  1. Fought against relegation and established myself. I will be honest, I am nowhere near as good as others here, so I am enjoying the challenge but know that reaching the Premier League will take 10-15 actual years. Tried to focus on cup competitions, as you can see that went awfully. Finances now at 0. Got to really push for a good 3rd season in this league.
  2. A season to forget where I trusted my scouts too much, trusted my tried and tested tactic from the previous leagues and I was found out in many ways. Stayed up with 1 game to spare. Now spending the next 12 months in the last year of my contract whilst studying for continental A and rebuilding.
  3. Had some spare time so did a season. Got promoted in the play offs after squeaking in last game. Focussed on the cups to try and get some revenue in, which you can see went....well.... Under 18s have won the league twice on the spin, so hoping that means I am going to get some good ones coming up, or at least some money from player sales.
  4. @kieran_stutes are you going to go for that coveted Champions League trophy? You can't leave it as the runner up surely haha.
  5. My first season where I leave empty handed. I knew from my early FA cup exit I hadn't got a golden team like before. Started the season winning 7 from 7 and then the wheels fell off.
  6. Is there a known bug where players that have left still show on your wage budget and your tactics screen? I have got a few that have left but are still showing. I can't see how to get rid of them.
  7. Another promotion play off. I was my own worst enemy and dropped to 3rd in the back end of the season. Main striker got 39 across all competitions.
  8. I need a VAR please! I somehow have a player who was playing football 20 years before he was born! Not sure how this one has happened.
  9. I am not sure how much is luck, but I was took over by a fan trust at the end of my 3rd consecutive promotion into county league. We were £60k in the red and these guys put a £100k loan in to balance it out. Wasn't too keen on that in all honesty but since then they have injected ~£25k in a month and it's not going on the debt. We are still insecure financially but sitting in the black now for a bit. Its scouting costs that will end up costing you. Get a month or 2 scouting done in the pre season and then don't have them scouting for the rest of the season or you will just watch the money fly out. I haven't found a way to combat losing players left and right with nothing you can do. Only a few have stayed the course so far. Connor Russo, if I ever meet you. I will shake your hand for your dedication to the cause.
  10. 3rd season. Promotion through the play offs after losing the title on GD. Left it until the last minute of the game to tie up the final and then won it on pens. The playoff run helped boost attendance and really helped my finances. Apparetnyl the chairman is looking to sell up, so I wonder what the close season will be like! Onto County League! EDIT TO ADD COMPETITIONS PAGE:
  11. I am in season 3 but I will be taking my time this time. Mostly due to blitzing season 2 as it was just so easy that I ended up spending near 14 hours on the laptop. Turns out that is a fantastic way to cause a migraine. Also within 3 games in the new division I got turned over by a team who are now sitting pretty at the top of the league and appear to be unbeaten away in nearly a season. Got to knuckle this one down a bit and enjoy it. Currently only getting job interview offers from surrounding clubs really and using all my scouting budget has done a number on the finances. I am within wage budget but I really need to turn that ship around somehow. Every season the preview puts me as relegation fodder, so even though I may have the best coaches, scouts and physios in the league, the first goal is as always to steer of relegation and then anything after that is just a bonus. I won't be able to compete with most of you guys, as this is the first time I have ever had a save below National League South, when I tried the old Chester City challenge a few years ago. It's interesting for sure! Off to chase down top spot!
  12. back to back promotions. Undefeated all the way to the title and won it with 7 to spare
  13. Wow, losing my laptop to my wife wanting to play House Flipper 2 has really put me back a few seasons. Grats to those who have somehow managed to wrap up season 3! I best get the laptop set up next to the work laptop today!
  14. Slightly annoyed i lost 1 game, but that Newcastle Town reserves team were on fire at the back end of the season
