[Conceding Lots of Goals from Corners]

Just went back onto the game for the first time in weeks, changed my tactic completely. Tried out a low block with volantes, thought it might be interesting. Conceded two goals from corners straight away, then finally pulled one back in the second half and lost 2-1. No idea at all if the tactic was to blame. That's me done with this FM I think, I get no enjoyment out of it at all...

I have the same issue - drove me insane a few FM's ago and is back with a vengeance in FM24

 

Makes a mockery of the whole tactical setup, no matter what style of play I choose most of the time I'm trying to defend against throw ins and corners. Every team plays like prime Stoke. Dreadful.

This game is broken, and I think SI have already moved onto FM25 and given up on it

I genuiney think 50-60% of goals I score or concede are set pieces. SI probably look at their stats for direct goals from set pieces and think everything is great, but most goals are from the second phase of set pieces - players outside the box on corners, throw ins taken short, played back, then played into the box. Penalties given from set pieces.

This happens a LOT to me too. One single hoof from the goalkeeper can split open my defence with amazing predictability.

I've tried a deeper defensive line, offside traps, higher defensive line, normal defensive line. Three at the back, four at the back. Putting a DM in front of the back four does seem to help win the aerial balls a bit more, but doesn't stop them entirely.

 

It's just like your defenders switch off and let the strikers through on goal. To be fair, since one-on-ones are still broken the strikers miss most of these chances anyway, but it's ridiculous nonetheless.
