  2. I'm having fun with this tactic. Have taken Eastleigh into the Premier League so I don't think you should scrap it. I get some strange results sometimes and consistency is almost non-existent, but I love the simplicity of it as I don't have a lot of time to play.
  3. #1 CPU: Intel i7-3770K CPU Frequency: 3.9GHz o/c @ 4.8GHz RAM: 32GB 2133Mhz OS: Win 7 Pro 64-bit Time: 2 min 11 sec #2 CPU: AMD Piledriver FX-8320 4.0GHz o/c @ 5GHz RAM: 16GB 2400Mhz OS: Win 7 Pro 64-bit Time: 4 min 2 sec For anyone that plays a LOT of FM with many leagues the i7 is worth it as it processes eight matches (threads) at once. No need for more than 8GB of RAM as FM is a 32bit application - memory usage never goes above 2.5GB with 32 leagues running. AMD processors simply don't cut the mustard with FM, Intels IPC (instructions per clock) are significantly better.
  4. Remember playing something on the ZX81 which I got for my 12th birthday in 1981... think it was Football Manager by Kevin Toms, then when I got my Dragon 32 in '84 I remember playing something on that too. Had a BBC Micro for a couple of years but don't remember a management game for it. Got an Amiga when they came out, played nothing else on it for a couple of years. My favourite, however, was Championship Manager 97/98 - network games lasting for weeks and weeks with my long-suffering mate who never, ever seemed to grasp the mechanics of it. Have played every version but I feel it's just getting too complicated now... or maybe I'm m just too old!
