Saw this thread today for first time. A little off topic, but the save I enjoyed the most was Benfica on FM 17, when I won the championship league with 10 academy players on starting eleven. Unfortunately, I couldn't do the same on FM 18, I had the team again with academy players, but never had sucess or was even close on FM 18. I will try again this year!
And I'm late, but great read on this thread!

This years' training is great, going way back on FM or CM, don't remember exactly. Only thing I don't like, now training contributes even more to the already annoying cry and complaining all the time by players. I had a lot of players unnhappy with training because I had little team training. I changed a few, didn't add any extra session, only changed a few training session to team training, and most of my team became unnhappy because I changed dramatically the training intensity.
But, as I said in firts place, despite that, really happy with training on FM 19.

After last update, Gegenpress tactic,specially with get stuck in instruction,is more UFC than football... Jesus..but even with that instruction disabled, so many yellow cards...
And I'm a litle disapointed Portuguese League is so poorly done, calendar, B teams, cups... we give feedback, it is almost always ignored..

Thanks. I went to change the duties and it changed to fluid. So, the assistant manager asking on pre match to play very fluid, is his opinion?

I didn't play much yet, but from what I've played, I'm liking it. The training part is still a bit confusing, but with time I'm sure I will get used to it. I have one question, don't know if its a bug, but not sure where to ask it. On this version, as I understand, the fluidity comes automatically with the way we set up the tactics, am I right? But, no matter how I change the transitions, it shows always strutured on the tactics screen. And my assistant manager, on the briefing with the team, asks them to play very fluid. Is this a bug, or am I'm doing something wrong?

Nice trailer! I know that's probably not going to change soon, but it would be so nice if SI could launch the game earlier, on September or October,it always seems forever since the season starts until we can play with our team on FM. And how cool would it be if finally this year FM gives us a decent training system? But I will not get my hopes high on this either..

It could be, I don't want so sound just another frustrated player that comes here just to complain. But when I see highliths of my players failing to make simple passes, 2 or 3 highlights of that, or creating great chances and miss with an open goal, I know that will be a game with many mistakes in the first case and a game where I will make 30 shots and not win. Again, it can be bias, it can be the case that AI learned to play better against me, and against some tactics I can't react the right way. But after update, came back some elements I didn't like on previous versions. And it could be due to me don't have the tools necessary to react the right way. Overall I'm still doing good, on 4th season I'm still first on the league and won 5 of 5 games on Champions League group phases, but not enjoying, because as I explained, even if I'm wrong, I don't feel I have the power to change things. Other example I gave on other thread is the long shots. No matter what instructions I give to the players/team, the amount of shots that end close to the corner flag, after update increased so much..

For me the fun of playing this game was almost gone after the 18.2 update. I keep winning, still won the Portuguese League after the update, but the game feels a lot more like FM 16 or 17, and not in the good way. First of all, it takes me 3 or 4 highlights to know that I will not win a game, no matter what I do. And it didn't happened before the update. The amount of 30 shot games against 1 opposition shot and loose increased a lot. I can't win one penalty shot decision, no matter what the opponent is. This is not about rant, I'm not loosing a lot, I just won against Atletico Madrid away, and I won last season 3-0 away against Tottenham, playing Benfica. I'm still winning, but the fun is not there. My last two games, I won 9-1 against Chaves, a good midle table team, and then, I draw 0-0, in a game that took me 4 highlights to say, I'm not winning this game. Probably this will be evaluate as a rant, but if it is a rant, is not about not winning, but this year I really thinked that I would be back playing a lot more than previous years, and I'm about to stop playing it. Because until the 18.2, game was fun, loosing or winning. Sometimes changes worked, sometimes they would be disastrous, but that's the fun of the game.Now, I see a couple of highlights and I know if I'm going to win or not..

This is not a bug, but annoying thing that happens. I'm managing Benfica, that has many good young players. At every tranfer window, I receive the same transfer offer, or very similar, over and over again until the transfer window closes. An example, I have a very good central back, Ruben Dias. I ask for 40 million + bonus, and PSG, Barcelona and Man City offer me 20 million + bonus. I negociate, they reject. And then they come with the same offer over and over again. And that gets annoying. I know I can reject automatically all offers lower than the value I want, but I don't think that teams make the same offer from 15 July to 31 August almost every day, specially if they are far from what is asked.

I'm enjoying playing the beta, most because of the ME I think is very promising. Don't care for dynamics and game day experiences. The main complain I have, have it for years now.. the way the calendars are made. We play FM like NBA or NHL is played, with 3 or 4 games home and away in a row. And that does not happen, at least if you are not playing NHL or NBA. SI should add a meeting with the team, preparing for road trips and prepare the team mentally to be away from home for several weeks!
Everything else, the UI, at first impact was weird, but now I'm enjoying it a lot.

Some people are complaining about long balls, but everybody needs to study if the tactics and TI suits their team. A team with slow defenders will have a more difficult time with such high line, I think..

Like others, mixed feelings so far. Game looks slower to process, specially on match day, but that can be related to the laptop I use. Scouting looks promising, but I have to explore it more. The ME, I don't see many people complain, for me it's the worst thing so far. Later I will provide my save game in the bugs forum, because sometimes I have this happening. Opposition is attacking, I have my four defenders, defensive mildfielder and Box to box in a line at the top of the Box, and I had my advanced playmaker, wingers and striker on a perfect line at the mildfield line. So the opposition had four players passing the ball alone on my mildfield.. I had literally no one of my team between the lines of mildfield and the box. I have fluid shape and close down more, so this must be some kind of bug.

I'm on 2022/2023 season, and I'm enjoying playing this year's game. Tactics and training made it more fun. Sure there's improvements to be made on ME, but I'm enjoying that part of game a lot more than on previous versions.
Now the things I don't like, and make the experience less enjoyable. There's some things that come already from previous versions of FM that should be sorted out. I always play my first save in Portugal, and the value of players is something so unrealistic. I give some examples. I have a great young player, João Felix, valued at 34M €.. I sold Seferovic on first season, he is nothing special, his stats, his goals, assists, average rating are really poor, and his value is 30M€, on Burnley. And I have plenty of examples like that, like when I sold Samaris, not a bad player, but as soon as I sold him, his value went to 25M €, and that's just silly. Related to transfers, everytime transfer window opens, I keep receiving the exactly same offers, every day for the same players until transfer window closes. I know I have the option to decline all offers below a value, but it's annoying.. you want 30M € for Gedson Fernandes? No? And now, you want 30M for him? No? And now,you want 30M? Doesn't make sense...
Finally, and this happened as well on FM 18, the results after a few seasons, become just silly. A lot of 9-1, 7-1, 6-4, 5-5, etc... and specifically talking about Portugal, FM 19 is not well balanced, all seasons I played, Porto is almost unbeatable, my team (Benfica) as well.. Sporting always finishes miles away. Previous versions were way more balanced, all teams had good and bad seasons, like on real life.
