a case of fifth time lucky as Nantwich who were beaten in the playoff final last season finally sealed promotion to the National League. it's yet to be seen how the club will deal with promotion as we are currently up to our eyes in debt and barely treading water. Stadium expansion costs are quite expensive , just to meet league requirements and will take along time to pay for itself due to the fact we only get around 450 at a game. 2. Nantwich Town 2022/23 National League North Statistically the season will go down as an improvement though that will offer skant consolation following defeat to Tamworth in the Playoff Final. Despite the lofty finish it was really a season of turmoil and one where i was getting close to getting the boot for losing the dressing room following a series of heated battles with key players over poor performances and underachievement as the club were 12th up to mid October. The fixture list where i played three of the bottom four in a row aided my turnaround though it was never going to be enough to catch champions Macclesfield Town as they lead throughout. In the playoffs a 116th minute winner from substitute Emmanuel Adebiyi saw off Harrogate Town in front of a record crowd but losing the decider. Due to club finances which are now starting to get worrying i have not yet been able to obtain any coaching qualifications League Playoff Tree Squad Transfers Finances Season Awards Best XI Season League Position Achievements ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2019/20 National League North 16th 2020/21 National League North 6th Lost in Playoffs 2021/22 National League North 5th Lost in Playoffs 2022/23 National League North 3rd Lost in Playoffs
  3. Nantwich Town 2021/22 National League North Following on from defeat in last season's playoffs Nantwich Town once again proved to be one of the better sides within the division but still lacking a little quality in certain areas to make a title challenge . Another bash at the playoffs was on the cards following a fifth place finish . Once again we were pitted against Telford in the playoffs with the Shropshire side gaining revenge for last season's defeat. Nantwich will once again ply their trade within the National League North. In the cups there was some success followings wins over Marine , Sutton Coldfield and York City the club qualified for the First round of the FA Cup before been hammered by Port Vale at Vale Park, Progress was made within the FA Trophy which brought some much needed coin to the club but eventually were beaten at the semi final stages by Macclesfield Town, League Playoff Tree Squad Transfers Finances Season League Position Achievements ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2019/20 National League North 16th 2020/21 National League North 6th Lost in Playoffs 2021/22 National League North 5th Lost in Playoffs
  4. Nantwich Town 2020/21 National League North Following last season's 16th place certain elements of the system were not working , most noticeably the woeful defense. A couple of tweaks to improve team shape and most of the side signed up for another year , a complete new defense was added to try aid Nantwich Town as they faced their second season within the National League North. Things were slow at the start before Nantwich found themselves within the playoff positions from early November although like other miles behind leaders Stockport County who would go on to claim the title at a canter. As the months rolled on Nantwich proved themselves to be a capable side though probably playoffs but even the most ardent fans wouldn't back them to get through the playoff system. Any hope faded actually on the day where playoffs we confirmed , league top scorer Daniel Griffiths would be ruled up to two months with an ankle injury . A 2-0 win against Telford United in the playoffs before going out to Kidderminster Harriers. Finances League Table Playoff Tree Squad Transfers
  5. Nantwich Town 2019/20 A solid yet unspectacular debut season within the National League North saw Nantwich meet board expectations by avoiding relegation. With a chronic lack of depth within the squad and financially hamstrung The Dabblers relied heavily on strike duo Tinashe Chakwana and Marcus Dinanga to maintain a place above the drop zone. Trying to pick up Dinanga when his contract expires with Burton Albion is high on the priority list alongside fixing the woeful defense . With 76 goals conceded the club ranked 4th from bottom within the division. Season Review Finances Transfers
  6. An injury time header which led to a home defeat against CASHPOINT Altach has potentially sent the title to Salzburg. Die-Hards would point out 2 of the remaining 3 fixtures against RB Salzburg are indeed in Vienna. In Europe , victories over Shakhtar ensured European football in the new year but after drawing Barcelona it's not expected to last long
  7. Young Talent currently elsewhere within the A-Bundesliga
  8. Mauled in Munich , a lucky win over the Arsenal - defeat in Salzburg . It's definitely Red Bull on Pole
  9. Piedl departs for Mainz £5.5m potentially rising to £7m which would match Ljubicic's club record fee. Gaudino , Köpke and Cataldi sign on Austrian Transfer Window - Red Bull Salzburg again with the big money activity but several of the smaller clubs have made some interesting signings this summer The European Campaign will once again be a game of chasing shadows
  10. A season where Red Bull Salzburg massively under-performed , Rapid went on to stroll to a second successive league title . A 2-0 win over Kapferberger saw Rapid claim their first ÖFB Cup since 1995 The real part of the challenge now begins with trying to raise the status of Austrian Football within Europe. The first increase coming this season moving above Denmark and now have an automatic spot within the Champions League. A-Bundesliga Team of Year - (a more balanced side this season which is good for the league as a whole.) Tactically still not happy, tinkering all the time trying to find an identity and how i like to see football played. Outside the Wien derby and the games against RB Salzburg the league isn't the greatest tactical test but will see how this current iteration fairs in Europe next season and how many minor tweaks are made due to incoming players in the summer
  11. Transfer Record broken as Hinteregger signs on . Mraz also joins up with Die Grün-Weißen as manager hints of formation changes , 442 now looking most probable following a mid season tour . Red Bull Salzburg splash out on Focket
  12. Unbeaten domestically everything should in theory be rosy but there are elements of my system which are clearly not working and solutions have so far proved more square peg in round hole. The Winter Tour of Ireland will be used to bed in a new system , potentially 3-5-2 . Board have made £20m available so its time to see if they follow suit once the spending commences. Europe was quick and painless but given the group i was in, nothing was really expected.
  13. Yeah there is that - CL is going as expected - League I've had a few very poor results but RB Salzburg have so far let me off the hook.
  14. A very quite transfer window see Ljubicic Premier League bound for club record fee . Peter Brlek and Filip Đuričić arrive . Red Bull Salzburg take stock and are extremely quite . Austria Wien the biggest spenders of the window Champions League Group is
