To get 8 from 12 though is a pretty good month, even if you are playing badly.

Hoping for promotion, just a little bit of consistency will do it. Rooting for you AH.

£255k over what period of time?

Oh man I want to see you further up the leagues but tier 8 haunts you!
Is there any chance you could get promotion next year?0 -
I hope you somehow overachieve before the new year sacking spree and another side takes a chance on you!

What's chances of you going straight back up?

You haven't explained what happened

Yeah I think as long as you attempt the interviews with the intent on getting the job then it's fine - obviously that comes down to honesty on your part considering we can't exactly moderate your game.
Would've been nice to see where Institute took you though, reckon a quick promotion/league win if they got relegated would've made your reputation higher and from there you could've progressed easily into a better job.
KUTGW though!0 -
Staff wages are pretty high for that level as well? You might need to make some savings in the playing budget as well bring in the youth!!

How often do a tier 7 or 8 manager actually get the sack for having bad relations to the media? How much media is there really at this level? And how much money does "The Non League Paper" pay in travel expenses for Mr. Josh Hannah?
Virtually zero, but in fm terms it's hard to replicate that because the league files for these type of leagues are third party I assume.

Frickley my local side. Love the idea behind this, great read mate

I'm back home now, but I've been all over the country barring Tasmania. I'm planning on going back to University in the next 1/2 years to train as a nurse meaning I can move out there for real.
Have you thought how you'd get, say, 30 hours a week with such a limited availability? Melbourne will be full of backpackers so you're making your chances harder. Then again, I knew people who got work doing things like selling energy and the like and they earnt a fair bit of money.
Have you found a place to stay? Also have you saved up money? There is a website called transferz that's easy as hell for transfering money from Eng/Aus bank accounts and vice versa. It's £8 flat free per transaction which is a lot cheaper than banks. I've transferred over £8000 using it and its really good.
Have you looked into bank accounts? How long are you planning on staying?

Just been applying for some jobs out in Australia.
Doing what and where abouts? I've spent 2 out of the last 4 years in Australia so I'd be happy to help if you have questions.

My 4-4-2 has a playmaker on the left with a W(a) on the right. It turns into a 4-2-2-2 in attack, whilst a coherant 4-2DM-2-2 in defence.
I was curious as a player in my team is coming to the end of his career, yet he's still incredibly influential. A DLPd would allow two runners either side and an attacking playmaker further up the pitch alongside the IFa.
Sorry if that makes little sense haha.

Watch this space. I am actually using a 4-4-2 in a different save at the moment, and it's going very well..
My 4-4-2 works well, close to perfect actually.
What I meant is have you tried AP's on the wing instead of IF. I'm curious because I'd be interested to see the results.

Thank you very much - glad you found it useful!
Absolutely. You'll notice that I never, at any point, claimed that this is a plug and play tactic. That's largely due to the squad development required. To be honest, I think that's fair given the number of clubs in real life playing a Cruyff diamond In general you need lots and lots of creative, technical, hard working midfielders. Play the bigger ones with higher positioning further back and the more agile, unpredictable ones further forward.
I rarely use Hold Position. For me, maintaining the diamond is about not roaming away, so excludes "box-to-box" midfielders etc. Ven de Beek holds position but that's more so he is a close passing option for the holding midfielder and very player specific.
Here are two examples of 4-3-3s, following the same approach:
Check out the Ajax thread in the Player & Team guide forum where I talk about the tactic in more detail.
On crossing - I always want crossing. In my opinion it is a very effective way to get the ball into goalscoring positions and without it the flanks are somewhat wasted. With smaller players, I use low crossing.
What team instructions do you use with this?
I currently use a successful 4-4-2 which uses an WPa on the left wing, but with this formation you use two IFa's (Odegaard being one). How does Odegaard work in this formation? Does he still get assists? Have you tried an APa on the wing?

Personally I use it as it adds a little bit of realism to the game and means scouts are necessary. Can see why some wouldn't though.
''I wish there was an option to unmask based on your knowledge of that said country so for someone like a jose the top players would be unmasked in europe and younger players in nations such as England/Portugal etc, however south America/Africa would be masked'' - Think this is a really good idea actually.

How would you know what his consistency is like or how good he is in important matches? These are both hidden attributes. The coach report that Cleon showed of Romero also doesn't indicate any of this.
I'm sure reports can state that players dont look forward to the big games or something like that? Although I've only ever found that in youth or those in the lower leagues.

Off topic, but it's surprising that you use Will Hughes as a B2B. How does he get on?

Pizza delivery driving tonight. More money than working in a pub so I cut my shifts down to two there and took three on in a pizza shop, as well as my teaching. Will probably bring home £80-90 tonight which isn't bad at all for what it is.
What is the tips like? A friend of mine makes £1 for every delivery and then a tip if he gets one. Think he gets a standard £30 for the night as well but that has to cover petrol etc.
