Tearing up League 2 with these - Kane especially has been immense.

Aye I've signed him a couple of times as a promotion chasing Championship side in previous games, but find him a bit weak in the push up the premier table (not fit enough for my play style). Just never expected to AI to have him be a multiple La Liga winner!

Running a journeyman save and have just won the CL with Hertha against Real Madrid in 2033. Imagine my surprise when squeaky bum-time was started by Adam Idah. Took a look at his career, general Championship/League 1 before absolutely destroying the Italian Leagues with Salernitana and getting a move to Real. Incredible scoring record considering his attributes. Anyone found anything similar?

Jim,
Here is what I cam up with, and I will admit I am not sure how correct it is, in fact it is mostly guess work:
More for my own curiosity that anything else, I will also admit I may have gone way to far In the Weeds on this one, or I am reinventing the wheel...or I need to embrace the power of "AND"
Take a Teams Training Facilities, grade them on a scale of 1 (Poor) to 10 (State of the Art)
Take Newgen Quality (Limited =1, Basic=2, Fairly Basic =3, Adequate =4, Good=5, Excellent=6, Great =7, Superb=8) but because we are using a base 10 scale multiply those by 1.25, so Limited = 1.2 and Superb = 10
Take Youth Recruitment Level (Limited Basic =1 , Fairly Basic =2, Adequate=3, etc etc )but because we are using a base 10 scale multiply those by 1.25 as well.
Youth Rating + Youth Potential / 2 Gives Avg Youth Score
Overall Youth Score is (Training + NewgenQ)*Youth Recruitment Level
Overall Rating is Avg Youth Rating * Overall Youth Score (Rounded for ease)
So, if you Sort by Overall Rating you get this:Which at First glance "looks" right, but now I think I am weighing Youth Rating/Potential wrong. Liefering being the outlier thats causing me to say that.
What I failed to take into account on this version was the countries investment in soccer. The other thing think I am looking at wrong is how Youth Recruitment and Youth Rating worked together, and how Training facilities work with Potential. At the end of the day its all guesswork. Fun guesswork yes, but still guesswork.

Feels like this is missing a couple of important variables, which is the Youth Rating of a Nation and Club Reputation. Lierfering are not an outlier when you take in to account they have the 2nd best hard values in their nation but at the lower end of the reputation curve. And both them and Salzburg for their lower nation youth rating.

Sorry for the late reply buddy! You've probably sorted it now.
I used vini Jr and Rodrigo as Benzema backup if needed. Lemme know how you got on!

Best young Spanish talent you can get in fm22 without raiding Barca
Nico Serrano
Yeremy Pino
Try and keep hold of Diaz after loan and give as much game time to Julen Jon G and De La Vibora as you can.
I've never been able to sell Bale, but Isco and Marcelo are easy enough.
Get rid of All 3 of Mariano, Jovic and Hazard (if possible on the latter) and focus on youth.

Wow, AI Man City gets 54 goals out of him? Madness! The guy is obviously broken 😅
But those 46 goals for Isak is an impressive achievement! Crazy that with Haaland around that's still not enough to win the top scorer awards.
I know right! I would agree that he's broken but for the fact he's doing it in real life Previous FM's I've struggled to see any AI top scorers getting more than 20-25 (including Haaland).

Even AI controlled he is insane. I set up my tactic to get Isak to get as many goals as possible and didn't even come close.

An interesting factoid is that they signed Borja Valero for the 2021-2022 season.
An interesting fact is that the word "factoid" means an item of unreliable information that is reported and repeated so often that it becomes accepted as fact.
However in America (and now Britain too sigh) it is so often wrongly used as an alternative for "fact" that it is slowly gaining a second meaning as a synonym of Fact.
Making both meanings of the word entirely contradict each other.
Schrödinger's Factoid if you will.
Anyway...FOOTBALL!

eek! Let's hope for a good cup run, being that much in debt has killed me before - Wage Budget of 0.

Wow, what are your finances like? Does Holland have a sugar daddy as I've not been able to get my teams passed Basic Coaching/Recruitment until I've been at a much higher level (and a few lucky FA Cup runs). Youth Coaching is a huge monthly bill at that level too isn't it?

And with that the save is over. Probably could have won all the big prizes this Jan.
No replies but I had fun writing this all up. If anyone would like me to continue this save with another absolute legend then I'm happy to sign them up and continue.

Another reason to stick another year!

Well I bloody hope not, you have a Ballon d'Or to aim for this year!

With Mbappé joining, Bazunu, Porro and Alvarez returning from loan. The only targets this year will be a CB and a CM to replace Aké and Gundogan. De Ligt & Goretzka are the primary targets

Just before the final against Inter he signed new terms. I'm hoping this means we'll get another season out of him.
Steffan, Gundogan, Ake & Jesus have all used these few days to state they wish to leave. Feels like a bug they wouldn't wait until after the CL final as none of their poor morale backsides are going to see the pitch now.

Passed up on for Player of the Year by Andy Robertson who had a 7.70 avg...fair enough

The 35 wasn't to be! But he is now tied equal with Andy Cole and Alan Shearer on top of the Premier League Top Scorers. Next; Awards and Inter!
